We came yesterday at 4:30pm. No one was in line fortunately. Place was quite occupied. Cashier was friendly though. We did have a dirty glass cup. We did have to find our own seating which was : 2 corner booths to accommodate a party of 5 adults, 3 kids and a baby with a high chair. It made our dinner somewhat awkward. Not gonna name anyone even though the server would give us a card normally to review them on Yelp and google. Should we have tipped them first? Tri tip sirloin was tough according to my husband and my mom. Regardless, this is the last restaurant we ate with my pops as a whole family before he passed. Cheese toast was good as usual but menudo was salty. And clam chowder was lackluster . So I'm pretty bummed. read more

Growing up in the Midwest, places like Sizzler were a treat because who didn't like an all you can eat buffet concept as a kid? Nowadays, the concept isn't as ubiquitous because inflation and generational preferences have taken a toll. There used to be a Sizzler closer to my house before it closed so this Mountain View location in the Imperial Marketplace was the nearest branch. The parking lot was vast because of the nearby home improvement store that was the anchor tenant. I had not stepped inside one of these "family steakhouses" in decades. The layouts were all pretty similar with menu screens and a service counter with multiple registers set up after you walked through a corridor from the entranceway. After ordering and getting a receipt, you picked any open table for seating, of which there were dozens because the capacity was sufficient for well over 100 diners. A server would then come by and take the receipt to the kitchen for a cook to prepare the entree(s). In the meantime, you could help yourself to the buffet stations where soups, salads, sides, fried fare, and ice cream were available. It's not the highest quality food but for an AYCE model, there were plenty of choices for all kinds of palates. I filled a few plates with various items and saved room for soft serve ice cream as dessert. My main dish was an eight-ounce serving of Tri Tip Sirloin. It came with a choice of one side which was mashed potatoes in my case. I had finished about half of the items I picked from the buffet before the steak, potatoes, and complimentary cheese toast were delivered to my table. The meat was cooked more medium than my preference of medium rare. The sirloin was seasoned with quite a bit of black pepper as I could taste the bitterness. The spuds and toast were ordinary as expected. The brownies at the ice cream station were a bonus as the dense chocolate cake was a nice texture and flavor contrast to the vanilla soft serve. I can't consume as much as I could half a lifetime ago so I probably didn't get my money's worth which in this case was over $35. This trip to Sizzler was more about nostalgia and comfort grub versus gourmet dining. I gave a rating between three and four stars for the dining experience. read more

I have never had a bad experience at this location! Everyone is always so welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. We usually order the medium-rare sirloin steak, and the meat is always incredibly tender -- you really can't beat the special. Our waitress, Jeaneene, is always so sweet and accommodating. Here's a Christmas story Years ago, Christmas was about to get canceled flight delay etc. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. The only place open was Sizzler and we all went and we all had the best time so every year at Christmas are thereabouts we go to Sizzler good people on both sides of the menu. Everybody orders, two burgers minimum cut one of the burgers in half and you share it with someone else and we laugh we talk we share we inspire and we get ready for the next year . Today , Sept. 8, is my third time this week to dine at my favorite Sizzler in Imperial Ave. Most times , I would dine during early lunch hours and once in a while during late afternoons or early evenings . During the latter hours - the very gracious Carlos is on duty and he's always very happy to greet you with a very warm welcome and a big smile . He's very consistent with his excellent service skills and constantly making sure that everything is alright . Hopping from table to table on a busy night is no big feat but Carlos makes it so easy and pleasant to the delight of every customer he serves ! Steak. Seafood. Salad. Surprising? Nostalgia factor off the charts. I loved everything about my Sizzler experience. I hadn't been to Sizzler in probably 15 to 20 years, yet that salad bar was exactly like I remembered it. Delicious. The ambiance was much brighter than I remember, though. In my mind, Sizzler was dark and pin-cushioned- leather-y (at least, I think I'm remembering Sizzler.) and the service was amazing, too... I didn't go here thinking I was getting a Michelin-starred meal, which was the right mentality. But the salmon, which I was courageous enough to order was...really good! I was sad to see no meatballs in the taco-bar area (a wonderful memory from years ago that was not satiated)...and I did have some gastrointestinal distress the next morning, but I don't care. I became a member of the Sizzler club. Got myself a free salad in the future. And the opportunity to relive a little piece of my childhood. Love. Had lunch at the sizzler today. I ordered the "Prime Rib Burger." It came out hot and cooked to perfection. My husband had "Steak & Unlimited Shrimp." Jeaneen, our very nice server was attentive to details. I ordered a side of vegetable medley with my burger and the veggies were so fresh. Jeaneen provided melted butter to go on the veggies and that kicked the flavor up a notch. My husband gave his meal a thumbs up . Thank you Jeaneen for being so pleasant and attentive. I hadn't been here in years but remembered they had an AYCE salad bar option so came by a few weeks ago. Ended up ordering the salad bar + an entree (steak and chicken) which ended up being waaay too much food so I was full afterwards. Great price for everything though, and the staff were all so helpful and attentive. Salad bar was delicious and had so many more options, from soups to a taco bar to a few other things. My family has been coming here for years. The food is always great! Love the clam chowder and steak with unlimited shrimp. Great variety in the salad bar too. OMG! I've not dined at a Sizzler in over 30 years. It's due to moving to Miami Beach, Florida, and there are no Sizzlers in Florida. Sadly, they all closed down. Anyway, I was able to dine at this Sizzler location while I was in town for San Diego Comic Con. The manager and my waitress were wonderful. Unfortunately, I got there 15 minutes before closing due to SDCC, local traffic and distance from SDCC. It was worth it to go to Sizzler after 30 years. Plus thank you to the manager for being friendly and kind to me for getting there that late. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a steak and baked potato with salad bar plus their cheese bread. All of it was yummy yummy to the tummy. To my surprise, there were other SDCC attendees at this Sizzler location. The place is clean and well-maintained. The salad bar was wonderful. Came here on Martin Luther King holiday for lunch w/ a group of 7 and were served by Martha. We LOVE this Sizzler's location! It's kept VERY clean, their salad bar is kept tidy and stocked often, prices are reasonable, and the servers are always attentive, helpful, and check on their tables frequently. Today, the dining room had a very large group of 20+ people in addition to our party of 7 and Martha and the others handled the guests with great care and ease. We want to applaud all the cashiers, servers, busers, and management who strive to keep this location clean and presentable at all times. I'm just now getting around to writing a review from our visit at the beginning of May. First time at a Sizzler in over 20 years, and it did not disappoint! We went for lunch on a Saturday and there were 5 of us. It wasn't too busy, the place was very clean. I ordered the salad bar and a Cherry Limade. Cherry Limade comes with refills and you can try the other flavors of lemonade. The salad bar has so many options and the soft serve for dessert is a nice way to end the meal. Some of the other people in my party ordered food and they liked it except the Malibu Chicken looked questionable and they didn't eat that part of their meal. Our server, Chante, was so friendly and attentive. The cashiers at the front were friendly too. I definitely recommend trying this location out and if you are lucky enough to have Chante as your server you will have a great time. read more

The prices were a little higher than I recall, but the food was good so it was worth it. The parking lot was busy but we had no trouble getting there and it was fairly accessible for our crowd. I love this Sizzler. We used to have one near our house, but that location closed down during COVID. Luckily this location survived, and is so much better because of its renovations from last year.
