You truly have a heart like Jesus, as He said, 'I have come to be a servant of all and show you the Father's love through my actions.' Your daily actions, such as always entering my home with a sweet greeting and a smile. No matter what may have occurred on your drive to work you never let it change your kindness and compassion towards me. Your daily respect for my autonomy and personal choices have been a great relief and blessing to me. Last year, 2025, was enormously difficult for me physically, emotionally and mentally. I was badly injured by a caregiver who really didn't want to be with me. She wanted to run my life instead of letting me make my own decisions. Everything was a struggle. I am still dealing with the pain and suffering from her carelessness almost a year later. You, however, are the complete opposite of that caregiver. You show genuine care, compassion and empathy to me. At the same time you keep a close watch on me for my episodes, for any unusual reactions, for changes in my body or mind that may indicate something physically is about to happen or something that is happening without my knowledge. Your daily care of me is exceptional. Everything from reading my body signs or noticing that I am in the middle of a call, task or just not ready. Yet, you come back or tell me it's getting late for something we have scheduled. This may be as simple as my breakfast or as important as helping me to get ready for my doctor appointments, my bloodwork or therapy. You encourage me to try many things that can help my health, mood or my outlook for the day. Such as, helping me relearn my Spanish while I help you with English, or walking around the house with my gait belt and walker. You keep me on top of my goals. These can be as basic as making my bed every time I get up (in the morning and after my nap). In fact, this helped me create and continue this habit. Another goal of mine is building my strength and stamina enough to walk around outside my home. This has not happened yet, as I have been primarily bed bound since February 19, 2025. You encourage my stretching in bed to keep my body as limber as possible. This helps reduce injury in case of a fall. My personal Internist, Dr. Fondren of Newport Beach certainly appreciates your encouragement and reminders to help me to regain the strength I have lost since February 2025. (when a different caregiver injured me). Once I have regained a little more endurance, then I can start physical therapy. Finally, my family has been at peace with you being my main caregiver and I love how well you and Gabbi work together caring for me. Just knowing how dependable you both are, how you communicate with each other changes, concerns and even my meal planning and cooking. My sister and my son (they both call me almost every day) are amazed that I finally have a team like you and Gabbi. From my first phone call to Bright Star to the aide they provided, I am 100% satisfied. I spoke with Bonnie when I first called and just like the aide provided, they both have a heart for individuals with significant special needs and for the parents of these individuals. When I first called, I felt the love. I was heard, understood, and matched with the perfect aide for my daughter. I was exhausted from dealing with the school district during IEP meetings, speech therapist who didn't care and the list goes on. It was actually healing to speak with Bonnie during my first call to Bright Star. That's only the beginning. They sent me a wonderful aide to work with my severely delayed nonverbal adult daughter who was lashing out and hitting and scratching the other one-to-one at the adult program. She was miserable there and nonverbal cognitively three and had no way to tell me, but I figured everything out from other parents who experiencing issues with their nonverbal adult children at Momentum. Our one to one has a heart for working with my daughter. My daughter was refusing to enter the front door at Momentum and that all changed. When I drop off my daughter, she runs to see her aide and they mutually love each other other. My daughter is no longer aggressive or in tears. The truth is, if I lose this aide for whatever reason, my daughter would just be home on her iPad all day in her room. Because this aide is basically running a mini program inside the building at Momentum is the only reason she still goes there. Unfortunately the staff at Momentum is not trained or well paid and the turnover rate is high, so my daughter has a problem with changing faces and transitions. With Bright Star my daughter now has a one-to-one aide and it's the same face every day and this face loves her and we love our one-to-one. Bright Star provided a one-to-one who is a blessing to our adult daughter and has given us a piece of mind that is God given. Thank you, Bright Star. Thank you to our one-to-one. It gives me hope that there are good people in this world.

My mother was being released from the hospital into home hospice, and we needed around-the-clock care on very short notice. She was bedridden and required intensive, attentive support. Allen Tahir was our primary contact, and he was extraordinary. With professionalism and kindness, he quickly assembled a team of competent, compassionate, trustworthy, and reliable caregivers so that we could bring my mother home as she wished. Every caregiver who came to our home was wonderful--skilled, gentle, and respectful, not only of my mother but of our entire family. When my mother sadly passed, Allen sent a beautiful bouquet of flowers along with his heartfelt condolences. The flowers were so meaningful and lovely that we featured them in her memorial service. I worked with Jan, who covers the Ventura area, and she was an absolute pleasure to work for. She was very friendly and personable, asked me questions about my father's needs, budget, and area of interest. She then prepared a list of 5 different facilities, set up tours, and toured the with me to ensure all of my questions were answered. She also had a wealth of knowledge about each facility, and helped me decide the best fit for my father. After moving him in, she also checked in regularly to see how the move was going, which was a very nice personal touch. I would highly recommend this service for anybody who needs to help a family member move to assisted living. It made the whole process easier and more manageable.
