Let me start by saying that we ended up not doing any actual therapy here my review and rating is…read moreentirely related to my experience trying find out if my child needed OT First off, I contacted their office a few days after my doctor had sent over our referral. I was told they didn't have a record of it but would look through the new referrals and if they couldn't find it they would contact our doctor and then call me back. After over a week of not hearing from them I called back. This time the person in charge of referrals was not available, but the person on the phone said they'd have them call me back the next day. Again no call back. The third time I called, there was still no record of our referral and I'm again told that they'll look for it. Finally I get a call, they have the referral. Now I need to fill out the intake form, would I like it emailed or mailed. There is no mention of the fact that they won't even schedule us for an eval until they receive the intake form. So I say mailing it is fine. It's not until a couple of days later when I call back to schedule an appointment that I found out about the intake form. So I wait for it to come in the mail, fill it out and bring it to the office. Before I schedule the evaluation appointment I very specifically asked the front desk person if my child would have to have a full evaluation because she has a very specific issue and 90% of the questions on the intake didn't apply to her as she's behaving in a normal manner for her age, and I knew she didn't need a full eval. I was reassured that the therapist would only test what was needed based on the issues outlined in the intake form which is why they have to have it in advance. THEN I'm told it'll be another 3 weeks before we can get an appointment. So 2 months from the time we were initially referred we finally have an evaluation appointment. We walk in to the office at 8am and there is no one in sight and I have no idea if anyone even knows we're there. After awhile the therapist comes out to talk to me. After asking me a few questions basically tells there isn't really anything they can do from an OT standpoint to help with my daughter's issues but she's going to do a few tests just to make sure, and I'm asked to fill out more paperwork, similar to the intake form which obviously was not reviewed prior to my visit, but in a slightly different format. The therapist then does a full evaluation (exactly what I had made sure wouldn't be needed ) and as expected my child had no issues in any of those areas. So to recap, I spent several hours making phone calls, filling out papers, and taking my 3 kids to an hour long appointment only to be told that they can't help with the issue, that I clearly explained multiple times to them, that my child is having. Basically they wasted my time so that they could have an excuse to bill my insurance. I will say that the therapist was nice and seemed to do a good job. So I guess if you're good at jumping through hoops or are just desperate for someone to help with your kid's issues and therefore willing to do anything to get help (and I've been there and totally get it ) then you might try the Amanda Saliba Pediatric Therapy center, but if you are able to go somewhere else I would highly recommend doing so!

I have been a patient there a few times and oddly enough, the therapist had no recollection of me…read more I understand that they have a lot of patients, but I had been there a number of times within a few years and they couldn't remember me. The first time I went there, Jamie was there and she was great. I didn't know that I would be going there and handed off to new people every time and they would have interns who were there temporarily and each therapist would be working with multiple patients at a time. The individual care is not great. I have a huge problem with one therapist in particular and that's the reason why I'm writing this review. I don't know how she can continue to do what she does and no one else does anything about her behavior. Toni is a very outspoken and unprofessional person who has said things in front of the whole gym that actually made me uncomfortable as a patient. What ultimately made me upset was how she treated me as an individual by telling me that I wasn't really hurting and that I needed to go to therapy because I needed to get over it. When I looked up her training and how long she has been working, I couldn't believe that she had the blind confidence to tell someone twice her age and double her education level and experience that I needed mental therapy for my physical health and pain management! She needs to learn how to manage herself and stick to what she's been trained in at Green River Community College.

And they have a heated pool fir therapy. The therapists, however seem to just put me to whatever they want to just to keep me busy, not to explain why they have me doing certain regiments of exercise and what the benefit of each will produce for my peripheral nueropathy and balance. I had a difficult time getting on a bike because of my mobility limitations and. Instead of getting assistance the therapist watched me struggle to get on the bike. Almost faltering till he finally offered a step stool and his arm to stabilize me. He walked away once I was on and said I had 10 minutes, but someone else would be assisting me once I was done, and he had a timer to be sure other therapist was aware of my time. My timer went off and I kept slowly pedaling for another 5 mins. Before another therapist came to take me to lay on a bed and instructed me to do some leg lifts with a band under my feet for 30 seconds 3 times on each leg. He began visiting with me, and I lost count. He was not really paying attention if I was positioning right and he did not bother timing the lifts either. I caught a cramp in my left leg cause I think I did too many reps while he kept talking asking me general friendly questioms that kept throwing me off count. After that was over he had me do some instructed stretches on each leg He then said another therapist would help me cause he had another client to get. I finished and waited, but needed to use the restroom, so I let a therapist working her computer know who I was and if my new therapist came for me if she could let them know where I was at. I returned and asked if anyone came for me, but she said not that she was aware of. So I proceeded to walt, and wait and wait. My time was up and I was frustrated letting the gal on the computer know I had to go, and I was very upset how much time I waited for no one to come back to complete my alloted time. I asked the kind and helpful ladies up front who I would issue a complaint with and they got one of the initial therapists who helped me to hear why I was upset. He apologized and understood why I was upset and he forgot to come back to me cause of working with another client. The manager there said she could refund my copay or in a few weeks have a check mailed to me cause they could not credit my copay since I laid using a debit card?? On 2 other times they have canceled appointments that I scheduled a month in advance for lack of enough therapists. Love the pool staff, but also have noticed therapists while nice and kind also visit more than instruct or explain benefits of each exercise regiment. My nuerologist wanted me to use his referral preference, but I opted to use them because of the pool therapy and poiximity to my home, but now reconsiderring the recommendation to get hopeful quality care worth my expense and time. herknow that I

I spoke to the Administrator about when I saw at least six staff members parking in front rather than around the back so there was no room for visitors, He was almost rude and pretty much stated it wasn't his problem. Food was less than stellar. They were supposed to take orders so you didn't have to eat the meal of the day, sometimes that happened and sometimes not. Way over salted but when my husband mentioned that he was told they didn't salt anything. Might want change who the food is sourced from. Beds were so uncomfortable according to my husband. Activities were not something most would want to participate in, It was better than some but there is still room for improvement and if the higher staff members don't see a problem then nothing changes

Upon arrival, she was served a meal consisting of a hoagie roll with two very thin slices of turkey, a piece of Kraft cheese cut in half, cold fries, and fruit that was unrecognizable. This raised immediate concerns about basic care and nutrition. The goal of short term rehabilitation is to help patients regain strength, improve their health, and return home to their normal activities. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite. My mother became weaker with each passing day. Given her condition, it should have been immediately clear that she required assistance with basic tasks. However, it took until the following day for staff to recognize that she was unable to feed herself. When assistance was requested for toileting, a CNA stated in front of me that my mother could use her diaper and would be cleaned later. This appeared to be standard practice, as she was frequently left in bed until the afternoon and not regularly assisted to the restroom. As a result, her hygiene declined significantly. A physical therapist later expressed concern about her condition, noting that at 3:30 PM she was still in bed and had not been properly cared for. Communication throughout her stay was extremely poor. There were constant staff changes, and no clear continuity of care. Nursing and physical therapy appeared to operate in separate systems with little coordination. Despite multiple requests, we were never able to speak with a physician at any point during her stay. During this time, my mother developed pneumonia. We have since moved her to another facility. Within the first 30 minutes of her arrival at Orchard Park, she received more care and attention than she did during the entire two weeks at Avamere. I fear for patients who do not have an advocate, as they may be left with little to no care. Overall, the level of care, communication, and coordination fell well below expectations.

They don't make you feel like you're bothering them when you need something. No matter what you are having them do. Cleaning you up, getting ice water, or just opening the blinds. There is 1 nurse on the night shift which is very grouchy and rude. She gets off at 10:30pm and i called to be changed and she said "Your couldn't wait for 10 minutes to push your button. Excuse me if I dont know your schedule and I can't control my bowels. Maybe she shouldn't be taking care of elderly patients.

Caregivers Melinda, Kara and Nurse Stella were great. I expected that as a health service provider, it would be perfume free. However an unusual number of them wore perfume, some very strong. I am allergic to most perfume, so discussed it with the supervisor. She apparently thought I was the only person who was reactive and did nothing. A couple of days later, I smelled her wearing perfume. I was also disappointed there was no decaff coffee. I can't be the only one with high blood pressure. It seems that a healthcare facility should always have decaff for patients.

This place on 176th corner Meridian in Puyallup is only run by PT Aides or assistants. The only…read moreones who will give PT care are the aides. The real PT does not see patients! I was rear ended by a teenager who ran a red light and I had to be seen by a Physical Therapy and was sent to this place as recommended by my chiropractor, but the real licensed physical therapist is not here on a regular basis, most especially when I was assigned to him on specific dates the other week and last week! He did not give me care nor PT instructions! only PT aides and receptionist were available to see patients; that is my sad experience with this PT office. So, do NOT expect to be seen by a PT here for there is NONE! no one who will give you care who is a PT! The only ones who will help you are the PT aides, and it seems that I get NO relief from my back pain after two months of "physical therapy" (or pretend physical therapy) at this place. What a waste of time and money.
