I'm new to the area and had visited another salon when I first arrived. It was okay but I decided to give Sky Nails a try after reading the reviews and because it is within walking distance from my house. I went in for a fill and a pedi as a walk in. I was greeted warmly and seated for my pedi right away. The tech did a great job even changing the color when I realized I had given him the wrong number off the chart. After the pedi, I was handed off to another tech, Dominic, who did a fantastic job on my fill. Because I'm older my nail beds are thin so using the Dremel can be painful. No pain and my nails look great. A few other observations: The salon was very clean, even the restroom. Every person who came in while I was there was greeted by name. The prices were extremely reasonable, way less than what I pay at home for the same services and they accept Venmo. I will definitely be going back! read more

Without a doubt the worst mani-pedi I have ever had. The pedicure took 10 minutes and that was with a 5 minute soak. She did the manicure from the pedicure chair with no soak for the cuticles. She did both hands from one side. She pulled my arm across my chest to do the other hand from the same spot. The nail clippings were all over my shorts. To top things off she got lotion all over my shorts. I said I had had enough. I saw empty manicure stations. Don't they seat customers in chairs here to do their nails? Horrible!!!! I didn't go to my normal spot United nails in cathedral city because they are closed on Sundays, so I came to this location, the man who did my toes was very sweet but not good at his job he left my toes so uneven and extremely short so I left crying. I called the manager and let him know how bad they where he said he could fix them but boy when I came back he was in a bad mood that he had to fix them then left the big toes even shorter and not the shape I asked for. After that he sent me back to the guy who messed up my nails the first place after I clearly stated I did not want to go to him. Uncomfortably bad service. I went in because it was near by to where I was and took a chance despite the low ratings which was a huge mistake. Not sure if the guy was on drugs or just naturally has a very abrasive demeanor but he felt really erratic. I always get pink with a chrome finish wherever I go and I asked if they were able to do that and he said yes but that it's $10 extra which is normal so I said yes. Even showed an exact reference photo. When it came time to put the chrome finish on it became super obvious he didn't know how to do it. He skipped the coat you put on to get it to stick or you normally can just cure the gel polish partly then you buff the chrome powder on until smooth and mirror like. Super easy, same at every shop I've ever been to. He no joke just tapped a bunch of powder on top of it and didn't even rub it in so there was no chrome finish, it was muddy and splotchy and clumpy. When I tried to tell him before he set it, I just tried to nicely explain that that's not normally how chrome is done and I showed him again the photo of how it's supposed to look and he got defensive and said "well this is how I always do it so" and acted like I was awful for not being happy that they were nothing like what I wanted. It was so bad I kind of teared up honestly because I was so uncomfortable. When he noticed he said "fine I won't charge you for the chrome. But you're lucky I'm giving you a discount because I don't even know you" and then started ranting about how I'm not his family or friend but I'm not getting charged the extra for the chrome powder he messed up AS IF IM SUPPOSED TO BE GRATEFUL that he didn't do my nails at all how I asked. I was just quiet because it was so uncomfortable and I just wanted it to be over. I didn't even ask him for a discount or to fix it or anything at all yet he acted like I was a villain for not being happy despite him very obviously not knowing how to do the thing he said he knew. They were so hideous I went home and immediately filed off all the polish and just re painted them myself. What a waste of $60 read more

I don't usually like to leave bad reviews, but I had the worst and most violating experience I've ever had at a nail salon here and want to want people to be informed about what type of experience they might have before they go. I got a mani/pedi. I'm not sure the name of the tech, but she had glasses and artificial red, shorter hair. Towards the end of my service when she was finishing up my manicure, she turned her cart and I was shocked to see her cell phone propped up on the cart, live-streaming me. I saw my entire body and face on camera on her phone with a green recording light and saw people commenting/liking. I then noticed she had one AirPod in and I believe was listening to people comments or something like that. I felt completely violated and realized I had most likely been on camera the entire time, being live-streamed, without my consent. I unfortunately didn't realize this until she was just about done as her phone was hidden most of the time. She turned the cart around where I couldn't see the screen anymore when I believe she noticed that I had realized I was being filmed. Ready to get out of there as quickly as possible, I picked up my handmade leather sandals that I had just gotten on a recent trip to Greece (and only worn for the second time) only to realize she had spilled some sort of oil/liquid all over the sandals and ruined them (pics attached). I asked her what happened and she scoffed at me, rolled her eyes, and said, "it's only water." Hoping she was correct, and still ready to get out of there as quickly as possible, I just went up and paid so I could leave. I got out cash for a tip and asked for change, but she just took my money, said thanks, and turned around and quickly walked away never to return. It was at this point I finally looked at my nails. They were all jagged and cracked at the ends, uneven, and most of them had huge scratches from being dremmeled incorrectly with only tiny spots of shiny buff here and there. It looked as though I had gone outside and scratched my nails on the concrete to shorten them and they were 10 times worse than when I had come in, just needing my nails trimmed and rebuffed from a previous manicure a week ago. I then noticed my toes were just as bad if not worse, and my feet were bleeding in three different places (see previous pics). I've had a bad manicure here and there where I wasn't super happy and just decided I'd never come back to that place, but this was so horrible I asked to speak with someone. I believe it was the owner or manager that I ended up dealing with who was very nice and did her best to fix my nails for about 20 minutes, but there was only so much she could do because the previous tech had filed everything down so short and jagged. She just kept looking at my nails and saying how sorry she was the whole time. I thanked her for trying to fix them and left, feet still bleeding and pretty shaken up about being live-streamed earlier on who knows what website.... I can confirm that two days later my feet are still very sore and beaten up (and will take a while to heal) and whatever it was that was spilled on my and ruined my brand new custom-made and irreplaceable sandals is still there as there are still huge stains/splotches everywhere. Although the owner/manager was very nice and apologetic and I can't speak to the skills or professionalism of the rest of the employees, I will never be going back here again and I hope my review provides you with the insight needed to make a wise decision if you're thinking about getting service here. read more

Simple as don't come here. 2 stars in generous considering I walked in with an appointment at 3 and didn't get started until 3:30. The lady doing my nails had a bad attitude and roller her eyes after I asked her to be more gentle. I chose the color on the attached photo and got the color on a wonky nail that she didn't file or lay down properly. I swear I am so done with salons doing the worst job possible. 2.5 stars Average at best? Maybe less than average actually. Had a manicure pedicure, choice 3 which included exfoliating scrub and callus removal for the pedicure. Usually, at other nail places, you get a nice massage with the exfoliating scrub. This place, the lady airway it on, did a quick once over that took a few seconds to spread it, and then went for the callus treatment. I was hoping that she would go back to it, but really didn't. Callus treatment did not use the metal scraper or anything, just the scrubber, so I feel like it wasn't very effective. Then the lady put lotion on top of the exfoliating scrub and spread that around, massaged for about a min each leg, and then rinsed off. At other places if you get a scrub that's a massage, and then the lotion is 5 min per leg unless you pay additional. Not so here. You don't get much for the "upgrade." Also, I chose a light color, and they didn't put enough coats for a solid color so that was disappointing. Pedicure 1/5 stars. Manicure was ok, a little rushed (everything was really rushed) but the manicure came out decent. Overall not great and one thing of concern is that the tools didn't come out of a sterile packet. They have barbicide I believe but that's it. Sanitized, but not really sterilized. read more

First the positives: my French gel pedicure looks very good and the price was reasonable at $35. The salon is clean and the staff are professional. It was a Sunday afternoon and I called at 1 pm to see if they had an opening for a gel pedicure. I was told to come at 3 pm which I did but it was still busy. I waited another 15 minutes for them to seat me and another 20 minutes sitting in a chair waiting for someone to start my toes. I understand it was busy and I had chemicals on my toes to get the gel off but it does not take 20 minutes as I get my toes done with gel every month. I finally had to ask the manager or owner if someone was going to work on my toes as I did have an appointment later in the day. He did get someone to work on my gel pedicure immediately. The pedicurist did a thorough job. I left happy. I will come back soon to see if the wait and length of time was chemicals on my toes was a fluke. read more

The guy who did my pedicures as rude, when he was done with each foot every time he would push my foot back with an attitude. (I have knee surgery recently so I definitely didn't appreciate this). The signs they have up for 20.00 card minimum are fails they will make you use there atm and charge you for it. They have no signs up that say cash only. Honestly just poor service. Ive been going here quit a few times and they do a good job, but this time that I went there was a man that I haven't seen before and he was the only one available at the time so I sat down.
