Don't go here..... You'll get hooked. I ate 5 fish tacos and a marlin taco. I wanted to order more, but I couldn't. I wanted to just wait in the shade until I got hungry again, then order another 5. Hot, fresh... LIGHTLY battered... The pickled red onion slaw topping just sets it all off in a very particular kind of way. My son and I ordered 8 fish and 1 marlin... I wanted to come back the next day and do it again. It was the kind of experience where you want to go as much as possible before it gets too popular and they have to raise their prices. Three bucks American for a fish taco that beats pretty much every other spot I've been to that's charging five bucks and some change. Doña taking orders was made me feel welcomed and appreciated. We came during brunch hours and it was empty, which was nice. I'm sure it gets busy during lunch. Got the aguachile mango, fish tacos, and spicy shrimp tacos. My favorite were the fish tacos and the shrimp. Everything was fresh and made to order. The spicy shrimp had a crisp taco shell, and was really spicy. I definitely want to try the garlic shrimp taco next time. I loved the freshness and acidity of the aguachile. Perfect for the summer weather. Definitely worth checking out. Arturo's good food from his truck are fresh and flavorful with friendly service! If you want to support a mom and pop type mexican food shop this is it. Complete with glass bottles of coca cola. The fried fish tacos were tender with a really succulent flake. Good deal for $3 each. The Mar y Tierra or shrimp and beef taco at $7 per taco were filling and the bite with tasty juices flowing was satisfying. Each came with is own half a lime. Still make above average fish tacos that are holding steady at 3.50. I usually get a couple of these along with a shrimp ceviche tostada, which hits the spot. It's still a good value with good service, however I have noticed that the inside of the fish in the fish tacos seems to be soggier than preferred. Also, they have taken the containers and bags away for the hot sauce and hand them out sparingly, which is never a good thing to me. I asked for pickled onions, and the lady told me" they come on the taco". ummm ok, but you and other mariscos trucks usually have them out seperately? I'm obsessed with this place. Over the last month I have been there six times, twice this week! Hands down, the best fish tacos I've ever had. Perfectly battered and fried fish- crispy, and not at all greasy, fresh, crunchy cabbage, just the right amount of crema and pickled onions on top. Add a squeeze of lime and a dash of hot sauce and that's all you need. Who knew a humble food truck parked in a deserted parking lot would be dishing out the best seafood tacos (and an extensive list of other Mexican seafood dishes, e.g. ceviche, coctels, tostadas, etc.) I've enjoyed in recent memory. We ordered three seafood tacos (2 x fried fish, 1 x grilled shrimp) and some kind of surf and turf burrito. There's this interesting, semi-makeshift dining patio next to the truck so we did not hesitate to eat as soon as we received our orders. The tacos were enormous--I was stuffed after one and a half. The seafood was cooked and seasoned so well and the rest of the ingredients (pickled onion, cabbage, pico, avocado) were fresh and generously portioned. The burrito was customizable and I believe my partner chose adobada for the turf component and shrimp for the surf. I was skeptical about this combination, but it worked. The flavors and textures I experienced during this unassuming lunch session sent me to heaven. Needless to say...I found god in that parking lot. I thought Kiko's was the holy grail of seafood tacos but I think I have discovered the new supreme. read more
