I decided to come to Jamul casino on NYE. Emerald happened to be one of the few dining options we opted to try. I would say they didn't disappoint. The portions are flavorful and generously large, all priced modestly. The thai style fried rice was delicious with the seafood crab meat and shrimp. I think it has a unique taste compared to other fried rice dishes. The orange chicken was crunchy, with succulent juices. The duck noodle soup was decent in flavor. Finally, we gobbled up the Szechuan eggplant quite rapidly. That must have been our fave. In the end of the meal, we had a lot of leftovers. So we decided to eat the duck noodle soup clean, since it's difficult to pack that home. Again, unexpectedly large portions for a modest price.

First time this restaurant is inside of Jamul casino. Very clean and friendly staff. Food was very tasty I got chicken with veggies grilled and it coming with white rice . The menu is extensive like 3-4 pages. I recommend this restaurant ahh they have to go outside. Good job! Carlos was my server very friendly!

Aside from the amazing food ( must try to the banh Mi) what makes this place so desirable is the customer service . For years Leonila has waited on us , always smiling , her customer service is top notch!!!! She remembers repeat customers and if she doesn't know you she will sure strike up a conversation and make you remember her ! Her smile is infectious ! 5 Stars all Day !!!

We have tried almost every item on this menu and keep coming back to the bbq fried rice. Every time we have food credits, we use it all up on bbq fried rice. It is the best fried rice out there. Yes, fried rice is super easy to make but their version is so addictive. The rice that they use is short grain rice and it's dry not wet which makes it the perfect fried rice. The seasoning has a bit of sweetness and tons of bbq pork. You can place your order on the touch screen kiosk or walk up to the window to place your order. There's also 8 milk tea flavors.

The food is amazing at Emerald Chinese. It is fairly new here and we are happy to have a new Chinese restaurant nearby. The service was cheerful. The ambience was very, very beautiful.

Food is great! Service can use a lot of help.. The ambiance is nice, loud but then again, it's located inside Jamul Casino. Nothing much more to say besides the salt & pepper mussels & calamari are yummy.

When in Jamul Casino, this is a great place for your Asian food fix. You can dine in or take your food to go. The food is decently priced. If you are a casino player you can get a discount. Portions are decent and the quality is also decent. Since this is a casino, the ambiance is always a bit noisy or loud. If you're not in the mood to sit down, they can take your orders outside a kiosk stand to the right of the outside. They serve boba and Vietnamese coffee here if you decide you want something sweet. My recommendations: Angus pepper beef Salt and pepper squid Vegetables

The buffet is located downstairs in the hotel lobby area, and from the moment we walked in, everything felt clean, elegant, and well organized. I also appreciated that it was adults only, which created a more relaxed atmosphere. The seafood selection was incredible. They had king crab, Dungeness crab, snow crab, steamed lobster tails, and Puerto Nuevo-style lobster tails. There was also prime rib, large shrimp, fish, oysters, clams, and more. What impressed me most was that everything was fresh, well stocked, and impeccably maintained. There were no restrictions on seafood and no special "crab night" or "lobster night"--it was all available during our visit. For seafood lovers, this place is heaven. Even if seafood isn't your thing, there are plenty of other options. During our Monday visit, they had chicken dishes and Filipino favorites like pork lumpia and pancit, along with a variety of other Asian-inspired offerings. The salad selection was excellent as well. The dessert station was simple but very well done. Highlights included chocolate-covered strawberries, macarons, carrot cake, tiramisu, and my personal favorite--the small chocolate-filled donuts. A special shoutout to our server, Panya, who provided outstanding service. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, this was an amazing dining experience. The quality, freshness, variety, and service were all exceptional. I may have a hard time enjoying other buffets now because I'll definitely be comparing them to Jamul 33.

THE SERVICE: I called a few days ahead to make a Sunday…read morebrunch reservation for a party of four for the lobster buffet. I was told that reservations, were not necessary since it was first come, first served. Knowing how busy Sundays can get, I intentionally arrived early, around 9:30 am, only to be told by the hostess that I actually needed a reservation. After explaining that I had called ahead, to make one, she said there was nothing she could do. Instead, she directed us to the nearby counter and suggested we wait to see if seats opened up. At one point, two seats opened up together and one was available at the other side of the bar. Since we were celebrating a birthday with a party of four, we took about two minutes to decide whether it was worth splitting up while waiting for a fourth seat to open. During that time, the server rushes us and came across as extremely rude. Mind you, I already had my card in hand because you have to pay upfront. Before we have even made a decision, she took my card and charged me for two people. I told her I wasn't ready to pay because we hadn't decided yet, and the gesture left a sour taste. I ended up having her cancel the charge. Disappointed, we went back to the hostess to ask if there were any other restaurants on the property open that early. She answered our question but then offered to see if she could seat us at the buffet after all. By this point, it was around 10:15am. She asked us to wait another 30 minutes, and said we might be able to get a table. We waited. We were finally seated around 11:20 am. Luckily, the mimosas from the bar held us over. What surprised me most was seeing so many empty tables around us. There seemed to be plenty of servers working the buffet, yet several tables remained empty, which left me wondering why the way was so long. THE FOOD: I came for one reason: the lobster. It did not disappoint. They had both Baja lobster and regular lobster, along with several types of crab legs and fresh oysters. At $59, the buffet was definitely worth it. The chilaquiles were decent , although the dessert selection left much to be desired. Aside from the confusing runaround and long wait, the food was good and the buffet was cleaned and maintained. Maybe they were just having an off day. I'd be willing to give them another try and will gladly update my review if they experience is different next time.

As we entered the restaurant a man came up to us and welcomed us in! We thought maybe it was a local only type vibe, but he was actually super welcoming and kind and introduced us to everyone. lo and behold he was the owner. Super rad guy, extremely personable, and passionate. It was truly a pleasure to meet him and be introduced to some of the locals. We ended up sitting at the bar to grab a drink, Shay was our bartender not only was she beautiful, and kind but she also makes the best michelada I've had since living in San Jose. We ordered a sample platter and we headed outside for the patio to play some darts.. the sample platter was amazing. It came with elote bites (which were phenomenal), habanero, wings, onion rings, and flautas. Honestly, it is some of the best bar food I've ever had. The flautas, especially were amazing. They did not skip on presentation or aromatics. The patio had just enough shade and sunlight to be warm but comfortable. We've already decided that we're going to be making a trip back to visit Shay, we spent the better half of our time there talking about motorcycles and we really enjoyed her company. But after seeing their multiple closures from the health department, and it seems like they are always closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (and last Sunday, we drove by and saw they were closing around 6, and not at the posted time of 8), it's like why even bother. I can't look past the gamble with the food and the health violations (GROSS). Also, they don't have a good house margarita, just a cheap one. I remember coming here twice for breakfast like 3 years ago and I really liked their breakfast- especially biscuits and gravy.
