Kimberly was a great hostess and everyone was so kind to our group of 100+ people! We had a high school reunion luncheon at this Sizzler and the staff was nothing short of amazing! Kimberly was prompt, quick and served us with a smile. I think Dan was also working in our section and he also did wonderfully. The prices were a little higher than I recall, but the food was good so it was worth it. The parking lot was busy but we had no trouble getting there and it was fairly accessible for our crowd. We didn't have to wait too long for our food, we were playing games while waiting so the time went quickly. It was great for an older crowd and dependable. All in all, it was a great place to host a large gathering and the service was top notch. read more

I'm just now getting around to writing a review from our visit at the beginning of May. First time at a Sizzler in over 20 years, and it did not disappoint! We went for lunch on a Saturday and there were 5 of us. It wasn't too busy, the place was very clean. I ordered the salad bar and a Cherry Limade. Cherry Limade comes with refills and you can try the other flavors of lemonade. The salad bar has so many options and the soft serve for dessert is a nice way to end the meal. Some of the other people in my party ordered food and they liked it except the Malibu Chicken looked questionable and they didn't eat that part of their meal. Our server, Chante, was so friendly and attentive. The cashiers at the front were friendly too. I definitely recommend trying this location out and if you are lucky enough to have Chante as your server you will have a great time. read more

I love this Sizzler. We used to have one near our house, but that location closed down during COVID. Luckily this location survived, and is so much better because of its renovations from last year. We had exceptional service by Chante, always making sure we got what we needed. The salad bar was very inviting. It was super-clean, and all items were very fresh. The steak had a perfect grill flavor, and just the right doneness. We could tell that lots of celebrations were happening, as evidenced by the presence of numerous large parties. Sizzlers have been around for a long time, unfortunately most of their locations have closed over the years. However, this one on imperial avenue near the 805 freeway is thriving. Recently remodeled, beautiful clean well stocked salad bar, very tasty food that has remained consistent over the years. Sizzler has always been a great reliable restaurant for a great salad bar with a variety of salads, fruits, along with a kids salad bar. The clam chowder is good. I typically get the steak and lobster. My husband gets the all you can eat shrimp. And my son loves the lobster, salad bar, and ice cream sundae with fun toppings. Went to Sizzler on a Monday night per my dad's request. He wanted to celebrate his 81st birthday with a salad bar, steak, and their infamous cheese toast! I haven't gone to Sizzler in decades but was very impressed by their service and their food was still on point! The staff was very friendly and accommodating in making sure we had an enjoyable experience. Carlos, our server was amazing and even got some of the other servers to come over and sing "Happy Birthday" for my dad. Thank you for making his birthday a memorable one. Almost 5 stars?! For a Sizzler?! I mean, I'm not surprised but I also am. You almost never see chains with a rating this high but as you can see from this update and my previous reviews, I'm a fan. They had a glow up here and to be honest, I don't think they needed it. They have always had a well-stocked salad bar that does seem a bit pricey if you're only getting salad at about $20.00. The good news is that it ain't just salad on this bar. They have tacos, they have chicken wings, they have soup, they have dessert items, they have fresh fruit, they have soft-serve, and all of these things speak to my soft heart. Sure, I hold some nostalgia when it comes to Sizzler as I would go with my mom and dad when I was a kid, but it's safe to say that this location goes beyond nostalgia. I ordered the All You Can Eat Salad Bar at the Sizzler Restaurant. This was my first time ordering their All You Can Rat Salad Bar. The price I was charged was $10.00. I love eating healthier foods especially Salads. I received excellent customer service from my server this blonde haired woman. I placed my order with Anthony at the front cash register. This Salad Bar is HUGE! I saw this Sizzler Salad Bar includes: a great variety of different Pasta Salads, Green Salads, Crunchy Ground Beef Tacos, Taquitos, Baked Potato Wedges, three different kinds of Soups like Vegetable Beef, Chicken Noodle, and Clam Chowder. And their delicious desserts were Sliced Pound Cake, Strawberry Preserves, Whipped Cream, Chocolate Pudding, Banana Pudding with sliced bananas, Cherry and Strawberry Jello, Watermelon in thick pieces and huge red sweet Strawberries. Carlos was a great server. He attended us to our every need. We really enjoyed the managers and everyone's hospitality. Love coming here.

We arrived here around 6pm for Sunday dinner and to celebrate two birthdays. The restaurant was very busy. We were worried they wouldn't be able to accommodate our large party. The manager was very kind and quickly found us seating for 17 people. It's been a while since we've been to this location. We were surprised to see they have done some renovations. They now have a self-serve beverage station for fountain drinks which we found to be very convenient. I had the ribeye steak and rice pilaf. My steak was cooked perfectly! Other guests in our party had the Triple-Licious with Shrimp, Steak & Unlimited Crispy Shrimp, Double Malibu Chicken, and the Crispy Bacon Burger. All were happy campers. I do recommend upgrading your steak to the 8oz if you're ordering one of the Steak Combos which is what most of our party did. If not, do expect a small portion. I noticed the salad bar and hot food station was continuously replenished throughout the evening. Even though they were out of chocolate soft serve at the dessert station, the vanilla soft serve with various toppings and the baked brownies were sufficient enough for us. The cashier was nice and very helpful. He answered all of our questions. Our server, Carlos, was very pleasant and attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed to have an enjoyable time. I didn't catch the female servers name but she checked on us several times during the evening as well. They all did a wonderful job! "Can I have a try at it? All-can-eat-BBQ rib night at the Sizzler?" I believe San Diego county only has two Sizzler locations remaining. With that being said, I do not see this location closing its doors anytime soon. This Sizzler is nicely located off the 805 Freeway, so it feels like you are driving to THE Central county area, more or less. Parking area is fine, no complaints about the size or amount of spaces. So, I just can't get enough of their Cheeseburger dinner meals! The beef is juicy and delicious, the hamburger buns are legit and whichever side you choose for, is going to be a can't miss! I usually order a second side, rice pilaf to go with some French Fries. The cheeseburger also pairs well with a Heineken beer, if the location serves alcohol. It's a bargain deal for dinner or lunch, in my opinion. My last visit was in December and although I did not take a photo, I ordered the 6 oz. steak and jumbo crispy shrimp dinner, and it was definitely satisfying! The steak was cooked just the way I requested, the shrimp was nice and fried up, too! Wooooo-weeee However, my family and received the most excellent, polite and vibrant customer service from Martha! She brought the table any condiments we had requested, would check in to ask about the meal and she brought coffee after dinner upon request! Kudos and accolades to Martha for her exquisite personality and for representing an old-fashion American-gem of a restaurant with a most fantastic attitude. I'll come back soon for some of those St. Louis BBQ ribs! Lastly, my photographs are from August 2024, before the restaurant went through a remodeling. I've been to a few Sizzlers around SD growing up (when we did actually have a few) and this is the nicest one to exist so far. Most clean and most modern looking. Food is solid for buffet quality. The $20 salad bar option is usually enough for my family and I. Enjoyed the salads, clam chowder, taquitos, chicken wings, and soft serve dessert. Quality may not be the best in the world, but it does the job, for a bang for your buck. Martha offered the friendliest service on our recent visit on Father's Day. Always had a smile on her face and checked up periodically. Pretty big establishment; seats a lot. Busy! read more

I was surprised to learn a Sizzler still exists in San Diego and have visited this location three times now. My impression is prices are on the high side, the "sides" portions are small but the steaks have been good. At $19.99 the salad bar, while very substantial, is overpriced. Being able to refill drinks is a plus as is the dessert station. I enjoy watching Padres baseball on their TV's and all of the employees have been friendly with Carlos being at the top of the list. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience. The cashier, Eileen, was rude and unprofessional. When I asked what side options were available, instead of simply telling me, she slammed the menu down on the counter and told me to read it myself. I found her attitude disrespectful and completely unnecessary. Customer service should be friendly and helpful, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I hope management addresses this behavior so other customers are treated with more respect.
