Very unmaintained and unhygienic place. This is run from a room partitioned in the back of the house. Visited this place for the first time waxing was not satisfactory when showed that hair on hand were left behind to which she responded that very small can't be waxed. Also was persistent in selling her other services. She does not take card just accepts cash and PayPal. Also while PayPal it deducted money from my side and sent her 5$ less. This update is LONG overdue. I have still been seeing Mini for my eyebrows on a regular basis. We moved to San Jose for a year, and I still felt that the drive to Fremont was worth it for her amazing work. I will not let anyone else touch my eye brows. Mini is so kind and so nice. I went to get a Brazilian Wax, layers, my eyebrows done, and my mustache and I cannot express the level of comfort I had when I was there. Her salon is very spacious and very roomy. You feel like you're pretty much at your own house. The conversations I had with her were endless. She is so full of it!! I went in for the first time and first red flag was she was talking to me as if we have known each other for years - well it's good if you are genuinely a nice person but this was more of a farce so that when I don't like her work I am not able to say anything! Then she was done with my threading in literally 2 minutes - and had obviously left unfinished patches which she completely denied saying 'I have been doing this for years and that's your skin, not hair'! The nerve! Well, I am moving to the east coast tomorrow so I am not going to visit her again, but others beware! She is a con artist! Don't be fooled by the neighborhood setting or bad reviews! Mini (the owner) is excellent at what she does for an affordable price. I've been coming here for at least 6 years, probably even longer. I always come here for my threading and don't trust any place else after trying another place closer to me. I never thought to check in or review her on yelp, shame on me! First thing is first, the location is an intimate 1 story house that can easily be missed so be careful. Parking is easy to find on the street and if you get lucky, in the front of the building. Inside you will find a threading chair and areas for hair, mani, and pedis in the main room, a room for facials and waxing, and another room I've never been in (perhaps storage or another waxing room). I come here for my threading, both eye brows and upper lip. I typically pay around $8-10 give or take for both; $5 for eye brows and $3 for upper lip I believe. I've also had a facial from her as well, in addition to a partial face threading. She's the fastest threader I've ever had (thank goodness, that sh*t hurts enough as it is), and she's very efficient in multitasking. I also appreciate that she tells me straight up if I need something done or not -- if your upper lip is still okay, she'll be honest and say you don't need a thread there. The environment overall is home-like, literally and figuratively. There are couches for waiting, a tv, and her small dog before she got run over in the street :( As I mentioned she multitasks regularly, like answering the phone and such. So those reviews mentioning her "unprofessionalism" are mostly tied to these things. However, I find it rather comforting and even with multitasking she somehow still threads so fast and gets me outta there in 5-10 mins if there's no wait. Those who go to Mini are typically regulars like myself and don't mind because we've been going here for so long and know how on point she is with her threading. But if you're looking for more of a typical salon style place or anything luxurious, then perhaps look elsewhere. The ambiance is a different style. I have been overdue for a review here! I came here last week with my bestie because of all the 5 star reviews that people have been giving her. We usually go to Beauology but the girl who usually does our eyebrows for us wasn't there and we had a concert to go to the day of. This is a small little shop when we walked in we were greeted by Mini and she was with someone at the time so we waited for probably 15 minutes My friend got her eyebrows threaded first and at first Mini seemed to know what she was doing because she was so fast at it, we had told her to keep the arch on her eyebrows but at the end my friend walked out with hardly any to no eyebrows!!!! I used to come here for to get my eyebrows done. Mini doesn't know how to treat her customers. She's too loud, keeps talking on phone while servicing and lacks any interest or attention to detail. I went for waxing today (full arms + under arms) and the service was very bad. The lady used cloth instead of wax strips to remove the hair and it was very painful.The lighting in the room was very dim and i could not see clearly. She had not waxed properly near my shoulder(there was some hair) and when i asked if she could wax there, she said she has already done it. When i came out and checked, there was still hair in that area. I had to pay $30 for the bad and painful service. I would not recommend this place at all. read more

I went there because I needed to get my eyebrows and lip done. It's a house, don't expect anything else. I walked in and stood there unaware of what to do. I heard someone from the other room telling me to sit down. A few minutes later a lady comes out of the room and instructs me to sit down on a chair.I do. She does my eyebrows, doesn't ask if I need anything, and then tells me to get up, and instructs the next person to sit. She didn't even ask if I needed anything else (and I did need my upper lip done). I'm not criticizing her work, she's fine, but don't expect great service. I was shocked coz my hair was long enough to take atleast 15-20 mins to remove all splits.. and she doesn't know how to cut, coz left splits as it is, no layers and gave very short bang which was not proportionate... I go to Mini for Full Leg & Arm Waxing. She uses a cloth & it hurts a little less with cloth. Also I feel the hair growth is slow. When I go to other places which use disposable cloth, they literally tear my skin apart. I havnt gotten my eyebrows done from her anytime but I did once get facial bleach. I did not like the work. Needed color touch up and trim desperately. Found Mini on Yelp, gave her a call and she accommodated me that very day. A bit skeptical at first when I arrived to the salon which is located in a mostly residential neighborhood and the salon itself is the front part of a residential dwelling. I was greeted by a very friendly young lady, Mini the owner. She just made me feel comfortable and said she will do my hair and I will like it. This may sound scary to many ladies but my motto is that "no hair cut or color is truly permanent". So I just let her do her thing. Not only did she end up doing my color, cut, highlights but also threaded my face and gave me a wonderful facial. She is very proficient, extremely talented, knows what she is doing and very hard working. I was very pleased with the outcome and even more pleased that I didn't have to spend an entire day to get "completely tuned up". If you are looking for a high end salon with cucumber flavored water and the high price tag than this is not for you. I love Mini! She has always been super nice to me and is 'my' waxing lady. I have been going to her since I was around 16 years old for Brazilian Waxing and she does a great job. I've never had a bad experience with her and she accepts both card and cash. I haven't been able to go recently since my days off are also her days off, but I look forward to seeing her again. I seriously love Mini and don't trust anyone else with my eyebrows. I used to pluck them myself until I took a leap of faith one day and went to her and am so glad I did. I like that she listens to exactly how I want them to be shaped. I get my face threaded here about 1-2 times a month and it's always to my liking. Even when the results haven't been satisfactory, I like that I can bring it up and Mini will graciously listen and accommodate. She's the best.
