Pleasantly surprised by this updated Sizzler in Ontario! We were hesitant to go since our last visit to a different location was a solid 5/10, but this time was a whole different experience. The interior has definitely gotten a facelift--clean, modern, and nothing like the run-down vibe we remembered. It's not your grandpas sizzler anymore! The salad bar was fresh with tons of variety. At $20 on its own, it feels a bit pricey for just lettuce, but with the addition of the taco bar, soup station, and pasta bar, it ended up being a good value overall. Oh- and don't forget the desert/fruit bar. We ordered two combo meals: one with steak and all-you-can-eat shrimp, and the other with steak, Malibu chicken, and shrimp. Add two salad bars and a large beer, and the total came to about $80. Next time, we'll probably skip the second entrée, share a meal, and just add the salad bar--it's more than enough food (especially since most of ours ended up going home to our son). Staff was friendly and service was on point. 10/10--we'll definitely be back sooner rather than later! read more

Years ago, there was an old Sizzler closer to us, and Freddie was our favorite server there. We were so sad when it closed down for good. We went to the Ontario location--only place to go in our opinion. They have an updated ambiance, catering to both young and elderly customers alike. The service was great. We spoke with the manager Paulette Macedo. She was on point. I have lots of experience in the industry before becoming a teacher, and it was refreshing to see management roll their sleeves up and jump in when the servers were in the weeds. My wife and I ordered the salad bar. They have updated the salad bar, to include feta cheese which I thoroughly enjoyed. They have a great variety of salad dressings and toppings--a mini taco bar with fresh guacamole, sour cream taco meat, and taco shells. The soup menu included clam chowder, minestrone and menudo. The food was great, my wife said the menudo was pretty good and she's from the outskirts of Guadalajara so she knows what she's talking about. As usual, the cheese bread was excellent. I continually had my tea refilled, new cheese bread on the table and pleasant conversation with the waiting staff. I am so sorry I don't remember the name of our server, because she went on a break, and so I talked to Freddy most of the time. He is a great server as well. As I mentioned before. The ambience is upbeat, positive and fresh. This store has been upgraded to reflect both traditional and new styles of dining. I'm sorry to say, but don't waste your time going to the store in San Bernardino or in West Covina, because this store beats them all. We enjoyed this location. It's been a while since we had visited a Sizzler. They have not been kept up and when I saw this location my family was impressed and it didn't disappoint us.
