The great outdoors! Beautiful blue Lupine and the native California poppy blooms. This was a great day for a hike!

We've visited Six Sigma a couple times over the last 3 years with my Aunt who is a member and we love this place! They have great wine, hiking and biking trails as well as events. They also have campsites if you're looking to camp in your RV on a Ranch & Winery! We've attended two events here, the first was a farm to table dinner and more recently was a guided hike with tacos & wine tasting. Both events feature beef raised on their ranch and of course their tasty wine. The owners and employees here are very friendly, easy to talk to and extremely welcoming. The views here are amazing from the vineyard to the overlook during your hike and the cows, horses, sheep and wildflowers. The tasting room has pamphlets with all the wildflowers you may encounter, which makes it fun and my family did a scavenger hunt once to see who found the most!

We have been wine club members here for over a year now. It is a huge ranch with a small family feel as it is family owned & operated. There is plenty of room there for our kids to play. Definitely a great winery to bring friends and family. We recently went to their international Tempranillo day celebration & was a fantastic time. The wine maker explained each wine that paired with the meals in a fun manner. This wine club is a keeper for us as it has a lot to offer with its membership & the wines are excellent.

What a unique experience camping at Six Sigma Ranch & Winery as part of the Harvest Host program. We tasted wonderful wines and cheeses in a friendly, laid-back setting and dry camped among the rolling oaks near this bridge. We would love to go back again!

Our RV campsite at Six Sigma Ranch. The tasting room is a short walk away.

In early March 2021 we booked an RV site at Six Sigma Winery to taste their wines and visit the area around Clear Lake. The 4000 acre ranch has beautiful rugged scenery with a seasonal creek running through the property. In early spring when we visited, the oak trees had not yet budded out but the fields were green from recent rains. We enjoyed the feeling of isolation while only being a few miles away from Lower Lake and Hidden Valley. The wines were uniformly excellent. We particularly enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and the Tempranillo. We joined the wine club and purchased a mixed case. We highly recommend six Sigmas Winery.

We did the winery tour and tasting. It was a beautiful Spot. All the people were very helpful and the tour was informative. The wines were very good. We brought our 9 year old and saw a number of other children-- family friendly. The kids can check out the livestock. We loved it!

Wowzers! This place is awesome and a trek to get there! I'm so grateful they have signs along the way letting people know how much farther. This is a beautiful winery surrounded by gorgeous trees and many birds. The acorn woodpeckers are incredible! They poke a hole, put an acorn in it, let it sit so bugs get on the acorn and come back and eat it!! The trees had so many open holes and acorn filled holes. It was super cool! We had a chance to talk with the owner and he was really nice and friendly. We had a chance to try some of their meat and it was delicious! Their wine tasting is beautifully set up. I loved that I was able to swirl, smell and sip from a regular sized glass! We sat on two comfortable rockers outside. The tables that are set up all around are varied which allows everyone to find something they like. The family utilizes the land and is an active farm. We parked by a pig and some goats. They showcased some different types of wines and I really liked them and the variety. This was the perfect place to go on a Saturday afternoon drive from Calistoga.

At the top, we looked for lake county diamonds on the trails -- which my kids were so excited to do and find.

I took 6 wine bottles to our Country Club to our "Ladies who Lunch and Love Fine Wine" and I was totally embarrassed the Wine Master couldn't get the cork out in one piece. We open 6 bottles and we drank cork we every sip. So, DO NOT BUY THIS WINE because it tastes like aged vinegar and cork! I have been a member of this "Ladies who Lunch who Love Fine Wine" for 15 years and I was so humiliated. So, lesson learned. I called Mitch, the owner of Hawk & Horse and he did NOT offer any suggestions. I ordered a 2022 bottle and it had the same problem. Mitch is too cheap to sell his "fine & over priced wine" with a proper cork. Forger the 4K I spent with supporting a small business owner (only 13 acres) I will never get over the humiliation from these women who trusteed me. After calling Mitch, the owner who needs to retire. He was hostile and on speaker phone at the luncheon. He has LOST all of his ATLANTA business. We are Southern and we talk and tell it All. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the weather, overcast and cloudy with some sun finally appearing toward the end. But still had some amazing views. The wines were all very good with some being standouts. The number and size of the tastings were more than acceptable. Our host Jazzlynn was personable and informative. She had nothing but positive things to say about the winery, owners, winemaker and working there--all pluses in my book as I love supporting family-run businesses who care about their employees. The drive up the mountain to get to Wild Diamonds in Lake County is nice and also provides for the great scenery while tasting in the "rooms with a view". With enough notice (48 hours) they can have charcuterie boards available for you. I thought I also heard them say you're welcome to bring your own--but don't quote me on that... verify! (Doesn't have to be romantic; can also be fun with girlfriends!) This is an absolutely beautiful 3-bedroom home equipped with everything you can think of for a good time: full kitchen, dining area, patio with BBQ grill, fire pit, plenty of tables and chairs, and we even saw hammocks hanging on some trees! The rooms can be individually booked, or you can book all three for your friends and family. The home sits on a vineyard, so you get to taste their delicious wines. In the dining/living room area, you have access to games and a projector that is connected to Apple TV, so you can project a movie on the wall! How cool is that?! DANIEL gave us the best wine-tasting experience we have ever had. His explanations were thorough and very interesting. It went beyond the "peppery notes with hints of berries" descriptions you usually get at wineries. He explained the winemaking process because he has done it all, from planting grapes to making wine. And he was very kind and patient with all of our questions. And up the hill a little bit there is another home that they rent as well, and if it is vacant, you get full access to the pool! Another thing I appreciated now during covid is that the entire home was very clean! No carpet in the rooms (which makes it feel instantly cleaner already), the sheets smelled of fresh laundry detergent, and the shower was spotless. The rooms also have beautiful wooden patios. And then in the morning, we got a delicious hot breakfast by Gunay! She was so sweet and hospitable. On a sad note, they no longer have the llamas or sheep. But it is still a great experience! Also, don't be scared when you are following the GPS to arrive here! It's literally in the middle of no where! In conclusion to my short novel, we will definitely be returning with friends and enjoy all of the amenities!
