We visited today for lunch and the food was great as usual. Freddie was our server and he was friendly, attentive and quick!

Parking: free parking but the lot is not the biggest. Although usually no trouble finding a spot, sometimes on busy weekends you won't get a spot close to the entrance. Service: Susana served us and she was amazing! From what we observed, most of the staff were really nice and on top of it. She came by to check on us the perfect amount! Food: stars taken down not cuz of the actual food itself, but just cuz you gotta realize it's a buffet. We observed the sad habits of humanity including people licking the communal spoon/utensils for the buffet bar. Other examples include people smelling the food and then putting it back onto the buffet line. And it just reminds you that not everyone practices hygiene the same. Food wise - it's what you expect when you think "American buffet". Wish they had more pastries in their line though. Their entrees were pretty good too, definitely frozen before hand and then warmed/cooked when people ordered. But they did a nice job. My husband has been wanting to go to a salad bar and mentioned that we should go to Sizzler. Well as many of you have noticed, many Sizzler restaurants have permanently closed recently. The Sizzler that I used to frequent was the one in Pasadena. My dad would always suggest we go there for his birthday or Father's Day so there were plenty of memories there. Anyway, I was surprised to see this particular Sizzler in Ontario with so many great reviews. I noticed that it was recently remodeled. I've eaten here multiple times now and my husband and I have even brought my mom here with us. The price for just the salad bar is $18.99 per person, but it's $17.99 per person if you dine in between Monday-Friday before 4:00pm. The beverage is included for Seniors. The first time we came here, my husband and I both got a lemonade which was an additional $5.79 each, but it was refillable and had fresh fruit in them. So yes for two salad bars and 2 lemonades, the total including tax came out to $53.90 hah. so now we both just get water... LOL Anyway, it has not been very crowded coming when the first open at 11am, but by the time we are leaving it does fill up. Overall the salad bar options have been pretty good as there's plenty of fresh veggies, various soups, other hot items (spaghetti, chicken wings, mini tacos, taco bar) fresh fruit, and dessert. It's not getting a 5 stars because sometimes the soup (especially the clam chowder) is not hot enough and the taco meat is just way too salty for me. Otherwise, the salad options, fruit, and desserts are still pretty good. I'm also impressed with the service we've received. Even though you order, pay and pick your own table, the servers are very friendly, on top of everything and always bringing out the cheese toast. read more

I took the BF to Sizzler, since we both grew up eating there and longed for a taste of our childhood. Sizzler updated the interior and it felt modern, like a buffet in Vegas My BF gave a mixed review, the bread wasn't as good as he remembered it; but he enjoyed the steak and lobster and was happy with the price. I had a salad which was bland, but I did enjoy my Italian herb chicken with rice pilaf. They had many of the old favorites, but have expanded their seafood and beef options. read more

Food was great! No complaints there. The reason for such a low review was the treatment from the staff. The little older blonde lady usually serves my family and had seen us walk into the establishment and even gave us a smile. We were ignored for 10 minutes while she was at the table next to us doing absolutely nothing but blabbering. We tried our best to politely signal we hadn't been helped yet and she rolled her eyes and turned the other way. Luckily there was a nicer lady who helped us but I was just appalled at the rudeness and the fact that after we got another server, she kept giving us dirty looks. Good for close dinner. We still go to Sizzler, but not as much as in the past. Of course, the prices necessarily increased, but it seems like the quality of the beef is not as good as it once was--not as tender. The service is great. There is not a big turnover of servers, so it's nice to be remembered from one time to the next. Last time we were there, I had some really good vegetable beef soup. read more

I had lunch here for the first time in YEARS and it was honestly SOOOOO good! The garlic bread was fresh and hot and amazing. I got the steak and baked potato and salad bar and the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the potato was delicious. The salad bar was so clean with endless toppings, fresh lettuce and homemade dressings. And shout out to our server, SARA, who was so attentive and kind and honestly made the experience a 10/10. Sizzler is a chain steak house. This one is in Ontario. This was our first time here and we were very happy with the service and the food. Parking is easy and the prices are fair. This Sizzler is very clean and they do their best to keep the salad bar clean and stocked. It is pretty large and very cute. It is not fancy, just comfortable. The service is wonderful. You walk in and there is a large menu. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. They have a full salad bar and for that you are buffet style and they give you a plate and will collect a used plate and bring you another if you need. They also have food items in the salad bar area as well as an ice cream section with soft serve ice cream and lots of toppings. They sometimes also have Jello of various flavors. They also have at least one soup offering. The service is fast and very nice. They bring your food when ready along with great garlic toast bread depending on what you have ordered. They have a large selection of steak types, they have fish and shell fish and they also have chicken. Their burgers are great, but they must learn how to not burn them. I eat rare burgers, I was very clear, it came over well done and I had to send it back. The second it came medium and that was fine although not what I wanted. They really need to work on that if they want to keep my business. If I get sick from rare meat, that is my problem and I never have. Now their steaks are not top end steaks, you are getting what you pay for, but they are quite good and for the most part are cooked the way you ask. Their fish is great, we love the lobster and shrimp. We have never tried their chicken so I have no opinion. They have a nice selection of drinks and they also have beer and I think wine. I did not partake. I had a coke. The salad bar is pretty good, but they could add some different greens. As to the food at the salad bar it is fine, not great. They used to have a larger selection but this time it was mostly pasta and taco makings. Their soft serve ice cream is great. This is not fine dinning, it is mid range pricing so don't expect that for which you are not paying. For what it is, it is very good and you will like it. Have fun. This is a good Sizzler. read more

Sizzler is one of those American chain restaurants that just really screams "HISTORY". From making their start in the mid-to-late 1900s, this brand has seen both the highs and lows during their time of operation. As of late, Sizzler locations around California have been dwindling due their inability to keep up with the current times. But for some reason, a select few have managed to hang on to what made them so great in the previous few decades. One of these locations is in the heart of Ontario, leading me to stop by on a Sunday evening with curiosity. Coming to Sizzlers as a kid, I wanted to see for myself how they've held up. I dropped into the restaurant around 7:30PM to no line and about a half a full dining room. Taking a look at the menu lining the wall, there were many options from their classic Malibu Chicken to Steak and Lobster combos. But of any items to order, most people tend to come for their Unlimited Salad Bar which hovers around the $15 to $20 dollar price range. For this visit, I was looking to experience one of their higher tier offerings and proceeded to order a 12oz New York Steak which was about $34 dollars at the time of this review. I was able to select the wellness of the meat and one side dish, to which I selected medium rare and the rice pilaf, respectively. One key difference with this Sizzler location is that they've upkept the interior of the restaurant to match the current times. With blue overhead lighting and cream-colored accents, it felt like the combination of a GEN Korean Barbecue and a BJ's Brewhouse. The entire restaurant was very well maintained and people eating in seemed to be having a good time. This location is definitely an example of how nostalgia meets the future. From the moment I ordered to the time I received my food took about 10-15 minutes of time. But because a server came by to confirm my order and drop a basket of cheese toast, it didn't feel as long as it could have. Taking a look at the New York Steak for the first, time it was exactly as you would expect. One piece of glistening meat, adorned with black char marks, and seasoned with salt and pepper. Just know that if you have a larger appetite, you might be better off with the salad bar instead. The piece of meat was thick and filling, but you would ideally know how large 12oz is: not much. For 34 dollars in the Ontario area, this dish is definitely on the more pricey side and would definitely lower the price to portion ratio by a margin. But all-the-while, you knew this coming into the restaurant. In terms of the taste of the steak, there isn't much to write home about. But if you're looking for a steak craving, Sizzler does a pretty good job. For starters, the steak is not evenly cooked which gave a spectrum of flavor and moisture levels. While the tips of the steak were closer to well done, the middle had the more medium rare portion. I personally liked the center as it was more juicy than the outside. But on the other end, the crisp ends of the steak also gave some substance to the meat. Of anything, I enjoyed the fact that the piece of New York Steak was easily cuttable with the knife I was given. In terms of areas of growth, I would have liked to have more flavor with my steak. Although there was plenty of visible pepper on the meat, the beef was mostly flavorless. I had to pile on the salt, pepper, and A1 sauce to make flavors for myself. this was a big factor that made me scratch my head. On top of this. the rice pilaf helped provide a savory baseline to the steak. But with that, I had to add seasoning to the rice as well which negated the complementary palette. From the taste perspective, the food was okay. Sizzler is back in full effect. And to that point, it is still a favorite among both older generations and newer folks alike. I would be happy ordering the New York Steak again, but there are many other items on the menu that have a better price-to-portion ratio. The flavor of the steak wasn't bad by any marks. But keep in mind that it isn't going to be the star dazzler at any occasion. The steak itself would earn a 3 star rating from my eyes. But with the addition of the rich ambiance, Sizzler in Ontario deserves a borderline 4 star rating. Nice ambiance, good food, but there are other items to try. read more

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by Rachel. She was really pleasant. She came out from behind the cash trap and brought us up to the register so that we could begin our order. This is our third time dining at this particular location and I must say we were blessed to have Susana as our server again. Last time we were here, she was so attentive, so personable and really on top of everything. I have to say she's not only extremely kind but really professional and all around, she's a consistent server. She's a wonderful person and makes the guests at this location feel like family. I was also paying attention to the others s around our section that she was serving and they just seemed so delighted with her positivity and presence. In terms of the food, I feel like the quality at Sizzler has stepped it up. The salad bar was on the point. The steak was cooked just right and the shrimp was excellent. Cleanliness: There always someone around the salad bar keeping the area very clean. The selection in terms of kids menu items is pretty good too.
