The owner and her staff are wonderful. I'm a shopper and a consigner. As a consigner the process…read moreis easy and the staff explains everything. They also have you sign a contract that explains the process. Which is very helpful. If you are looking for great deals on quality items this is the place to go. The store is very clean and organized. If you are looking to get rid of clothes that you no longer need or want then NU2U is the place to bring your items. I can't say enough how much I like to shop and consign at this store. Now Lori and her wonderful staff have opened a home goods consignment store. Which is right next door to the fashion store. NU2U fashion and NU2U home goods the best places to shop. Hope you will stop in and see all the wonderful items these two stores have. The service, selection and the value can't be beat.

In the past year I have been both a buyer and seller to NU2U. and after today, I might be done…read moreconsigning. I read alot of great things about them written by others but unfortunately not all of them were my experience. Over the past year I have made them a respectable amount of money for them on my consignments as most items sold. You know, what I mean is I have supplied them with enough of the kind of quality items that enough buyers want and are critical to the success of their business. But it seemed that one of the employees, who I'll call Carla, was always scolding me and reminding me of their boundaries and rules as if I were still in grade school every time I dropped off items to sell. for example I have been yelled at for bringing my items on "the wrong day" or not bringing in labels or how I was annoying them in some other way. However the boundaries don't seem to cut both ways since Today they expected me to cut them slack. Let me explain- In Early May I brought items in and they did not get around to logging them in Until May 19th. At that time they sent me an email saying they unilaterally decided that 2 pairs of shoes I gave them were not good enough and therefore and they donated them- thanks for the warning. I came there pick up unsold items on June 27th. I got the shoes back, since they didn't really give them to the charity yet (not the first time I got lies from the staff, or shall we say, inconsistent explanations btw). I collected my unsold items and tried to check them out. At that time Carla warned me if I wanted to retrieve my unsold items I would have to pay them a 25 percent penalty because although it had been 53 days since I dropped the items off (May 6) it had not been 45 days since they finally got around to acknowledging by email my drop-offs-(May 19). So I will have to wait until the July 4th holiday weekend to retrieve my stuff or be docked, Oh, And don't pick up Thursday. or the weekend or Monday because we are either busy or closed. I had explained , but to no avail. When I asked her to reconsider, I talked about how I resided 50 miles away, and given the exponential rise in gas prices this year, it was becoming increasingly a no starter for me to make extra trips there for whatever. I was ignored while Carla let anybody and everybody interrupt me while she continued to work the cash register. And then another 'employee' who also identified herself as Carla's mother, interrupted us, to try to shame me publicly for complaining, telling me how ungrateful I apparently was (oh, please) and Overworked the store employees were (an excuse for the delay in getting my items listed) and that Carla got injured because she was working so hard to get all these consignments (including mine?). and I should feel bad blabla. I said not my fault not my problem ; which sent the whole room gasping. why? it was true. It was their choice! Just as mine was to live 50 miles away I suppose. maybe Carla needs to file a workers comp claim. Or they need to hire more people. but anyway, thank you for your service. NU2U seems to be very successful indeed. They also seem to enjoy marketing and engaging buyers on facebook. And, judging from other reviews, they are delivering what alot of people want at very reasonable prices for them. but who really pays for that? What is their business model? after a year of personal observation, attract sellers with high value quality consignments , sell those items for next to nothing (for the fastest buck possible?) and let the consignor have 40 percent of that nothing. (and cut corners on the workforce needed to improve efficiency?). then donate the unsold stuff that is not picked up after 50 days to their favorite charity (so they say ) but am not seeing accountability there. is anybody getting a tax write off or kudos for saving the planet. in that case..how generous of us. Oh well. I have been buying clothes to wear and reselling/donating them when I got tired of them for over 40 years. A new cycle starts again. back to the Goodwill...
