Excellent, heavy-duty, no frills skincare studio. I definitely do not think this a spa to relax, this is a spa to treat problematic skins and rejuvenate your look. I think if you go into it thinking it's going to be a spa where there's soft music playing and lemon grass scented candles, you will be disappointed. However, I went in ready to get my skin cleared out. Cindy gave me a mild peel and it was amazing! She thoroughly extracted my skin and a week later, I was left with the clear, beautiful skin that looks even better now at 31 than when I was 16. I am extremely pleased with the results of my peel and Botox and everyone keeps asking me what products I use. Results like this do not come from at-home products, but rather under the care of a skincare expert. They have a lot of cutting edge skincare technology/techniques here from Asia, which is so surprising here in Sacramento. This is my first and only experience so far with this spa and I'm very happy with my results. They are not open on weekends, but they're open to stay late during the weekdays to accommodate busy schedules for the working person. Went here for the first time for Botox injections. I met with Jenn who is a licensed RN, she administered my botox injections. I really loved Jenn. She was very gentle when she administered the Botox, she evaluated me and recommended to be very conservative in administering the Botox units. She asked if I still wanted facial expressions, which is the first time I was asked this question. I realized the last time I got Botox from another company, I received way too many units because I had no expressions and feel I looked weird. I think patients should be given this choice. I personally want some expressions and I know that others don't want this. I'm glad I was given the choice. I do however, have the opportunity to go back again for more units. I do like to look a bit more my normal self. The staff was very friendly, and the spa was very clean I highly recommend Jenn and Skin Hub! read more

From the get go, the staff was very kind and they really made me feel welcome. During the consultation, I told Cyndee I was interested in RF microneedling. She recommended doing a chemical peel first, and maybe more in between the micro needling sessions. She did a phenomenal job on the chemical peel. The after care visit was amazing as well. She knows her stuff and is very attentive. There were just a few things I wasn't happy with. There was a couple times where my appointments were moved last minute. I get it. Things happen, so I let it slide. After my chemical peel, Cyndee said she would text me after care instructions but she never did. Then during my follow up visit, I was asked if I paid for the skin tag removals from the prior appointment. I did, let them know that I did, and that was that. She wasn't pushy or anything. I just thought it was weird that they didn't just look at their records since it's online in their portal. After my chemical peel, I was advised to finish a bottle of their toner before making an appointment to start RF microneedling. I was told to keep in touch once I finished. I called to make an appointment but Cyndee said she needed to contact the nurse first. I gave her my availability info and she said she would call back and arrange a scheduled date and time for the next appointment. I never heard back and that was about 3 weeks ago. To be honest, that was the last straw for me and I chose to go get RF microneedling elsewhere. *****HIGHLY RECOMMEND***** My skin needed a lot of TLC since I spend most of my time outdoors despite slathering on sunscreen.. I booked an appointment with Skin Hub thinking all I needed was microdermabrasion. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised they mostly use ZO products (really good stuff!) the medi spa was clean and the staff were so kind and accommodating. When the esthetician/ nurse examined my skin she recommended a plan to specifically rid of my melasma and large pores. My first treatment was a chemical peel. She warned me that it might sting although some don't experience this at all. She gave me a fan for my face and considerate asking how I felt the entire time. ALSO... GET THIS!! I saw they had all these different machines and asked what they were for. They have the new machines that permanently kill your fat cells in your trouble areas. I noticed Skin Hub in fact has all the latest treatments / technology!!! I saw this machine featured on Dr Oz and was really curious if it will work on me (3 kids later). So. I asked if we can do this treatment too (surprisingly affordable) AND IT WORKS!! Omg no pain what so ever. The machine doesn't even touch your skin. It is some kind of light that they put around your waist and belly fat for several minutes. My tummy felt warm afterwards but not painful. The next couple of days I went to the bathroom a lot (probably flushing the far out) I saw I had a waist again!! My jeans fit without the donut roll! I am definitely coming back for this. I measured 2 inches off the area she worked on!!!!!!! I felt so comfortable here and taken care of. They really know what they are doing here. Unlike every medi spa I've ever went to (I've been to many!) this is the only medi spa that didn't try to upsell me on products / services I truly didn't need. They genuinely cared about the end result and wanted the best for me. I have another appointment set up and am definitely going to be a regular! Be patient. They are a very busy spa. So after my first peel I will say that my skin looks nice. It's not done peeling but I can tell that Cyndee did a great job. However, I decided not to finish my package. Like another reviewer said. There is no fluff here and that's spot on. After consulting with some other skin care professionals I realized that the peel I received was most likely a basic modified Jessner peel. It didn't seem customized at all like I was told during the consultation as it didn't appear as if she read my file, and she didn't discuss with me how she was customizing the peel for my problem areas. When I first came in I was focused on hyperpigmentation and necklace lines. I really wanted to do microneedling but was encouraged by Isabel to do the peel series first and then go from there. I got a package of 3 sessions which is 2 peels and a healing treatment sandwiched in between. The package was a little over 1K. I guess that's their method. The peel came out with no issues, but I received feedback that I way overpaid for a peel; it breaks down to about $380 a peel/session. I could get a series of modified jessner peels for the price of those 3 seasons. And since it will take a few sessions to deal with the hyperpigmentation that's going to add up quick. Like I said before Cyndee seems great at what she does and if her other services are like the peels I'm sure they will come out good. But I would skip this place for the peels and go somewhere else. Come back here for the other stuff. You'd have more than enough money left over for fillers, microneedling, Botox, etc. read more

Took my daughter in for the acne peel treatment and Cyndee worked wonders on my daughter's skin. My daughter's face suffers from acne and scarring. The acne peel + microdermabrasion was the best thing that happened to her. Her scars have minimized and is still disappearing with the toner given after the peel treatment. I really recommend skinhub for your skin needs or other non invasive procedures you would like done to enhance your skin, face and features. I went to cyndee last year for my chemical peel. She is just so nice and friendly. Talking to her is like to to anyone of your friends you're hanging out with. I did a series chemical peel package. They were offering a six plus two deal at the time. I'm glad I found skinhub. The treatments are in session but it helped with my acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. Cyndee isn't pushy she doesnt try to sell you product but she recommends them to you and helps tailor it to your skin needs. My skin isnt flawless but it has improved since going to her and with the products I've been using recommended by her. They have a great toner and a couple products which I did purchase from them and love cause it helps with my hormonal breakout. It literally shrinks and heals it. I do the regiments she gave me and Its improving so much. I've wasted tons of $ on other products and going to get facials at other places and none have worked for me. I'm so glad I found this place. The staff there are all professional and super friendly. Going there is like your walking in your family relatives house. They greet you chat with you and theyre honest and have good sense of humor. Isabel is amazing she strives for quality and her techniques are amazing. I hear horror stories about all these procedures and how painful and the results are subpar but not with the way Isabel injects you it's very minimal pain. She has her own way of doing things. For all my procedures before hand we talked about what I want done and she assesed me and recommended certain amount of syringe for different areas of my face for what I was having done. Also With the lip injection she gave me natural more plump lips how I wanted. All this really did enhance my lips since I have more thin top lip vs bottom lip. She had her technique of injecting me and molding my lips. She did such an amazing job! No wonder she's the BEAUTY INJECTOR! She made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. She numbed my lips before proceding. This is her specialty in what she does. I'd like to call her the INJECTION QUEEN LOL! She strives for perfection in what she does. I opted for lip fillers on my next visit as mention aboved Im glad I did. Now I can wear lipsticks, gloss, or just go bare lip and still have that full natural lip look. With my last appt She contoured my face to give me a more natural cheekbone without looking like plastic. The injections were minimal pain but well worth it. Such a great place. I found her on Yelp and tried her out based on her reviews. One review remarked on the outward appearance of the store's location which is true... the store front isn't impressive but doesn't compare to the ambiance when you step through the door. Everything is clean, fresh smelling and instantly relaxing. Cyndee greets her clients warmly and does a full skin consultation before treating. She never pushes products or "upsells" treatments. She is quite knowledgeable and great at explaining each thing she does. There is relaxing music playing quietly and I've actually dozed off a few times :) I have been going consistently now for several months as she will give me microdermabrasion and peel every 6 weeks and my skin is loving it. I enjoy Cyndee. However, I think some improvements could be made for a more enjoyable experience. First, it is much too loud. They do not close doors, so you hear everyone talking and walking down the hall. Low music would be nice in the rooms to drown out the noise. Second, the facials seem rushed. Washing of the face is quick and hard, and the microdermabrasion is really fast and does not cover the entire surface. I have paid over $1000 for 3 chemical peels, so I am expecting a thorough cleanse and meticulous microdermabrasion. Last, I find it odd they do not use a magnifying mirror when doing extractions or examining the face. I do like this place, but with improvements I would more likely come back. read more

They don't provide a list of their prices and every time I went to get the same procedures, each time was different pricing . I understand prices change but they don't tell you that, and for the prices to change each time doesn't make any sense. I found The Skin Hub on Groupon on impulse and called to see if they had a same day appointment for a micro-dermabrasion facial. Cyndee got me in that day, and was very pleasant and professional. I've never had micro-dermabrasion before, so I have nothing to compare the experience to, but I really liked the facial. I came here for a signature facial with Cyndee. When I first drove up to the business, I had doubts. It's located off of Elk Grove Blvd in a back alley right next to Kaia Fitness. Outside looks dark and industrial...not somewhere I'd think catered to beauty. My doubts quickly faded away once I stepped inside. It's beautifully decorated and had a cute, beach house feel. I'd have to say this was one of the better facial experiences I've had. I usually have a love-hate relationship with extractions but Cyndee was quick and efficient and it was relatively painless. Cyndee catered the facial to my skin needs. She combined the Signature Facial with microdermabrasion and offered me a discount to boot. She normally would've charge $140 but gave it to me for $75. I bought a Groupon deal for a microdermabrasion, made my appt a couple of weeks ago and finally went in today. No one was there. The place wasn't even open. Fortunately, the owner Cyndee called me back 20 minutes after my appt and we rescheduled for later that day. Cyndee was very apologetic and sweet. Not only did she do the microdermabrasion but to make things up to me she also did a deep cleansing.The deep cleansing felt wonderful! The microdermabrasion was very thorough and painless. Afterwards, she put a salicylic acid mask on my T zone and then a Vit C mask on the rest of my face. It tingled and felt so clean afterwards. I was afraid I'd be pressured to purchase their products but nope! She gave me their business card, product brochure and heavily discounted my next visit. I purchased a Groupon certificate for a micro-dermabrasion facial. Cyndee, the owner, made me an appointment for the following day. She was super friendly on the phone and just as much in person. There is ample parking, the office and waiting area is spacious as are the procedure rooms. Cyndee did an amazing job and my skin and face felt so soft and smooth. The products she used were fragrant and top quality brands. She offers other types of facials, waxing and lash extensions. Her pricing for the lashes was much more reasonable that I look forward to returning for another facial as well as eye lash extension. Her pricing for lash extensions and a touch up seem quite reasonable, compared to Amazing Lash Studio which is overprice. Her brochure price list seems reasonable. She did tell me her pricing would be changing in November. She also told me and put in writing that she would honor existing prices for my next facial. I'm always looking for an esthetician that's better than the last and Cyndee is no exception! She's so sweet, kind, and welcoming. She makes sure she addresses all skin concerns and strives to meet skin goals. She also talks through the process to make sure you're informed about what she's doing AND why. This is a long overdue review but I got my lashes done in June right on time for my birthday and the service was so professional! I felt like a princess and their little salon is cute! I asked for dolly lashes and they came out perfect. She told me that my eyelashes were going to last 2-3 weeks but they actually lasted 4 weeks!!
