Booked this van online , in bold letters it says Mercedes van and in small letters or dodge caravan , of course they had no Mercedes , van was fine but we paid 187.00 total for the weekend then they surprised us with the "basic" coverage for insurance at $95.94 plus the tax on top of that which brought it up to $308. 47 . Not to mention the radio never worked for a roundtrip 14 hour drive . All expensive hidden charges . Won't book here again . read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My friend reserved a car for yesterday; the reservation stated we could pick up after 3. Once we arrived, we were told the car was gone and there were no other cars available. After leaving, we checked the website and it showed cars WERE available. The woman helping us was very rude and it was clear she didn't want anything to do with us from the beginning. We are baffled as to why she didn't offer us another car. Perhaps she didn't like the way we looked or this was racial discrimination . :( Neither give her the right to treat a customer who is trying to give her business that way. My friend's family is visiting for Christmas and this was not a good start to their holiday week. We will try again today with Enterprise, where we have never had issues. Again looks like they scammed another customer, I reserved a certain class of car over a month prior to arrival, because I got a great deal on THERE site, and behold they were out of that class. Oh they said they up graded me for the same price, just like another post on here only for the fee of $2500 deposit, really who has that kind of cash to just maybe not get back. So what happened I got down graded to a car that had been wrecked, dirty, had greese on it, for the same amount as what I reserved, because since where I was there were no other options to go to another company. I had called customer service and was to get an email with the complaint number, 4 days later still no email, I also contacted there Facebook chat and kept getting the run around, oh it takes 24-48 business hours to have someone get ahold of me, really they are open 7 days a week. I rented the car for 9 days, now I'm 5 days into it. I would give a negative if I could. So much for having a good birthday vacation with my wife. So just bewhere of this company, I gave them the benefit of the dought before they took advantage of me.... Back to reply yes they credited me some, that was because they took a day off because they took so long to scam me into the POS that I had to take, I was never offered the Audi as an equivalent option. Seems from alot of reviews​ that this is a common practice if you advertise and get a good deal on YOUR SITE they do the expensive upgrade or the down grade to not what you ordered. Looks like the BBB needs to look into this company. read more

Do not choose this car company! They like to add hidden fees and trick you into paying extra. None of the staff are properly informed about their company policies. Also, they were rude! I have dealt with both Sixt locations in Las Vegas and LA by Venice Beach. Both locations were horrible and I would never recommend it to anyone! read more

Do not rent from Sixt in Venice. I ended up not getting the car in the class I had booked but rather a gas guzzling SUV. In addition, the manager "does not work on weekends" and apparently discourages employees from calling him/her at home when manager-level decisions have to be made. They don't have the cars you book online. We went in for a Mercedes and had to take a Cadillac. I was very dissapointed.

I can see why it has such a low rating. We reserved online, scheduled a pick-up time for noon. Arrived early. There was a couple obviously upset because they'd been there a long time and it was taking forever for the employee to get gas in their rental and get back. One employee was at the counter helping one guy. We waited for 35 minutes without any acknowledgement from any staff. No water, coffee, cozy chairs or magazines or TV. No menus regarding the services they offer or the rental types. Nobody said hello. When we got to the counter, there was no "sorry for the wait," just straight business. There was a mix-up and they decided they could not use a debit card for the deposit. So I had a credit card but they said we couldn't use it because it wasn't the card that the reservation was made with. (It was made with the debit card). If we used my card they would have to start the reservation over and it would be a much higher price so we canceled. We mentioned that if we didn't have credit for religious reasons, we could not rent a car. The lady said that it has nothing to do with religion (she didn't understand the concept that people may not have credit). Anyway, waste of time but the biggest part is that their customer service skills were lacking. read more

The worse! I use to use sixt all the time and they've become such a pain in the ass. You can't ever call and get through to someone- they don't match or honor the rates that come up on yelp, the customer service is terrible. The car I reserved wasn't there, which I get they can't really guarantee so they put me in another car and I had to bring it back 10 minutes later because I had an asthma attack and such bad chest pains from the smoke smell in the car. There were ashes everywhere and it clearly hadn't been clean. Upon bringing it back the young lady working told me there's nothing she could personally do. She'd have to "tell her manager" which you never can get ahold of or hear back from. I've used them on a monthly basis and they don't value customers or returning customers. read more

I booked a small, fuel efficient car via their app. I get there and they tell me the only car they have available is actually a minivan. Keep in mind, there's cars in their front lot AND their rear lot. I ask about those, and they tell me they're all booked. Like 10 of them are all booked a few hours before closing, with me being the only customer in sight. Fine, I'll take the minivan. They go to retrieve it from their OVERFLOW lot, which I find out is a third lot filled with "booked" cars. Fantastic, you LIARS! Now I'm stuck driving a huge gas guzzler in LA traffic. 07.14. 2017 I have made the reservation of Hundai Solyaris or similar , than 07.15.2017 I changed it to Chevrolet Malibu or similar . When I came to the office, the very rude woman employee said to me that she can only give me the Toyota Yaris, that class lower , and if I want another car I should extra pay. I said that it is not my fault that office didn't have That car, the system didn't show me that the car is unavailable (and Sixt always made upgrade for free in case of unavailability)And she said if I want another car , not a Yaris, that is class lower than Malibu I have to pay ! And she forced to pay 200 $ more for keeping the same car that I had from the previous rent! I am a loyal customer of Sixt, and I have never met such a rude and unprofessional employee in Sixt offices, that person very impolite, slamming the doors in faces of customers. Terrible. read more

I can not agree with all the other people having problems. Have rented cars here two times now. 12 days + 1 day, both times free upgrade to a higher car class, car was ready by time of arrival (10am + 8am), pick up and return was quick and easy...so...thumbs up... read more

The service was wonderful, the car was exactly what I had reserved (and less expensive than everywhere else that I had looked) and was clean and ready to go half an hour earlier than I had scheduled to arrive for pick up. Everything is great when they are taking the money at the beginning, it's on drop off when everything changes. Thank the lords of car hire I opted for the insurance otherwise I would have been seriously sharked by the bad attitude ridden Veronica who works as a car cleaner/inspector. Before I had even got out the car she shouts at me through the window "You know you got a dent on this right?!", I hadn't even switched the engine off. There was a dent, but that was all signed off on prior to driving away originally, "That's not on the system". My heart rate increased as I hadn't had good experience with rental cars before, eventually I had to go inside, queue around 15 mins only to be told it was on the system, and that I had insurance so nothing would have actually mattered. Of course, Veronica must not enjoy cleaning people's cars and informing them they are about to be sharked, but her attitude was terrible. Oh well, all was resolved in the end. Only used Sixt as I managed to get an incredible deal price wise, probably won't rush back. read more

He was quick, explained everything and showed me all the important details on the receipt, and even gave me a free upgrade to a BMW 328i since my car wasn't ready. Just come from England, rang up previous to car pick up and was advised to just book online before coming in, I asked the lady on the phone what documents I need and I told her I had no credit card. I was informed that I just need my passport and return flight itinerary. When I turned up I was told that I need to put a credit down in my name even though I was told otherwise. My gfs brother paid out over 500 dollars to make the online reservation because I only had cash, after much deliberating, hanging around and phone calls we established an alternative method and was told I could use my debit card for the deposit. After my card got declined it was tried a second time and the money went from my account (65 pounds) I was told I could not have the car as there was a problem with my card even though the money had left my bank already. We left stressed out, nearly $600 out of pocket and no car. Not happy! ... Also I forgot... I was also told that it was COMPULSORY to buy the cover which adds another 11 dollars per day starting price. It's not compulsory and would have been nice I was told it was an option. I would have got it anyway but to be given the hard sell like this isn't on. And I also forgot the money has still not been refunded to my card 2 days later read more

I've used this sixt location several times. When they first opened, it was adequate customer service. They have really stepped up in their service. Had no problems on my recent rentals. Chad the manager was very helpful. Id definitely rent the cadillacs over the mercedes. Much better driving experience. Ill continue to goto this location. read more
