I had a wonderful alpha-beta facial from Claudine; she chose which type of facial would be best for me. She gave an excellent shoulder, neck, arm, and hand massage while the mask was on. After the facial she put a little bit of make-up on me which looked amazing...I think I'm going to have to buy it next time. I kept looking at how great my complexion was for the rest of the day. You could definitely get a facial here before a big event and look great walking out the door. Claudine was extremely friendly as was the rest of the staff there. Claudine even gave me a sample of the tinted moisturizer she used and told me which powder she used without making me feel like I needed to buy the items. The couple of times I went there the price initially given that I also confirmed in the massage room mysteriously increased while walking from the massage room to the cashier. There was an added $25 because they claimed they gave me some extra something (without letting me know in advance, of course). The first time I thought it was a mistake, but when it happened again the second time for the same amount and for the same mysterious unannounced added ingredient, I saw a trend. I called to cancel my next appointment and explained the reason, even told the lady I thought they may very well be doing something unethical. She didn't sound surprised and could've cared less. I was really pleased when I was able to book a same day appointment where Claudine worked her magic on my skin. I was incredibly blown away by the experience, service and could not believe the wonderful lasting effects the oatmeal facial had on my skin. My skin had an incredible glow and all the icky bumps (blackheads and whiteheads) that plagued my skin were gone. Not to mention that mineral make-up was applied to my skin which enabled me to continue about my day rather than having to rush home to put make-up on. Kayla Plain has been helping with me all things beauty-related for a couple of years now. I struggled with severe acne for about 10 years before I started bouncing ideas off of her. After discussing possible triggers and following her recommendations, the majority of which were completely natural, my acne cleared. All that was left was the discoloration/scarring from my years of picking. I've now been trying to make up for lost time with my skin by indulging in makeup, facials and products. In addition to having my makeup done by Kayla, flawlessly, I've been able to learn from her which makeup works best for me and looks best on me. As often as my schedule allows I go see her for facials - I love them! She takes her time, totally pampers you, and completely tailors her facials for each client's specific needs and skin-type. She won't allow you to schedule a facial more often than you need, either - her biggest concern is your skin's health and safety. I've also recently started spoiling myself with moisturizers and skin products that I could never use before without my skin retaliating. She has recommended products that work best for my skin and the results that I'm after and has never once pushed a product on me that I don't need. She actually never pushes anything. Her biggest concern, again, is your skin's health and safety. That concern shows in her work. I have been coming to the Skinbar since I was 7 years old and am currently 19- that's how much I love it. I used to go there so young to get waxed by a lady named Kat who always did a PHENOMENAL job, but sadly lives in California now. The owner, Lynda, is such a treat. She always interacts with her customers and is so happy to help with anything! Whether it be finding the best product for someone's face, making sure they have water, giving discounts if needed, and overall providing the BEST customer service out there! I get all my facials done by her and needless to say my skin is a mess. I have cystic acne, it's always inflamed, and irritated very easily. Lynda makes sure to always give the best facial, and helping my skin afterwards by putting me under a red lighter which is suppose to take down all the inflammation. After all is said and done, she puts a little powder on me to make me look awake and then I'm in my way! After every facial she gives me I am never disappointed. My skin is left feeling so much better and the products she recommends for me are literally life changing. I have been going to SkinBar for years. They carry all the best products, they help and advise you on what or what not to use. At skinbar they actually care about your skin, and arent like other places who just want to sell you products.
