Christina is the facialist that I've been looking for all of my life! I'm happy to report that the Yelp reviews are all true. Her services include a variety of different facials that are tailored to your skin concerns in addition to add ons such as dermaplaning, eye masks, 24K gold therapy, light therapy, and much more. I've done the detox and brightening facials and have been so pleased with the results and my post-facial glow. Christina explains each step throughout the process in addition to the products being used. She has provided recommendations for my skin outside of the products that she sells in her studio (and is never pushy about upselling or using her products) and is easy to talk to. You have to definitely try the Hydro-Peel here it's almost similar to the going trend of the Hydra-Facials offered across America and at most plastic surgery offices. It's highly used in Asian countries and offers more lastly results. My skin feels so soft, dewy and the color is coming back after a VI Peel I had weeks ago. Updating review!!! Skin Facial Bar closed for about a year due to Covid. Even when state officials said businesses were allowed to start opening (before vaccines were available), Christina still kept her business closed out of precaution. Honestly, a good move considering facials are so up close and personal, and she runs her entire business alone. I went for 75 min detox yesterday (way overdue since my last appt was a year ago), and it was so nice to be back. She took all of the precautionary measures with questionnaires, temperature check, and masks/gloves/shield. I missed getting facials so much as it was beyond just for good health. When I entered her office, I was in awe with her minimalism and the simplicity of her studio. She has succulents, candles, faux fur, marble, white leather chairs, and the prettiest sheer white curtains draping from the ceiling. Shout-out to Christina for her aesthetic for ambiance as well as beauty! The first step towards your skincare journey is filling out a consent form and going over your medical history, what skincare products you've been using, any allergies, etc. (cough cough, how much more professional can you get?). Next, she guides you to the white chair of cleanliness and she drapes you with a blanket. She'll pull your stubborn baby hairs back with her spa headband. Now, onto the assessment and Christina will recommend what she thinks your skin needs that day. [Side note: when you book your appointment with SFB, you can pick a service and you're more than welcome to ask Christina to add any modifications after she's assessed your skin.] I always purchase the 75-minute detox facial. In a nutshell, Christina's aesthetician services is Korea meets America with a splash of modern technology. She begins by steaming your face and getting your skin nice and prepped for the detox. Her dexterous fingers get into every pore and fine line as she cleanses your skin. There are extractions that she performs in a gentle manner without having to worry about major scarring. My favorite part is when she chooses which mask to apply to your face and they smell oh so luxurious. She'll then go onto adding enzymes and serums that she thinks is appropriate for your skin in that session. Finally, Christina does oxygen therapy that helps to regenerate your healthy cells and she places you under a LED light. Christina is a savior!!! It has only been one day after receiving a Clear 75 minute targeted facial and I am already seeing improvements in my skin.
