Went around 3:30. Their lunch specials go until 4 so I was able to get a ribeye steak lunch. I…read moreforget exact price I think it was $24, but with the price of steak lately it was reasonable, came with one side. Ordered medium rare and came out perfect. There wasn't a ton of flavor, but that's how I like it...just salt and pepper. I like to taste the steak. Especially a ribeye. My girlfriend got the rueben and loved it. She is also big on fries and said they were some of the best she has had. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. As far as drinks...I'm a whiskey/beer drinker so I'm good pretty much anywhere. My girlfriend likes "fun" drinks and said their menu had a good amount of them. She got something on special for valentine's day and said it was delicious. I saw past reviews complain about it being dark. We went during the day so can't speak too much to that, but will say dining room is in the front so it was a little brighter. The bar is in the back and can see how it can get dark, but considering it's a bar.....

Finding the parking lot? Easy.Finding the actual bar & grill? A full-blown scavenger hunt. At night there are ZERO lights, dark signage, and my only landmark was, "Ah yes... follow the sacred Guinness imagery on the front doors like a slightly tipsy pilgrim seeking barley and salvation." During daylight I'm sure it's obvious, but at night (especially in rain or snow) you're basically navigating by faith, GPS betrayal, and hopeful vibes. Staff was attentive, relaxed, and perfectly matched the laid-back local bar & grill energy. The kind of place where regulars probably have "their chair". I didn't catch our waitress's name, but she fully understood the assignment -- group of friends, multiple drinks, laughter escalating in volume -- we felt welcomed, never rushed, and were allowed to spiral socially at our own pace. It was trivia night (we did not participate because our confidence exceeds our actual trivia knowledge), but surrounding tables were living their competitive lives. The menu is... honestly a conversation starter. It's giving jack-of-all-trades comfort food chaos. Where else are you seeing shepherd's pie egg rolls casually coexisting with liver and onions like they negotiated a diplomatic treaty at the United Nations of Comfort Food? Naturally, curiosity and poor impulse control won, and the table ordered the shepherd's pie egg rolls. Because -- science. Drinks: * Beer drinkers were happy -- solid selection, zero complaints. Glasses remained suspiciously empty which tells me everything I need to know.* I ordered a French Martini which immediately turned into the community sample martini. Consensus: enjoyed by others. Personally? Ce n'est pas mon préféré. Growth is knowing when a martini is not your soulmate. C'est la vie! Food: * A couple of us ordered the pot pie -- good temperature, solid comfort vibes, but the crust was thin and a little chewy instead of crispy, flaky and and emotionally supportive. Slight emotional letdown because crispy crust is possibly a love language. * I'm normally anti-fish taco, but a friend loved them. I tried a bite and will admit... flaky, fresh, and not oily at all. Respect where respect is due. Overall:Comfortable local hangout energy, friendly service, interesting menu, but the nighttime invisibility cloak on the building nearly had me questioning my GPS and my eyesight and whether I had accidentally entered a secret speakeasy that requires password authentication. Would go back -- now that I know I'm looking for Guinness signs like they're ancient runes safely guiding me toward carbs and cocktails!

It was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. My husband and daughter both ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with fries, which they loved since they enjoy spicy food. We kept dessert simple with crème brûlée with berries, which was the perfect sweet ending. The ambiance was romantic, with dim lighting and a relaxed vibe that wasn't too noisy. We made reservations for 4 PM, and the crowd started picking up right before we left. Our server was attentive and accommodating throughout the entire meal. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great food, atmosphere, and service. Very highly recommend, especially for a special occasion!

Also, in the nice weather sitting outside offers a more quiet experience. Pizza is amazing but honestly the il corvo salad has a hold on me and I must order it. Add salmon and I am in heaven. They have a great selection of wine, beer and a full bar so there is something for everyone. We bring friends from out of town, go with coworkers and have date night here- it's legit.

Don't get me wrong, our waitress was polite, but every time we mentioned something, there just wasn't any follow-through. I had asked for extra bread and a new napkin and they never arrived. When my boyfriend asked for more water, she responded along the lines of she was about to do it, which came off like it was an inconvenience. I also wasn't offered fresh pepper and had to ask for Parmesan cheese, which made things feel a little off. I ordered the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare with clams, calamari, mussels, scallops, shrimp, and a lobster tail. The seafood itself was cooked pretty well, but the pasta was heavily overcooked, which was such a bummer because we come here at least twice a year and usually look forward to it. Afterward, I asked if the pasta was homemade and was told you have to specifically request that. I feel like that's something that should be mentioned upfront when ordering. Also, I forgot to mention they add radishes to the salad and no one asked about allergies. When I got mine, there was a big radish in it and I just had to hope I removed them all, which wasn't a great feeling. I don't know what changed, but overall this visit just felt a little disappointing compared to what we're used to.

The food: Mostly hit as we hoped! Chicken parm was great, marinara was excellent! The surprise was the bolognese on my partner's spaghetti side, which was a bit bland, expected the opposite - both were still great to be clear. Chicken Caesar salad was on point as much as a salad can be. ;) The service: This is the real issue. Only two of us, and about 5 seconds after giving my drink order (while my partner was still ordering her drink) and getting a initial look of disapproval when ordering water on the waitress's first pass (wanted to look at the drink menu), I asked to swap the liquor in my Olde Fashion to something she mentioned under her breath when I first ordered it (took me a minute to process it). The waitress said it was "too late" with her handheld because it's instantly sent to the bar. If that's true, that's a pretty bad system, efficiency be damned. We were within earshot of many other tables - our waitress didn't explain dishes or specials like we saw/heard other servers doing (left us feeling regretful with our food choices), and she tried to take my card before I even opened the bill... this is after telling us we had to wait 15 minutes for a second round of bread (haha, which showed up 35 minutes later - petty, but annoying). Things were bad enough with the waitress that we actually asked to box up our mains shortly after receiving them (ate less than 10% of either). This was our second visit (first was takeout, which was great) and our first time dining in. Being in Customer Service and having a history in the restaurant industry, on the way out (after paying and tipping, aka not looking for a discount), I hesitated walking out the door and turned to ask for a manager. The front-of-house host said he'd speak as the manager and responded to everything with a sarcastic "that's unfortunate" / "that's our standards" / "that's too bad" / and sent us on our way. Not big complainers, hate doing it, but this one stuck with us, especially with the high praise and relatively premium prices this restaurant seemingly gets online -- bad taste service-wise, great taste food-wise. Looking around, most of the customers are of an older demographic, and again, most of the waitstaff seemed awesome (especially compared to ours). Would absolutely get the food again. However, as someone that lives on the North End of Elm St, I would never dine in again if this is what they consider acceptable service... what more can we do besides speak up about our concerns, after settling the tab... being told that's "normal" is gross in my opinion. Working in restaurants in the past, if that's their standard, then I distrust their entire approach to service.
