My original appointment was scheduled for 11:00 AM, but the only alternative offered to me that day was at 3:45 PM. As you mentioned, I drove from Lincoln to Folsom, which is about an hour each way. That would have meant spending roughly two hours driving, plus waiting around most of the day, which honestly wasn't realistic for me. Additionally, I had requested to speak with a manager at the time. I was told that Tia was in an unexpected meeting and would return my call afterward. It has now been five days, and I have yet to receive that call. I understand that scheduling challenges can happen, but the lack of timely communication and follow-up has been disappointing--especially as a first-time client. I completed all the forms and submitted them 5 days in advance. Drove 3 hours to get here. Made it on time, but they have no assigned parking, so it took me 4 minutes to walk from my car to the front desk and they refused to see me. As consolation, they offered for me to wait 2 hours for another appointment. When I returned for my later appointment, they treated me very differently. I felt like they tried to make it right, offering me free add-ons and extras. I had a pleasant experience. That is very nice, but it's still annoying the business is pretending it has exclusive booking and is so busy that it cannot accept clients even 1 minute late (as I read in another review). Don't believe their responses. They can. They absolutely have the time for it. It's not that bougie. read more

I have been going to Skin Laundry since late August (so about 4 months now) and I can genuinely say I am obsessed with my results. I just turned 33 a couple weeks ago and I still struggle with occasional break outs of cystic acne as well as blackheads/clogged pores. I also want to combat wrinkles as much as I can as I enter my mid-30s. I signed up for a membership and I get 2 power signature laser facials monthly. Since starting at Skin Laundry, my overall skin texture has improved significantly. My acne breakouts are far less often and when I do have some acne it's much more mild compared to before. I also did a peel for the first time last week and my boyfriend said my skin looked noticeably glowier. He joked "I didn't want to say anything because i don't need you spending more money there!" The staff is always incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and answers any questions I have regarding treatments. The nurses are always so wonderful and check in to make sure you are comfortable the entire duration of your session. They also give excellent recommendations for products that can help manage specific concerns. I bought the Skin Laundry hyaluronic acid serum and it helps keep my skin super moisturized and hydrated (which is essential after the peel I got last week!) Honestly I am so impressed with my experience here. We had two confirmed appointments at this Skin Laundry location. My wife and I arrived on time. At the reception, they refused to provide the service because my wife mentioned that she may not understand some medical terms in English. She came fully prepared with several translation options: * Google Translate, * real-time translation earbuds, * and a live interpreter available by phone. Despite all of this, they told us they would not accept us and said that an interpreter must be physically present -- which is not required by any medical or consumer regulations in California. No nurse came out to speak with us. No one tried to clarify anything or communicate professionally. They simply canceled our appointments and dismissed us. This was clear discrimination based on language, and the experience was humiliating and unacceptable. Very unprofessional and completely disrespectful. read more

I went back to the spa today after a forgettable experience in 2024 . Luckily, Brittany and Madison were kind enough to lower the price of the signature facial from $275 to $75 . But, the actual treatment was a major letdown . I arrived 10 minutes early, but wasn't seen until 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment . The facial itself was super short - only 10 minutes ! And the strong alcohol wipe was Overpowering! As someone who's had over 100 facials(I'm 61) I was seriously disappointed . The esthetician offered a medical-grade product for $50 to finish off the service which seemed way too pricey for a small dime size moisturizer. Although all the staff was friendly, their niceness didn't make up for the subpar service . I'm suspicious about some of the reviews because good reviews can be bought(monthly payments) and bad reviews can be hidden. They are incredibly sweet and hospitable, going above and beyond to accommodate me despite all the changes. I actually ended up arriving about ten minutes late yesterday for my appt due to traffic, and normally that would mean having to reschedule. But since that was my only day in town, they found a way to fit me in. If you're looking for a place that truly values their clients and is willing to be flexible, I'd definitely recommend Skin Laundry in Folsom. Disappointing Experience -- Felt Like a Cash Grab I came in after seeing ads offering a consultation and basic treatment for $75. It sounded like a good intro offer, but the experience did not live up to expectations. After checking in, we watched what was essentially a promotional video. The receptionist was kind, but only provided very general information. When the esthetician came to get us, I asked about the consultation and was surprised to be told we had already had it. There was no skin evaluation, no discussion of acne type, no explanation of the treatment process, or what might actually work for my skin. Just a brief conversation about what to expect in the room, followed by a push toward the $75 laser treatment. When I asked about how many treatments I might need or what type, the esthetician said it depended on the acne, but then admitted the treatment might not be effective if it didn't match the acne type. When I asked who makes that determination, she paused and finally said, "Oh yeah, that would be me." The whole thing felt rushed and unprofessional. It came across as more of a marketing funnel than a true consultation. I left feeling like the goal was just to get people in the door and sell a basic service, not to provide real skincare help. Great step to getting into beginning level Laser treatment. I can't say my results were spectacular or life-changing after a 4 month (Required membership/contract). Nurses are awesome, but there is always an upsell every visit. The downfall is, every time I call to schedule or reschedule an appointment the staff never answers. Amazing customer service, friendly and knowledgeable nurses, clean and cute facilities! TLDR: get a founders membership, be consistent (with the treatments AND at home care) I have a founders membership which is $250 a month and I feel that it's super worth it! I've had their signature laser, thermo fractional, and power duo treatments. Power duo does require ~month downtime so I do not recommend if you have a lot of social events for the month! During covid I started breaking out really bad and once my skin recovered I was left with some acne scarring and hyperpigmentation (dark red marks). After my initial consultation/first signature facial my nurse recommended weekly signature laser facials to clear any existing acne and then moving up to a higher level and trying out the thermo treatment. Remember that results are compounded over time and everyone's skin is different! Skin requires a lot of trial and error, as well as patience. So far I am super pleased with my results. My dark marks are slowly fading, my skin looks more plump, and when I do breakout I notice it heals SO much faster than before. My fiancé has even complimented me on my skin's improvement and says that it's more glowy! Side by side picture is after 3 signature laser treatments. Single photo is my skin after healing from my first thermo facial. Highly recommend purchasing a lidocaine cream to slather on your face before your thermo/power duo facials and wiping off before your appt! They definitely can be a bit painful, especially when you move up in settings. I love how easy the Skin Laundry app is to schedule and reschedule appts. Remember to be on time since your appointment is typically only 15 mins! They send a reminder text the day before to help people avoid any cancellation fees and then another reminder the morning of. My favorite nurses are Nikki and Tifani. Nikki is super friendly and Tifani is very detailed/thorough. Your nurse will recommend any serums during your initial consultation -- I use their vitamin c and tranexamic acid serums. Overall 5/5 experience and results! read more

I've been coming to Skin Laundry for 3 months now. I initially came after seeing an advertisement on Instagram for $75 for your first laser facial. They offer package deals to come in more consistently, but I didn't feel like it was a hard sell. I told them I wanted to see if I got any results before committing to anything. I have some very stubborn hormonal acne along my jawline. A day or two after the signature laser facial, I noticed the acne appeared to be much smaller. I was happy with the results so I signed a 3 month contract for their founders package, which allows for weekly signature facials every month. I noticed a lot of results in the beginning. But I feel as my skin got used to the treatments, I didn't see obvious results as I did with my first 3-4 treatments. Everyone is very polite and the nurses are super informative. I do enjoy coming as it is a little treat for myself every week. I did have them reschedule on me twice, stating one of the lasers went down. And they were closed on Saturday for a company wide retreat or training session. All in all, it's fun to come, it helps a bit with my stubborn acne, and the founders package is a great deal. I have been coming here monthly for the last five months. I have been very happy with the results and staff. I reviewed this place last October and only gave 4 stars because nobody would answer the phone or call me back after leaving a messages. The service has since been improved. I think people need to check their expectations when receiving treatments of any kind. Let it be a facial or going to the chiropractor. Nothing is immediate! Your skin or spine didn't get the way it is overnight, it's going to take awhile for the problems to improve. I receive the power duo every 30 days. The laser facial is like a warm light on my face, it feels light a heat lamp. The thermo fractional is not comfortable however, it is not intolerable. It's spicy and warm while driving home but not unbearable. When I have these facials I do what is suggested and give myself a day off by resting and applying topicals that heal my skin. The dark spot on my cheek has faded significantly. My skin is very oily and therefore I have terrible blackheads on my nose and chin. Since having treatments regularly I no longer struggle with the pesky blackheads. The pores on my nose and chin are also significantly smaller. I receive compliments constantly about how beautiful my skin is. I'm no spring chicken, I'm 47 and want to age gracefully without having needles or surgery; only because that's a scary rabbit hole for me. With that being said, remember expectations are resentments waiting to happen. Procedures of any kind will not produce immediate results. Very very disappointed in the service that I received today. I purchased a membership in this was the 2nd one. The experience was sub par at best. Was so completely different than the first membership facial that I received. My appointment was at 3 o'clock. She took me back in and started the facial at 3:10 and she was done at 3:25. There were two different lasers used on me, and I was so shocked because it was nothing like this experience I had the prior month. I need to fill the first session did anything I have barely felt any heat at all, and the second one went so fast I didn't really even know that everything was finished. I also when I first signed up was under the impression I signed up for a special to have my neck and décolleté done and that was part of the membership price that I was paying 275 when all of the ads that I had come in for said $225. Imagine my surprise when I didn't get my neck treatment I was told it was just a one time only special, and the facial was terrible. I'm very disappointed, I feel kind of cheated, and really thinking about requesting a refund. I am so completely disappointed with this facial. I even have taken photos to show an hour after the service, and it looks like I have nothing done, where last time I was read, and you could see the marks all over my face for three hours.
