After going in, we were able to determine that what I experienced was actually an allergic reaction--not a burn. It turns out my skin was already irritated because I had gone a long time between services and my hair was thicker/longer than usual. On top of that, a healing balm was used that I had never had before, and my skin reacted badly to it. So to be clear--this was not due to the technique, the sugarista, or the business itself. They handled the situation very professionally. I was refunded for my visit and they also provided me with a complimentary service. I went back for a lip sugaring without the healing balm, and everything was perfectly fine. I really appreciate how quickly and seriously the owner addressed this and took the time to figure it out. Going forward, I'll just be avoiding the healing balm, but I will continue to return as a client.

I think that she spent about an hour explaining the process and the expected results. She also does laser hair removal and I think that the price is the most reasonable in town. There is another lady at this location, her name is Susan, she does the spray tans, facials and more of the spa end of the business.
