Jared was responsive, helpful, and kind - both on the phone and in person. He opened the shop early to accommodate our ski time - which was incredible - and $40 for all of the rental wear was a solid price. Easily a 10/10 - you won't go wrong here!

Further, Jared walked me through a timeline for leaving Denver, stopping by the shop to try on gear, and making it to my ski lesson on time. Throughout the process Jared was accommodating and generous with his insights. The price point was incredibly competitive - jacket, pants, goggles and gloves for $40. I believe a helmet could have been included, but the ski park included a helmet in their equipment package. I would recommend Mountain Threads without hesitation.

I've got a…read moreton of very high quality gear that has lasted me for many years but when I need something, like a recent pair of SCARPA boots, I visit Bent Gate. For many of us climbers, we used to have similar shops from yesteryear, Holubar, Frostline, Boulder Mountaineer, the 'old school' REI and the vintage Neptune Mountaineering, these shops had high quality gear that lasted the test of time and wear. Nowadays, fashion rather than function seems to be the selection at 'outdoor' shops. Ok... there's Bent Gate that still carries higher quality gear for folks who like to 'get at it'. Sure, you get what you pay for but the stuff does what it's supposed to do albeit at a price point a little higher than average. However, if you ever needed gear that will not fail, buy the better stuff for in the long run, you'll not only come out ahead but it might save your life. Bent Gate is such a company that strives for selling better gear... period!

The Selection is sparse, almost like left- overs that Stores won't take, general merch is seemingly shoddy and almost as if one is shopping for a different low quality brand. After a number of Store visits to see if the selection or quality or Service is improved I have given up. I can find the 'Good Stuff" in other stores who have what I want - not what is a seeming compromise. maybe it's the New Nike that has lost its way. No wonder their Stock price is a shambles reflecting the Management Team. They have killed the brand with indifference - their Outlet Store Model is horrible.

I placed an order in late October but soon realized the gift would not arrive on time. I immediately contacted the store and they did everything possible to make sure she would receive her gifts on time. They do have a massive wall of dog beds, if you're a furry friend enjoyer. Though, it does have redeeming qualities, of course. They do carry some Carhardt branded clothing for much cheaper than your usual stores. I also did find myself a good pair of shorts that fit, which are basically pants to a goblin like myself. Front right of the store is all camping equipment. Front left is luggage and duffle bags. They have all travel items like RFID blocking wallets, backpacks, and fanny packs. Clothing all through the center and a few electronics closer to the registers. Back section is split betterment's changing rooms, clothes for kids, toys, and pet items. I was surprised how small the clothing section was for children. Teens to youngg adults will find a lot but certainly slim pickings for young children. This pet section is insane. Walls full of dog beds. All materials and sizes. Poop bags, harnesses, leashes, treats, shampoo, EVERYTHING. Well worth stopping in just to check out the selection. Shoes line one wall and that rounds out the store. They really wanted to go big with this new location it seems. Checkout line was quick even with one register open. At peak times I'm sure they have all five registers open. Store flow and layout does a great job spacing out customers so I'm sure you won't wait long.

I wanted to get a Yeti cooler, so we went back. We needed the manager's assistance because we wanted to continue that deferred credit. I do hate paying interest on anything! During my visit, we worked with both the managers and an employee. Wife purchased new tennis shoes for the tread mill, while I ended up with my cooler and cool new Nike hoodie.
