**This review is for Dolly's Brazilian waxing service** Although Dolly is a very nice and sweet lady, I'm not sure how she has a 5-star rating. I went in for a Brazilian almost 2 months ago, and it was definitely the worse and most painful I've ever had. I've been on the Brazilian bandwagon for over 6 years, and never realized how good I had it with my last two ladies, until I came here. Dolly has absolutely NO technique, and repeatedly spread wax over areas she had already gone over. Seeing as my lady parts are already sensitive after the first application, you can only imagine how painful it is to have hot wax reapplied over and over to the same area. On top of that, Dolly DOUBLE-DIPS, or more accurately, uses the same stick for the entire service. Not only is this against state-board regulations, but it is completely unsanitary. Take a minute to think about this... Think about the fact that there was another client, on that same table, getting the same service as you...yep, pretty nasty. I am a part of the beauty industry, so I am familiar with State Board regulations, and I just have to say, if they ever were to pay her a visit, she'd definitely get fined up the wazoo. And to add insult to injury, I had a bunch of stray hairs left over. With all the reapplication she was doing, you'd think I'd be completely bare down there! I left, paid, and even gave what I call a "Good Riddance" tip. Sorry, I'm not sorry to my fellow Yelpers who definitely led me astray on this one. Dolly is amazing! I started seeing Dolly to get my eyebrows threaded and eventually got a full Brazilian wax done by her (my very first one). Dolly is very welcoming and kind; she will make you feel comfortable even though waxing is not a pleasant experience. Hello everyone. I have been going to Dolly for about 4 years now. She used to run a threading, waxing and facial business out of her house and she recently moved to this location about a year and a half ago. I have to say that Dolly is the absolute best that i've been to. She is truly a very nice person and always listens to what you want to do. She threads really fast and you don't even feel it! Your eyebrows come out looking awesome. (She waxes full face, upper lip, eyebrows and chin as well...for those who don't like threading). She waxes really fast as well and you barely have time to feel anything. I've gotten my arms, underarms, and legs and stomach done so i speak from experience. I don't have the guts for a brazilian or a bikini but she does those as well. Her facials are absolutely fantastic. I've had a glycolic peel done from her and she gives you a mini-facial with it and it felt great! Its way out in the boonies on central but she is well worth it! She is very accomodating...if you have to get somewhere at a certain time and want an earlier appointment she will let you move your appointment time up if she thinks she can handle it. Also, whenever you call her she will say "hi, this is dolly...". So don't get confused! She rarely says "Thank you for calling Skin Benefits." So when she picks up the phone you should make an appointment. EVERYONE should go here! read more

Dolly is the best of the best. She is absolutely amazing! I got my very first brazilian wax a couple months ago--and WOW, I am SO happy with the results! Dolly uses this 'fancy' wax (as I like to call it), that makes the entire process nearly pain free. On a pain scale from 1-10, it was probably a 3. Very tolerable. And Dolly is such a gem: she makes sure you feel comfortable the entire time, and she did the whole thing in a little less than 30 minutes! And the price is extremely affordable (WAY less than ANY other beauty salon). If you've always wanted to get a brazilian wax, but have always been too scared, Dolly will change all of that. GO GO GO! I used to get my brows threaded at the place by the Naz theatre, but found that they were extremely inconsistent and constantly in a rush. Not to mention, they're just not friendly. I started going to see Dolly for my eyebrows about 6 months ago. Since then, no one has touched my eyebrows but her and it was stay that way as long as I'm in the area. It's appointment based, but you can usually get something in that day. She's extremely accurate, friendly, and fast. Her place is very simple and to the point. No frills, no fuss! I've been going to Dolly for threading and waxing for 8 years. I love her! Her work great. She super friendly, and always on schedule (she never overbooks herself). Her studio is very inviting, there isn't too many overwhelming beauty products all over the place. The location is convienient and parking is easy. I trust no one else with my eyebrows! read more

Like the other girls here said, Dolly is a total sweetheart. She is very nice and very personable! She is by appointment only, so you have to make sure to call beforehand. She is flexible with her schedule and was happy to meet up with me even on sort notice. Her method of threading is a little more painful than what I've experienced from past visits to Threads. I think it is because she doesn't place the thread between her lips to get more torque. She just uses her hands ... which is fine. I've removed 1/2 a star because it is a little bit more painful than what I was accustomed to and 1/2 a star because for some reason she seems like she rushes me out of the door sometimes. But I think that it's because I give her the impression that I'm in a hurry ... I dunno. I would still go to her to get my eyebrows threaded despite this. read more

I would say 41/2 stars. I had a very good overall experience. The threading was good. Facial was very good. Only thing was the heated hand mitts. One of the mitts started getting scalding hot. Iwasn't sure what was going on. Dolly had left the room. But she was back and we removed it before I got burned , phew. I liked that there weren't other customers taking loudly, or phones being answered while she was doing the facial. read more

Dolly is a lovely person. She always greeted me with a smile and a hug, which is a huge plus because it makes customers feel welcomed. She's also very accommodating. There's been numerous times when I've had to reschedule my appointments and she did not make a fuss. I always felt bad when I had to cancel an appointment last minute but she always seemed understanding. I used to get my threading and facials done by her regularly but at the moment I cannot afford to do so. Also, she is kind of out of the way for me. If you live near her location, I'd definitely suggest you look her up for threading, waxing or facials. Oh and before I forget...her facial, neck and shoulder massages are heaven. read more

I'm new to the area and had no idea where to go for a waxing, but Yelp reviews did not steer me wrong. Dolly is the most accommodating and nicest person! She was able to get me in last minute for a bikini wax and not only is she super fast, but very good. Make sure to call for an appointment and leave a message if Dolly doesn't pick up. Like other reviews, Dolly just mentions her name, not her business, so don't get discouraged. She'll call you back quickly. I don't even remember how long I have been going to Dolly. Absolutely love her! She is an amazing person and never had problems going to her. After moving from Fremont to Santa Clara I still come to her. Did not like anyone else around my new location. She is very gentle with your skin and body. She doesn't pull or hurt your skin while waxing (This is very important for me). Though, she is fast and efficient. Dolly has magical hands...... At least, try once and you'll figure out what I am saying. I have recommended my family and all my friends to her. They all love her too. Highly recommended!!!!! read more

Dolly is the best! I have known her for about 15 years now (my mom used to go to her before I did). She does everything from eyebrows, threading, waxing, and facials. Even after I've moved away from the Fremont area I make the point to come back whenever I am in the area since I don't trust anyone else with my eyebrows. The one downside is that she is slightly on the pricey side but for the level of comfort and familiarity I have with her, there is no price to pay. i had been going to Beauty Plus on Paseo for over a year now to get my eyebrows done, but the past few times i was not satisfied and they would look at me like i was crazy when i told them. so i looked on here and found Skin Benefits and saw the high number of stars and that all the reviews were consistent. so i called and was able to make an appointment for that 7:30 that night and Dolly was able to fix my brows! i was so happy! and she made me feel so special while i was there and was super friendly. this was the first time i actually enjoyed the whole experience from the time i walked in the door to the time i left. diffidently going back next time :) read more

I have been going to Dolly for the last 10 years now! I have followed her around in every shop that she worked at before she got her own salon. She does an amazing job and I get numerous compliments on my eye-brows due to the phenomonal job that she does. She is very professional and accurate.
