Nice little coffee shop if you want to get away from downtown and the crowd. I should have went with cortado. Matcha latte was just ok for me.

There is parking in the back. And plenty of it!

My wife and I went to Carmel for a getaway weekend. On the way back home I stopped by here for a coffee for the long ride back. It was a great choice! Although cappuccinos are not listed in the menu they will make it for you. I ordered the standard sized cappuccino with oat milk. It was quite tasty. I'll be back when I visit Carmel again.

good matcha, which is surprisingly difficult to find in the Monterey/Carmel area! Although, it is nothing special. The croissant here was $6 and also nothing special, they don't heat it up either. Cute cafe, lots of young people here, but pricey for what it is. I'm sure it's a good local spot but not sure if it's worth it for a visitor unless you're just searching for a decent matcha/coffee and nothing more.

Ok coffee. Nothing special but definitely not bad. Don't know if I'd recommend anything here but if you need coffee and its local definitely come by. Got the matcha latte and vanilla latte. The place itself was cute though, parking is in the back

A great addition to downtown Monterey! Shoutout to my sister who found this place. We both ordered a matcha latte with oat milk. Mine was sweetened with honey while her matcha was sweetened with vanilla. FYI they use Rocky's matcha (if the photo didn't win you over already). The place itself had great lighting and good amount of seating. Try this place out! It's across my favorite place to get sushi.

I was so excited to hear that this coffee shop was coming to Monterey and I've loved this place since they opened! Personally I feel it's hard to find a good coffee shop in Monterey county but they do not disappoint from the coffee, pastries, and staff. They have amazing pastries (so good you need to make sure to wake up early and snag some before they sell out), the service is always kind and welcoming and the coffee shop has a good bit of seating. Just great vibes all around.

Great coffee shop! Good vibe in this place, bright, delightful and yet calm. The barista is awesome and friendly. We ordered a flat white and an americano, both tasted delicious. The Felt+Fat coffee mugs are comfortable to hold.

Best specialty coffee in Monterey! They do a great light roast. Seating is small and they don't offer public WiFi so it's not a place to sit and work at but the coffee is incredible

Visited a number of times, from the day they first opened to today nothing has changed: everything is amazing. Service is great, friendly people, and the drinks are so good. Whether it's a vanilla latte, mocha or matcha latte it won't disappoint!

I love when new coffee shops pop up! This is a great addition to the coffee scene in Monterey! The staff was friendly and the inside of the cafe was bright and airy. My cortado was delicious, perhaps the milk wasn't as creamy as I wished but overall still a great pick me up! Would love to be back to try their matcha!

Yet another quasi 3rd wave coffee shop that only serves 12oz drinks. Great crew. Solid service. LIMITED menu and small drink sizes. I want to love this place. They'll need some specialized scratch made syrups and a 16oz size for this place to become my regular jam. It's got the swell...just needs nail the crest. Here's to hoping.

I've been walking by this place a lot waiting for it to open. I could see a couple people in there daily working on getting the place together. They've really created a quaint, no frills place that is very welcoming. The service has been friendly and quick despite only being open a couple of days. The drinks are $4 for drip and about $5 for lattes which is cheaper than I expected for a new place with quality beans. I even bought a bag of beans from them that was cheaper than the roaster sells it online! This place will definitely be added to the rotation!

Such a cute little coffee shop. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and such a vibe. This place has a limited seating area, but you can take your drink to go and down to the beach for a scenic walk

Delicious spinach biscuit pastry! Quick service. Not a lot of parking in the area but luckily found a spot.

Meh, the employees weren't super nice, they only have vanilla and simple syrup to sweeten, matcha could of been much greener

Walking around the bookstore while waiting for my order and then after my coffee break was a perfect way to spend an afternoon. Bookworks is a 'must visit' in Pacific Grove if you're in town. Sometimes they've been lovely and bubbly, but for some reason this one blonde staff member never seems like she actually wants to help. I had some questions on summer specials since "refresher" doesn't tell me much and she kept telling me about other drinks instead and being super short. The whole interaction still only had to have taken 2 min with only one person (who had been there for a bit already and seems local/older) behind me. Yet the minute I paid, even though I apologized for the questions and tipped, she loudly and passive aggressively said "sorry for the wait" to the next person right in front of me and they both laughed right in front of my face. I read the other review of the person who said they'd been here a bunch and usually loved it and then had a bad interaction and are also not like the "usual" demo of PG - I am also a person of color who was made to feel the same way. Such a shame what one bad impression can leave. Multiple comments about this has to be more than a coincidence... I would come back only maybe if this person wasn't working but not going to go out of my way anymore

There are a half dozen other breakfast spots in town that we enjoy when we are in Monterey - we blew all of them off. This place is too fast and too good, honestly to want to get in the car and head over to any of those other spots. Is this place fancy? No. Is this place big? No! Its tiny! Is the food gourmet? No! Stop asking questions. The food is delicious and hot. The coffee and tea is yummy and hot. Everything is hot. The people are super friendly and hot. I like how real they are too - it's Saturday at 6am, everyone is dragging. I asked the people behind the counter how they were doing and they were (gasp) honest! We don't want to be here! Getting to work at 5am on Saturday is terrible but I respect and appreciate a human response. I really like this place - even the pastries are good and thats a good thing because we bought a bunch of them. I will end with this and then leave you alone - we left this place at 615am and sat down in the main grandstand in Turn 4 at Laguna Seca at 715am to watch epic Historic car racing and sank my teeth into a HOT and beautiful croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon in it in the heavy fog. Everything was wet and cold - I drank my hot tea and ate my food.... and it was simply glorious. Thank you to the real humans at Plumes. Yall rock.

My husband ordered the Apple Pie flavor, and it was just as delicious. The balance of cinnamon and apple was spot on without either flavor overpowering the other.
