We took a couple more runs and called it a day. Personally not a place I would come by myself. Terrain is not at my difficulty, and for the same drive I could be at bigger mountains. Part of the mountain was beginner friendly, and the other part was more 'advanced.' The parking sitch wasnt too bad, easy parking in front but I recommend getting there early if possible.

It is a little gem in the Berkshires, with a nice network of well-marked, well-maintained trails, and enough topographic and scenic diversity to give a good workout in a pretty New England forest. The prices are very reasonable, and equipment is available for sale or rent. Bathroom facilities are available in the house, and the B&B dining room is a nice place to take a break between runs on a cold day or settle in for a snack and a cup of hot cocoa before going home. The proprietors, Linda and Dave, are very hospitable, as B&B hosts tend to be. Condition reports are posted on their website, and I have found them to be accurate. My son and I have been there several times, and it is one of our favorite places, well worth the trip for us to get in a fun day of skiing at a nice place with friendly, welcoming hosts.

They offer a great selection of bikes, including different wheel sizes (27.5" and 29") as well as full downhill setups, so it was easy to find something that worked for us. While a few of the rental bikes looked a little worn and could have been cleaner, they were perfectly rideable and got us out on the trails without any issues. The lift service was convenient, and the trails themselves were in good condition and well maintained. The biggest area for improvement is helping beginners. Since it was our first time, we asked the lift attendant which trail would be the easiest, but unfortunately he wasn't able to tell us. We also found that the trail map appears to be outdated, and there was only one green (beginner) trail, Lil Bruiser. Better signage, updated maps, and having staff proactively ask if riders are new and recommend appropriate trails would make the experience much more welcoming for first-time visitors. Overall, we enjoyed our day and would come back. With a little more guidance for beginners, Powder Ridge could offer an even better experience for people who are just getting into mountain biking.

My son and I checked out The Haunting at The Ridge, which includes a chairlift ride to the top of the mountain and a 45-minute hike down through haunted trails, pumpkin patches, and zombie lounges. We had a blast. The chairlift was super cool, and the ride up was kinda spooky. While you're on the lift, you can see the trail below. It's downhill, so wear good shoes. The trail was pretty fun, with some jump-scare moments where characters jump out to scare you. At the end, you can grab a bite, chill at the tables, have a drink, and listen to the band. I'd totally go back for the experience.

It felt more like ski daycare run by a group of teenage camp counselors than an actual lesson. To make matters worse, during the 2.5-hour lesson there was a 30-minute snack break -- which is a huge chunk of time when you're paying that much. It felt like a complete waste of both time and money. At least our son, who is an intermediate skier, got a couple of runs in. However, our friend's daughter was sent to the bunny slope, where she was basically just pushed down the hill by teenagers wearing sneakers. I don't understand how you're supposed to teach someone to ski if you're not even on skis yourself. Very disappointing experience, especially for the price.

3 Stars is fair for my first visit…read more Arrived little before 8:30 Presidents Day and as busy as it already was I still got decent parking. Walking up the steps was difficult with my ski boots, wish I snapped a picture but the stairs were poorly shoveled. The walkway was also poorly maintained filled with sugar snow, and it had not snowed in some time. Feel bad for anyone with a disability, would make it very difficult for them and their caretaker. I jumped into the small line to get my ticket outside. Only one window was open which was odd for a holiday. Guessing a manager walked over and told a family a couple people in front of me that there were ticket windows inside too. The lady and her kid who were in front of me soon followed as the family at the ticket window were having difficulty, I followed in as well. It's a tight space to begin with and no clear structure to where the line is. Some lady came from the lodge portion of the building and cut everyone which was rude of her. When I was next in line the same lady manager started yelling at everyone in line about how the line starts outside and so on. Completely threw my vibe of the place in a negative direction. I ignored her as she kept going on and handed the ticket man my Indi Pass and a $10 bill for the $5 RFID card needed. Super quick transaction and I was on my way. Lets talk about the mountain now. I enjoyed the terrain, there was plenty of snowpack which by 10:30 started getting icy. The sun was not out so flat light conditions which made skiing their double blacks on the main face a little more challenging. But absolutely loved the difficulty of those two runs. Wanted to zoom down them but with the flat light and not the sharpest of edges I played it safe. Stayed off the greens of the skiers right, looked for some woods to play in but really didn't have much in the way of them. Took 7 runs and called it a morning. Another thing that bothered me was their idea of where chairlift cans should go when empty. Most mountains have a trash can at the top where people can discard their empties there. Just before the last pole there was a large bin where I am assuming the mountain is promoting throw your empties here. I find it to be poorly thought out as the bin was full and there was trash all over the place. One gust of wind is blowing it all over the mountain which defeats the purpose of. For what it was I enjoyed the people I rode on the lift with, exploring a new mountain, and getting another day under my belt this season.

Too many tickets are sold leading to over crowding…read more Inexperienced and in attentive lift operators are one tragic accident away from someone being seriously injured or worse. I watched someone not make it off the lift on a weekend. The lift was moving way too fast for the number of people at the top of the mountain. The lift hit the person in the back and knocked them down. They were clearly hurt and had to be brought down by ski patrol. The lift operator never stopped it the lift. He didn't noticed it knocked a skier down. This is beyond negligent and dangerous. Stay away!

After getting off the highway, I noticed the beautiful Bousquet Mountain was open. I pulled in and to my delight, noticed that they were actually open, as was the tuning shop. Even though they were 1 minute away from closing, the kind gentleman there took a look at my board, gave me a price estimate and took it in for repair. I'll be picking it up in a few days once complete and I'm super excited to have my board tuned up ready to go for the fresh pow!!!

Staff is so friendly. Everything can be booked online. The ski boots I rented looked brand new. The bunny slope is nice n magic carpet is nice too. I will definitely come back n take a lesson so I'm needing to be rescued by the ski patrol ‍. The ski patrol was fast and amazing. They were my heroes!
