My hubs was hesitant to come back after his last session and especially after my review (he didn't know I was writing) but Elena & Jennifer helped him feel at ease of coming back and making it extremely flexible to rebook an appointment to come back in. Hubs went back to get the much needed deep pressure massage from Jennifer at The Spa Simply Skin. Both Elena and Jennifer were present to greet him. The ambiance of the room was serene as it was before. He keeps telling me about the nice Buddha in the massage room. Jennifer asked if the headrest area was ok was comfortable this time before proceeding. This time she asked about the massage pressure and if it was firm enough. She worked on getting his knots out which was greatly needed. She used a tool on his hands up/down his forearm that he said made him feel really good. He does repetitive work with his hands (handy electrician) and this helped relieve tension. When making the appointment, I explained I was new to getting facials and was so excited to start the process, and even confirmed the appointment 3 times in the last week, once over the phone and twice through the texting confirmation. The morning of my appointment they canceled on me. I understand things happen, however if I were to cancel day of I would be charged an "inconvenience fee" but if they decide to cancel it's just "I apologize for the inconvenience." Due to the limited hours they are open I started work early this morning and have had child care secured for weeks just so I can make it, only to see they have canceled my appointment. What a disappointment, I will not be rebooking and will find somewhere else that will hopefully value my time. What a waste of time, energy and effort on my part. Do better, or have backup providers. Truly a disappointing experience.

After seeing photos from a family event, I knew I needed a refresh!! I initially went in to see what could be done with my neck and loose/sagging skin around my face. The team showed me pictures of certain areas of my face and with Dr. V's recommendation I added the brow lift and I'm extremely happy I did. What stood out to me the most was how Dr. V addressed my every question, concern and detail I mentioned, and that those concerns were taken seriously. The level of attentiveness gave me confidence in making my decision to move forward with the surgery. And the results...absolutely beyond what I had hoped for. Their invoices are not clear, either, so to decipher how many units you actually got is impossible from the invoice alone (previous invoice stated exactly how many units were administered).

Two years ago they established an office in El Dorado Hills and I am so happy. While I did not utilize this location until recently, I am very pleased I took the time and opportunity to walk in in person and talk to Samantha about becoming a regular at this particular site. Samantha and I go way back:-). I met her when the El Dorado Hills Destination Aesthetics first opened. She was the receptionist and esthetician. I had an instant connection with her because of her great customer service, professionalism and I do believe she is an old soul! She is so poised, honest, and gives off awesome vibes. And then I went to Haley for a botox session. Oh my! Best results I have ever had without one little purple or yellow mark. I was impressed with everything about her. Knowledgeable, patient and sincere. Obviously a person who wants to do her very best and it shows. I will follow her anywhere :-). Sarah was at the counter when I arrived and greeted me warmly. So down to earth and what a refreshing change that is. Just good old-fashioned, friendly customer service. Well, I definitely have a dream team right in my back yard for all skin care needs. This appears to be solely for no-shows in which Victoria will charge you. The location is an odd spot but I had no issue finding parking. There are a few designated spots right in front of the building, which is next to a gas station. The building has many other businesses inside. Victoria's suite was clearly labeled. Interior seemed clean and fun with all the pink. She provided a lot of information during the consultation and evaluation of my skin. She also used a lot of analogies to better explain things. She recommended products to use and also sells them. Prices are higher than what I'm used to, but Victoria seems to know her stuff!

There are parking spots right in front so you won't need to park far or search for street parking. It's very calming inside and reminded me of the old Elysium Spa before it closed in Elk Grove. The decorative touches are perfect and really make you feel comfortable when you walk in. A lot of other salon/spas are very commercialized and sometimes you may worry about how clean their tools or facility are. But here, I felt like I was inside a house and everything was so clean and perfectly in place! On top of that Kristy is very sweet and cares for each of her customers. Dr. Angell doesn't care about making money off of you. She cares about your aesthetic goals, and the best way for you to achieve them, even if it would mean a loss for her. I went in initially for a lip flip and forehead Botox, and she essentially said she could do it, but I'd get the best results from a lip lift, which is surgical and permanent. Every other clinic I went to told me that I'd need 4-8 units for the flip and 1.5-2 vials of filler to get the results I wanted, which is just an obvious cash grab. Dr. Angell and her staff actually listened to me, understood what I wanted, and didn't try to oversell me on anything. That was enough to cement that this is the place for me. There are so many other reasons to love this place. The decor is tasteful, it's always clean, the staff is SO nice, and my results are always perfect. I've had issues with Botox migrating in the past, and that has NEVER happened here. I've also never even bruised, even when I decided to dabble in lip filler. It also doesn't feel like you're in a sterile doctor's office (even though you technically are in a doctor's office), and I feel like I'm just talking to my friends. The last thing I'll touch on is my incredibly horrible needle fear. I know it's strange to get injectables when you have a full-blown panic attack getting your flu shot, but I'll tell you, these people take CARE of you. My first appointment, I was literally sweating, crying, and on the edge of passing out, but they literally held my hand throughout and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I know it seems silly, but I've never felt more supported in a medical setting. The laughing gas doesn't hurt either, but I'm so comfortable there now, I don't even need it and don't cry! So, it's a little bit of exposure therapy tossed in as a freebie! I know this is long, but I could seriously go on forever about how amazing this place is. If you try it out, you will end up with amazing NATURAL results. I'll close it off with a story. I seriously won a bet at a dinner party when a gal who was talking about celebrities with cosmetic enhancements said, "Everyone who gets stuff done is so obvious. I can tell immediately." I mentioned that work is only obvious when it's bad, but good work is something you'd never notice. I bet her that she couldn't tell who had gotten anything done at the table. She guessed the people with obvious work, but I wasn't on her list. She said, "You just look young because you have great skin." I literally had to show her my receipts to prove it. Part of me thinks she still doesn't believe it, but that's the kind of practitioner you want in your life.

I left a review on Google and the provider contacted me a month later and called me, but during the call she repeatedly interrupted me and did not seem interested in understanding my concerns. She asked me to send photos and said she would call me back on Monday after reviewing them. I sent the photos as requested and never received a call back. After waiting, I followed up myself. Instead of a phone call or any meaningful discussion, I received a brief message stating: "Thank you for sending your photos. They have been documented and reviewed. No further action is necessary." There was no explanation, no in-person evaluation, no follow-up care offered, and no attempt to address my concerns or provide support after a cosmetic procedure I paid for. Regardless of outcome, patients deserve to be heard, taken seriously, treated with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I would strongly encourage anyone considering RF microneedling or other procedures to carefully consider the level of post-treatment care and support they may receive. This is not how ethical providers handle unhappy RF microneedling outcomes, especially when a patient clearly feels harmed.
