i really was looking forward to the facial based on all the rave on yelp...i was however sadly disappointed. I don't like to state names as the issue could be resolved by better training by management, but I will state that the pressure she used and her massage techniques definitely needed improvement. i've had my share of facials, and always ALWAYS before they apply any sort of treatment that may be harsh or uncomfortable, they will tell you that 'i'm now going to do such and such, it may cause such and such, please let me know if it's too uncomfortable/burning/etc". this gal didn't let me know what she was going to do, all i know is that the facial went from rubbing cream to a sudden sense of intense burning...i finally had to ask her "is this the alpha peel" ( i mean i know that's what I signed up for but just a little head's up would have been nice)...she then went on to "zap" my face...wth...i did not ask for that, was not asked if i even wanted that OR how it would feel...again, not much warning, she put a thin cloth over my face and startled me with the damn zapping which btw did hurt but i have a high pain threshold...it's just that there was very bad communication/bed side manner...sort of felt like i was inconveniencing her.... Again the massage part of the facial left much to be desired. the best part of the whole ordeal was the makeup application at the end..the lady did a nice job of matching my shade which can be a challenge and i appreciated her efforts. only reason for any stars Sorry folks, for the price of admission, it was NOT worth it....left feeling duped. read more

I was really pleased when I was able to book a same day appointment where Claudine worked her magic on my skin. I was incredibly blown away by the experience, service and could not believe the wonderful lasting effects the oatmeal facial had on my skin. My skin had an incredible glow and all the icky bumps (blackheads and whiteheads) that plagued my skin were gone. Not to mention that mineral make-up was applied to my skin which enabled me to continue about my day rather than having to rush home to put make-up on. After some online research I decided to try Skin Bar. My esthetician's name was CJ. She was very professional and knowledgeable. The pomegranate facial was amazing and very relaxing. I also tried dermaplaning for the first time. I was a little nervous to try this treatment. CJ did a wonderful job and she made me feel very comfortable.
