Oh my goodness! I came here for the first time to get a facial and she removed every single one of my blackheads. The vibe there is so calming, it's best for a self care day for real!! Very Unprofessional. Rescheduled 2 times. I was on time for the consultation and the owner came up with excuses. Least she could do was call me earlier. I think she didn't want another client or god knows whats the reason. She lost a potential client. I rarely purchase Groupon vouchers but was excited to try a facial through this avenue. The price was great, but the service and communication was nonexistent. Following the Groupon instructions, I contacted the number on file. She said she was with a client and instructed me to a website to book the appointment. I booked and she confirmed. I showed up to the appointment 10 min before it was scheduled and texted her 5 min before when there was no one in the lobby. I then called her at the time my scheduled appointment was for and she did not pick up. I texted her again after waiting 15 minutes total asking if she was with a client and that there was no indication of her there. She called me a few minutes later to say that her phone was dead and charging and that she's on her way. I could not wait since I had to get back to work. Although it may be very true that her phone was charging, I don't understand how she could run a business without properly planning for her customers, knowing she had an appointment scheduled. It's not a good look and it wasted my time. I appreciate she was apologetic, but seeing the other reviews here, I'm glad that I didn't waste more time and money by actually getting the services. read more

I found Maria on Groupon. I am so glad that I found her. This was one of the greatest experiences I've had. She is very nice, professional and so sweet. I was so thrilled to find out that she uses the wax that I prefer. I definitely will be coming back to her again. She is so personable and made me feel very comfortable and welcoming. I felt like we had know each other for many years. Overall giving her 5 stars on every category; cleanliness, professional, on time, and personable. If I could rate higher, I would. *note: Maria was a great esthetician when she first started and I agree with many of the great reviews about her. But, over time, as her clientele has grown her work has become unprofessional and inconsistent. For this reason I am posting a review to let people know that the reviews you may see about her now at not as accurate anymore. Maria is a great facialist and a wonderful person. However, I will say that when it comes to being professional she lacks a bit in that department now--she is always late to the scheduled appointments and turns an hour facial into a 45 min session. I can tell that she is often rushing and as a customer that upsets me because I am paying her for her time. In terms of scheduling appointments, you are going to have to chase her down. She does not answer texts or phone calls promptly and you may have to send her three to four texts before you gets back to you about scheduling an appointment with her. When her prices were affordable (lower than her competitors) I did not mind this behavior but now that she has increased the price of her service across the board I find it better to go to another facialist that is prompt and professional. Now as a woman of color or person with sensitive skin, beware because Maria is not gentle. Although her facials are deep, they will leave you with scars for weeks. Also she offers chemical peels and if you are a women of color please stay away from them-- it causes deep hyperpigmentation that does not go away for days and it might be better to get it done by a medical professional instead. Now, in regards to her waxing I will say her job is not clean--what I mean by this is that after her waxing session you will find wax on your body and lots of unwaxed hair. She does not do a good job of waxing all your hair so if you are paying an arm and a leg for her services you want a good job. Also if you want a peaceful session this is not the place to go--the LED lights are blaring and she is always talking to you about politics or things going on in her life. As much as I understand this, I am getting a facial or wax to relax a bit from my day. Sometimes even her son is coming in and out of the room and as a women wrapped only in a towel this made me very uncomfortable. Maria definitely needs to fix how she runs her studio or people will start leaving. As much as I loved her, her price hikes no longer excuse these downfalls and I will be moving on to someone who can provide me better services. read more
