In August I had been rear-ended by a much larger vehicle and had it repaired by a local collision company. After all the repairs were completed, I had Metropolitan Detail put another wrap around all the areas that had to be repaired or replaced. Made my 4Runner look like new again. In late December I accidently rubbed against a large yellow post with my front fender, in a tight parking lot. Lesson learned - do not park near any columns. In January I had Metropolitan Detail buff out the yellow paint and restore the right full fender flare. Since I did not have time to take it to Metropolitan Express beforehand, I was able to have it hand-washed at Metropolitan Detail during the same job. I picked it up on January 13th, and it looked like it just rolled off the show room at the Dealership, but only nicer. Metropolitan Detail does quality work and I continue to go back to them to help me keep my 4Runner in a super nice condition. Thank you, all for taking care of my 2024 4Runner.

They recently installed full PPF on our GR Corolla, and I'm still blown away by the attention to detail in the install. If you're looking for a reputable installer for PPF, ceramic, and tint, this shop is it! Not only do they do a phenomenal job on the install - their "post-install" support is the best I've experienced with any shop. The rental car is the icing on the cake and makes getting work done incredibly convenient.

I brought in my well-kept sedan for an exterior detail quote and received a reasonable price for what will be outstanding work. Also simultaneously my friend dropped off her 34-year-old sports car convertible Collectible for a presale beautification inside and out. The only alternative to avoid the cost would be to pay cold, hard cash. In all my years, a personal check has been regarded as the same as cash for most commercial transactions. Banks don't charge a fee to deposit a check. Depositing a check takes 30 seconds using your phone, so you don't need a trip to the bank or ATM. I was solicited by this vendor yesterday. He was obviously trying to drum up some work. I was quoted a price on the phone to detail both the inside AND outside of my car for about $380.00. The vendor told me on the phone that they could come tomorrow (today) as early as I liked. (Another clue they were desperate for work.) I really should have asked for a discount, but I was thinking about having the car detailed anyway, and this guy said he could show up early the next day. If I had used my regular guy, he would schedule me out for two weeks, but only charge me $350.00 for the same job. Two guys showed up and worked for almost two hours. I would have tipped them if the owner had not charged me an absurd credit card fee, even if I had written a check. How much? Let's see, 380.00 with 10.5% tax should be about $40.00, so $420.00.. Then, tacked on an additional $39.00 ???? Of course, the receipt did not itemize anything and just charged me $459.09 flat. (see image) In all fairness, I was given the option to go to the bank (ATM) and get the cash to avoid this ridiculous fee. But this was a time I could not spare, so I was forced to pay the "transaction fee." So, we start with five stars. They really did a good job, so kudos to the crew, and no deductions there. I have to deduct half a star for not being informed about the CC fee up front prior to booking. Deduct another half star for not apologizing or cutting me a break on the cost. Another half star for wanting to charge me the same for a check (which would have saved him the CC fee) and another half star for my indignation and frustration over the entire issue. So, how many are left now? Three? OK three. If he had dropped the fee for a check, I would have been happy to cut one. Since he wouldn't, I opted to use my AMX card, which charges vendors a larger fee. It's really too bad. I would be writing a five-star rave review right now had I not been gouged. From now on, I will stick to my regular guy even though he's swamped. And for good reason, apparently, he doesn't rook you. It was a 3+ hour job, 90% great work, but there was also a spot where he had burned through the clear coat into the base layer. When I pointed that out he claimed "it was there before and he didn't know what that was"... He also accidentally polished some plastic around the side mirror to high gloss. The base layer can only be fixed with repainting. I'm conflicted about rating this service since the car mostly looked fine, but if 3 stars means 'ok,' and 2 stars means 'could have been better,' I must lean toward the latter because I really would have preferred not to have another runaround to address this damage . He charged me $450 to buff the scratches and apply ceramic to those areas, but no other panels were included. He quoted me $1,200 for a full detail if I wanted that. Well, I skipped the tip option. All in all, this color correction, including the subsequent repair of collateral damage and alternative transportation, ended up costing me ~$1,200.

1/5 - AVOID SEATTLE AUTO PRO AT ALL COSTS…read more This was one of the worst auto repair experiences I've ever had. I took my Lexus to Seattle Auto Pro to fix several cylinder misfires. I came prepared and even brought all 6 spark plugs myself. They inspected the car and then upsold me, telling me I also needed 6 ignition coils from them. I trusted them and agreed to the work. They kept my car from Friday to Monday, then texted me saying the misfires were fixed. Cool. I paid and picked it up thinking the nightmare was over. It wasn't. On the drive home on the freeway, my car started misfiring worse than before. The whole car was shaking uncontrollably and it smelled strongly of unburnt gas. This was honestly scary and felt dangerous. I barely made it home and parked it. When I called the shop to tell them what happened, one of their mechanics, Favian, told me the problem was now the O2 sensor and that I needed to buy one and bring the car back the next day. That made zero sense to me, and at that point I had lost all trust in them. Before taking it anywhere else, I scanned my car. When I originally brought it to Seattle Auto Pro, my Topdon scanner showed 5 trouble codes. After picking it up from them and having it run WAY worse, it now showed 21 codes. That alone tells you how badly they messed things up. I refused to bring it back to Seattle Auto Pro and instead had it towed to another shop I had prior experience with. They diagnosed and fixed the car the same day. They did not upsell me. They told me the O2 sensor had absolutely nothing to do with how the car was running. The real problem? A broken spark plug inside the cylinder -- which is insane considering Seattle Auto Pro had just "replaced" my spark plugs. The second shop was genuinely shocked at the condition my car was in after Seattle Auto Pro worked on it. They fixed it properly, charged me way less, and even gave me a warranty on their work. Seattle Auto Pro gave me a bigger bill and a car that was worse than when I brought it in. This could have been catastrophic for my engine if I had continued driving it or followed their advice and kept throwing random parts at it. Bottom line: Seattle Auto Pro either doesn't know how to properly diagnose cars or doesn't care. They upsell parts, misdiagnose problems, and send you off with an unsafe vehicle. Never, ever take your car here. I will never go back. F*** Favian!

I had a bad experience with another detailer, Madison Detail, and left feeling ripped off. Seattle Detail and tint, however, was on the other end of the spectrum. They have a very professional setup and excellent customer service. I was more than satisfied when I inspected my car, it seemed like they paid extreme attention to detail when washing it. Shout out to Craver for answering all my questions and giving me a 5 star experience. My paint felt smooth and silky to the touch, and they even removed the sticky residue from my interior windshield, which I had just casually mentioned during the initial consult. They told me I could use rubbing alcohol, but I didn't have time to clean it, and to my surprise, that residue was completely gone. The price is pretty reasonable. I did a wash, clay bar, polish and wax and they vacuumed my interior and dressed my tires all for $249. I'm now a lifetime customer and will recommend this place to all my friends and family.
