They do standalone bagels and schmears, as well as, a variety of bagel sandwiches too. Family tried the Lox and the Morning. Both were amazing. Love the fact that they incorporate local ingredients too! Get there early though. The bagel I got was plain (ordered everything) but was good, unfortunate that they can't heat them up- it took me a year to finally drive by and get a parking spot. Great cream cheese. Unfortunately my family have also been given the wrong bagel or cream cheese so I probably won't go back. I will be back if they can heat them up, and I can see it before it's handed off! read more

Very good cream cheese schmear! We tried the scallion on the sandwiches and got a container of the salmon to go! Bagels nice and chewy, ingredients seem to be good quality and friendly staff. They do run out of bagel choices so you have to go early! read more

Absolutely loved up to the hype! The line you see outside is more about people waiting for the orders than waiting to order. The prices are pretty reasonable given that you are actually getting a true NYC bagel and not some chewy glop that passes for bagels to the uninitiated. Eh, it's okay. I went there first thing in the morning and there was a line of about 10 people ahead of me. It didn't take long to get through. The bagels were good however, they were cold and a little tough. They tasted day old. I expected warm and fresh bagels. read more

Almost a 4 but growing pains get in the way. 3rd time trying and each time bagels inconsistent one to the next. They get the crispy chew correct.. but todays selection grossly under proofed, so inside gummy... edible with toasting Even good but not toasted crust too thick, inside yuck 2nd time brought to a alaska for testing. Unfortunately no plastic bag available . But bagels traveled well and remained toastable over a couple days... though evrone commented on how small for the cost. 1st time... well from a position of bagel deprivation not a bad start... just wish counter staff were more conscious if hygiene and food service. I look forward to more growth... but alas at 2.25 will remain a treat not a mainstay. read more

Don't make a point of mentioning that you make the bagels the day before. Small wonder my pumpernickel was, blah. If you haven't the means to toast them, cook them fresh all day, like a real bagel bakery. Loooooove the extra charge for a bit of butter on a bagel that you can't toast. Really love that I have to ask if there is a charge for it, thinking-silly me-that a swipe of butter on a cold bagel should be part of it if requested. The pumpernickel recipe certainly needs work. Maybe ask around as to what pumpernickel should taste like. What i had was the most pale of imitations. Pale grey/brown dough with no zing whatsoever. If you know the difference, don't bother. read more

We walked in and it had a great vibe. I have never been in a bagel-only place. They were patient with my dumb questions, and were fun in general. The bagels were great, and my New York Husband loved them. We had a couple breakfast sammies which were great. Their care of their craft came across in their customer service. I have nearly lived in both the Bagelry in Bellingham and Blazing Bagels in Seattle with lots of friends (and free bagels) at both and I have to say any reviewer with any complaints about sixth borough is absolutely lost on what a good bagel is. This place is serving them, no doubt about it. I have eaten 4 or 5 of their bagel sandwiches now and each time they have been consistently amazing. The bread quality is very high, the ingredients are fresh, the eggs are cooked from whole after you order, they're very quick and kind and the place is cute as I'll get out. Absolutely thrilled this place is in the neighborhood. Ps the bagels are very good untoasted!! When they bake them to perfection the first time they don't want to ruin it with a toast. Listen to them when they say they won't toast it, they know their bagels. read more

Happy to get a new bagel place in Oly. There are a lot of good bakeries but not there aren't great bagels. We waited in a fairly long line over the weekend. We bought 3 (plain, salt, everything) types of bagels and scallion cream cheese. The bagels were great. They had a really nice chew. The cream cheese was packed with scallions. The coffee was good. Are we they the best bagels I've ever had? No. They are a little small but more importantly, we didn't get a crisp exterior. Are they the best bagels in the area, yes. They are very good. Locally-owned and sourced! Amazing breakfast sandwiches, with fresh specials like Marionberry, lemon zest, honey drizzle, on plain schmear, on your choice of fresh chewy and crispy bagel! Or, egg/bacon or egg/sausage. Service is friendly and proficient. Parking is tight, so maybe avoid in-front parking and walk a little bit. Often, a line at the door, but it moves quickly. read more

OMG! Best bagels outside NYC! Crunchy, chewy, yum! Only downside, they put all the topping on the top, nothing on the bottom. I eat a half at a time, so the top half of my everything bagel was glorious, the bottom half was naked, like a plain bagel. So I took all the topping that fell off the top half and dumped it on my schmear for the bottom half. read more

I was hoping that I would finally get the East Coast bagel experience I read about in some of these reviews. I did not. I went in on a Sunday just before noon. My bagel was stale. I ordered whitefish salad, which was dry and tasteless. But I think the worst part of the experience was watching the lack of food safety as the person helping me wore one pair of gloves and touched countertops, refrigerators, a wet cloth, and a knife before using the same gloved hand to reach into a container of raw onions to grab some for my bagel. I watched her take the plastic off of a cucumber with her teeth. All in all a very disappointing experience. read more

Ok this isn't about the quality of the food per se. The bagels were fine, if slightly over baked/ too crunchy. It's more about the website listing sourdough bagels, me getting excited about driving all the way over there, and then they say, "No we don't have sourdough (I said, oh you're sold out already? They said no, we don't carry them. I said, oh your website says you do. They looked at each other. I get it, they are not the bakers, they are servers. But then they said --wait for it--oh we use sourdough flour in the bagels. I just about puked in my mouth while trying not to laugh in their faces.) So don't believe the website. K so bagel flavor may have been good but I broke my jaw in the 40 minute process that it took me to chew said bagel. Bagel came out cold and brick like also the wrong one, bagels were mixed up lowkey no biggie but was a little upset. Overall warm up your bagel I believe that would fix all of these problems. read more
