Calamari, over seasoned and fried too long! Possibly needs fresh oil!

OVER FRIED! Our first time eating here. The restaurant is clean, nice wait staff. The Crab Boil is $$$ I'm from the Mississippi Gulf Coast where Crab Boil's are common!!! Our food was over fried - possibly a grease issue, a burnt taste! We were told everything has Cajon seasoning which is okay; we brought the majority of our food home - a bit disappointed!

This it the best location for a great night out with your family or even by yourself. They serve anything from cajon chicken wings to lobster tails. Their clams are superb too. They also have fantastic customer service. I can never have any better place to eat than this. I would recommend this to any SD local!!!

I have been to other locations and this one is always consistent! We got medium spicy with king crab and shrimp to go. Medium spicy does have a good kick to it that will have your nose running. They even gave us the table paper for us to use at home and all the fixings (lemon, salt and pepper and butter). It was just as good as home as it is to experience in the store!

After the destruction of our order

This food was phenomenal and the workers were very fast with our orders!! Never once have I felt the love within these beautiful seafood creatures that gave their lives to fill our stomachs. I truly think that this place is a once in a lifetime experience, that you can experience every single time you come here. The oysters spoke to my soul!

Crab, crawfish, shrimp, oysters, and friends

Lowkey might be the best seafood boil spot of all time. Servers were hella nice and attentive, we got shrimp, crawfish, crab, clams, everything tasted amazing, oysters were fresh as can be. Perfect spot for date night or just a calm spot to go with friends

Food amazing. Service amazing. Everything from when I walked into the door and when I left was one of the best experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. This is a must have experience you need to have with your friends or family at least once in your life.

I'm so excited to eat seafood, perfect because my family loves it too! We tried Combo #5, which includes king crab leg, snow crabs, crawfish, shrimp, clams, and mussels. Of course, it also comes with corn, sausage, and potatoes. We chose the garlic seasoning, but we set it aside since my sister is pregnant, easy to manage! We also got rice and some drinks. The place was nice, the server was friendly, and answered all our questions. So happy we had a great dinner.

The damage for four. Definitely worth it.

I have been coming here on and off for years and was suprised that I have not reviewed it before. Ample parking lot in a business plaza. I came here last month with BB and our neighbors for our bimonthly get together. We ordered a combo with snow crab and shrimp, and our neighbors ordered a combo with crawfish and shrimp. Additionally, we ordered a half dozen oysters on the half shell along with cheese curds as an appetizer. The oysters were fresh and meaty. The cheese curds tasted like cheese sticks, pleasant but not outstanding. They really give you a lot of shrimp which I appreciate. The snow crab was ok but the legs are very skinny and it's a pain to eat (Not the business's fault, but just telling my experience) Will skip that next time. The sauce is always on point, we go with the pub style (mixture of lemon pepper, garlic butter, and old bay). When I go alone, I get the hottest, but when I am with BB, I get mild so she doesn't pass out. Overall a pretty good experience and would recommend to others, as well as be glad to return.

The flavor was good, but not the best! But I would come here again because the prices here better than other seafood boil joints! You get a lot of food.the theme was pretty common, nautical. The service was pretty fast I would say! I would recommend

Shrimp made extra spicy instead of mild as ordered in receipt
    Sara O.

I'm really upset with how Lee handled the food mix up. We placed an online order for 2 sausage bags (different spice levels) and shrimp. One of the sausage bags was extra spicy while the rest of the order was mild. My husband offered to pick up the order as I was home with the kids. After my husband arrived home, we noticed that the shrimp bag was made extra spicy and the sausages were mild and in separate bags. I immediately called crab pub and offered to send them pictures or face time of the situation. They ask either my husband or I drive back for them to remake the order and that they would not be able to do anything else otherwise. I thought this was very unsympathetic as my kids were in the background and to add more stress to our day was uncalled for. We haven't visited crab pub in years and I want to support a local business, but it's hard to do so when the staff is not understanding and hard to deal with

Took my dad to Crab Pub for his first time, and he absolutely loved it! He's super picky, but the clam chowder won him over it was perfectly done. I always get a pound of shrimp with sausage and corn, plus a side of rice, Pubstyle with Medium spice. I shared that with my dad, and he really enjoyed it too! The ambiance is super casual, which I love. It can be a bit loud, but that's part of the vibe, especially with sports always playing on the TVs. The service was fantastic as always: quick, efficient, and teamwork focused, with multiple waitresses helping out to ensure everything ran smoothly. I've never had a bad experience here, it's always quick, easy, and consistently great. Highly recommend!

Staff was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we arrived in a Saturday night. Food came quickly. The crab boil was great. I enjoyed it. My husband got the friend shrimp basket and clam chowder. He did say the chowder was a little runny.

This place was incredible. The second we walked in we were seated. They did sit us next to the bathroom at first but we asked to be moved and they had no issue. (This was also a busy Saturday) Our waitress PAULA was very helpful from the beginning. She knew the entire menu and helped us order exactly what we had in mind. My wife didn't know what alcohol she wanted to drink so our waitress actually brought her 3 samples to try. The food did take a while but like I said it was busy so that was expected. It was worth the wait! The food was incredible.

Eddie, our server was friendly, with just the right amount of humor and very attentive. He described dishes and offered a hot sauce that was HOT! The Shrimp Bourbon Street was tasty, lots 'o shrimp, yummy dipping sauce, a perfect combo with Seafood Gumbo, to finish off my meal. The Seafood Bisque-appetizer and the Shrimp and Grits meal seemed to satisfy my husband. Our friends ordered Crawfish Etouffee and the Cajun Jambalaya, which were a hit. We commented that there might be some take-home, but it was not to be, the food was consumed on the premises. Our finishing touch of Beignets covered in the powdered sugar and coulis sauce was the perfect finale to our very enjoyable meal. We ate in the dining room, which was busy, but not noisy, and as mentioned , the service was excellent (Eddie) , and patio seating is available. Parking is convenient, so there is every reason to visit Bud's as soon as possible. See ya soon!

Our server was very attentive, which was especially nice since we were among the first customers there. A few things to note: there is a 90-minute dining limit, and everyone at the table shares the same seafood bag, so your group will need to agree on one sauce flavor per round. We only made it through two rounds, but everything we ordered was delicious. The fries were crispy, and the mussels, shrimp, and clams were all meaty. The sauce was flavorful and complemented the seafood well. We finished the meal with the fried Oreo and ice cream, which was the perfect sweet ending. We'd definitely come back again for the AYCE experience!

Half of the shrimp and crawfish we had were dead, so the taste and texture wasn't there. The clams and mussels were very sandy. The sauce was good but medium spice didn't have any kick at all but the next flavor was "atomic" which is very intimidating (I regret not trying the next level up though). Plus the service was slow and parking is terrible. My favorite items were the lemon pepper wings, quail eggs, and Cajun fries though lol

I placed my order through the ChowNow platform and arrived to pick it up, only to find out that the restaurant staff was completely unaware the order had been received. Because the order was never sent to the kitchen, I had to wait additional time while it was prepared. The bigger issue was the food itself. I ordered Combo 3, which states it includes 1 lb of clams, but there were very few clams in the bag--certainly nowhere near what I expected. In addition, there were no sausages at all and only 1-2 small potatoes included. Mistakes happen, but between the ordering issue and the missing ingredients, the meal did not match what was advertised. I hope the restaurant improves both its order management process and quality control.

The best seafood boil in all of San Diego in my opinion, and I've tried many places (yes, including…read moreCrab Hut). The main reasons why this is my top spot are: -Seafood Quality - the clams here are BIG and don't fall out of the shell, and the shrimp is always perfectly cooked and not mealy. The crab clusters are big and juicy as well. -Sauce - I always get the Torpedo Sauce (the house mix-of-all-of-them sauce) but instead of just tasting like garlic, lemon, old bay, "the sum is equal to more than the parts". In other words, the flavors meld together and are magical. I have heard some say that the sauce here leans sweet, and it definitely does have sugar, but I find it balanced. Also, it is mostly emulsified and does not have a thick layer of pure oil that runs off the seafood like some places' sauces. -Other Factors: they used to have a free fries deal for posting on social media (gone as of Feb '26 though), but they still have $1 oysters on some days, I like their fruit tea pitchers which are great for large parties, and they also give free Vietnamese chè for dessert! I rank this higher than Crab Hut because a) it's cheaper, Crab Hut is expensive even for seafood boil, and b) I prefer the sauce here. But Crab Hut is also S tier in San Diego so you can't go wrong with either.

We came on a weeknight in January and easily found parking out front. The restaurant is more of a bungalow, and it's quiet and really pretty on the outside. You seat yourself if there's a table. A server comes in and out of the room to serve the tables. The Mac and cheese was meh, we ordered it for a toddler. The crawfish étouffée was so good, they did not skimp on crawfish. I like it a little spicier, but this was what I needed. I would definitely come back here! If it's a cold night, dress accordingly, this bungalow is not insulated and the server comes in and out, so it was freezing. Can't imagine the heat in summer, but the food is worth it.

The Cajun fries held their own too. Prices are fair, actually a bit cheaper than comparable spots in SD, and the space itself is large, clean, and nice inside. We were seated quickly with no wait. That said, a few things brought the experience down. The staffing was clearly not enough for the volume of guests -- as the night picked up, service noticeably slowed, and it felt like the waiters were stretched thin through no fault of their own. That's a management issue. The sausage portion options are oddly limited too -- only a half pound or full pound, nothing in between, which feels unnecessarily restrictive. Biggest miss: the calamari.
