Brought my elderly mother in to have her nails and feet done and everything started ok the nail came over and proceeded to do my mother's nails while in the pedicure chair I was thinking in order to hurry along the process so as the technician was doing my mother's pedicure, he was scrubbing the bottom of her and it was kind of ticklish for her, and instead of waiting until they were done the nail proceeded to train shave down her nails and get them gel this whole experience mother moved and the nail technician had very type yellow and ripped a pretty good size my mother's as I will post pictures of this, causing my mother to get an infection from God knows what was under her nails as she was not wearing any gloves of any sort we waited two weeks went to urgent got antibiotics and proceeded to go back and see if they would please at least refund my mother's money due to the fact we had to come our pocket for urgent care and They acted like the victims like they're a small business and it's not their fault and it was an accident while I know it was an accident and it wasn't malicious. still business and should've taken care of the customer. They didn't no I ever go there no longer my mother ever go there and I will make sure I spread the word that they are garbage workers as they did a crap job on my mom's nails and then up charged her to $75 for nails that cost 25. read more

I just recently moved to the desert and I've been desperately searching for a nail salon that is clean and does good work and this place is NOT IT. I get my nails done like clockwork-- every 10 days for work and my OCD I work in the industry so I know good clean thoughtful work. Staff was very friendly and welcoming but my gel manicure took all about 15 mins to complete and it was gloopy mess and my cuticles were not even addressed (). My pedi was also sloppily painted, toe nails weren't filed smooth and my chronic ingrown right toenail wasn't event dung out. lol read more

Recommended by a friend, I called to make an appointment for a Gel Pedicure and Dip Manicure. Was told they did both. My pedicure was fantastic! I bought the whole works, at $57 and was very satisfied with the service. Once the pedicure was over, the lady who performed the pedicure referred me to a man for my manicure. I told him what I wanted, though I felt he was not really understanding what I said but, thought he'd get the idea when he began removing the Dip product from my past manicure. Once removed, he began trimming my nails so short I complained and he told me, "I make them longer, no worries." I have had 2 previous Dip Manicures and so not overly familiar if this was even possible, so I let him proceed. When he brought out the box of acrylic nails I had my answer. I told him I did not want acrylics several times, then a young woman appeared and I again told her I had spoken to them the day before, asked specifically for Dip Manicure. Neither of them seemed to know what I was talking about! BTW, while having the pedicure, another woman sat beside me and stated she too, wanted a Dip Manicure. Hope she heard my distress and avoided the same mishap. I left with nubs for nails and was charged $90. I was so upset I didn't pay attention to the bill till I got home. The fancy pedicure was $57; a simple removal of Dip nails and a nail shaping was $33? I left feeling very disappointed and over-charged. read more

Gross, gross, gross, gross.. ugh I'm literally in fear of getting nail fungus. I am currently on my way to target to see if there is something I can get to sanitize my nails. All I wanted was a gel removal. These people could barely accomplish that. They are not supplied with the tools to do so. If they come near you with a red pod for gel removal, RUN!!! They share it amongst each other (literally passed it to another person without sanitation right in front of me. I paid 21 dollars for removal of a top coat of gel, I still have clear gel on my nails because they didn't actually remove the entire gel manicure they only were able to get the color off. GET SUPPLIES. KEEP UP WITH MINIMAL HEALTH STANDARDS. I would absolutely never recommend. Waste of time and money as I'm literally on my way to target so I can do it myself. read more

I have come to this nail salon many times over the years. I have always received a warm welcome and a very nice pedicure. They use plastic bags in the basins and are very good at what they do. My complaint is regarding the young man who gave me my pedicure - again - it was a wonderful pedi - BUT he kept sniffing his nose - his mask was not covering his entire nose. He left twice to go sneeze (grateful that he didn't do it right in front of me) but he continued to have a very drippy, snotty nose the entire time. I understand that we are in the desert and people have allergies - but there's also Covid and to have someone with a mask that keeps falling down while working in a close proximity service industry - this is not acceptable! He either needs to get some really good allergy medicine or not do this service. Luckily I have already received both of my vaccines, but I couldn't get out of there quick enough and unfortunately I won't be going back. read more

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the welcoming faces of the staff here at Vinny's Nail spa. I was seated right away on a Friday morning; The technician could tell this was my first time receiving a pedicure and was extremely professional " like not answering her phone when she received a call during the process", very sweet and extremely gentle. The establishment was very clean and all the staff had genuine friendly smiles on their faces. I recommend the deluxe pedicure which included a leg scrub that was absolutely amazing and hot stone massage that was wonderful. I have come here the past few years when I am in town for the season, today reminded me why I don't come here anymore. The manicurist who did my nails took enough cuticle off, 3 of my nails began to bleed, IT HuRTs!!!!! She continued and spray alcohol as though it wouldn't sting, even after I made it very apparent that she had hacked away at my cuticle, is she nuts! I hope their tools are truly clean I will be pissed if I get an infection. I get a mani every week so there is no reason to have clipped away that much. Not too mention the polish job was horrible and went home and applied my own top coat in hopes that it would make it look better. Their overprice and I got overcharged. I had 2 kids with me and they charged me full price (adult) when it said on the menu they gave me 12 and under $25. read more

Really 3.5, but I'm being generous. I made an appointment for 6p, and yes, they close @ 7. Needed a gel take off and redo and pedi. I've tried a few places in the valley that have been pretty bad. So I was hoping by the reviews of this place, I could give it 5 stars.. Walked in and was seated right away. Picked out my color, white and told them I was getting a French gel Mani. Tons of great colors tho! Michael, super nice and very professional, does my pedi. I opted for the $32 pedi with scrub and mask, although the $22 basic probably woulda been just fine. I think both come with the hot stone massage mmm.. Kevin did my Mani ($37, French gel). He proceeded to take off my gel with the tool instead of pure acetone. I asked him for the acetone, which he gave me but still used the tool. Annoyed. Then while cutting my cuticles he cut me! There was blood! I asked him to fix it, he did. On to the polish... Doesn't look bad from far away, but the lines on the tip are a tad uneven.. I'm wondering if he was in a rush or more interested in flirting with the cute, young nail tech. When done, he says, ok you can go now lol.. It was too funny but not cool. I get it, it was 7p on a Friday... But Sheesh! I'll probably go back just for Michael. Another tech, Ann was nice too. I called last Saturday around noon and was told they had time for a regular manicure so I came in. They set me in a pedicure chair and one person started to soak my nails. Then another client came in and that woman left me and gestured to another woman to go work on my nails. That woman almost got over to me when they went outside and got a man to come in and take over. He was pleasant enough but I was disappointed that he did not get my nails straight and I noticed after he had finished that he had not cleaned out under my nails. So, although my nails were not dirty when I came in by the time they got done filing them I had debris under my nails. So I sat for about 15 minutes to let me nails dry and then I went to my car waited as long as I could before my social engagement to stop in a restroom and wash under my nails. My nails were dry enough to withstand the hand wash. $18 Regular manicure with a $5 tip. read more

Horrible place to get my nails done. I was here many years ago they were rude sloppy and I decided maybe I'll try them again, since someone recommended them maybe they changed staff or something. I went in and talked to the gentleman had a real simple design that I wanted on to Nails he said he could do it when it came time to do it he said he couldn't . He was ok he didn't do a great job I know he tried, then the female decided to butt in and just started on my nails really hard in with an attitude and they were uneven I did let her know they were not even if she could please even them out, she gave me a look to kill . Very RUDE and unprofessional. He just kept defending her he said she was tired or maybe had a bad day. You don't treat customers with rudeness and disrespect and you do not give them dirty looks to kill. I did let her know she was being rude all she kept doing from another room while she was waxing talking to the gentleman in their language which I find it rude when you're yelling back-and-forth in a professional environment where she could just speak to me. I will never be back to this place and I do not recommend this place at all it only gave it a one star because I Didn't have any other options. read more

When I got there 5 minutes early for my appointment, the man who helped me was on the phone. He stayed on the phone after starting on my nails until he had to step away to finish his call. The lady who helped me in his place asked what I wanted. I had brought a reference picture (pic 1) and when I showed her she had told me no, that people don't get one bright color into another; only pink to white, or pink to pink or something. She told me to get on Pinterest to find an ombré I liked even though I already had what I wanted. She then pulled up the salons Instagram to show me ombrés they'd done before. She pulled up a picture of something very similar to what I wanted (pic 2) and then finally gave in to my request. The first man came back to finish and even he cringed a bit at the thought of doing the two colors I wanted. He ended up doing a good job though he left my nails a little messy underneath. It was overall a frustrating experience. Though i appreciated the effort put in by the gentleman who did my nails. read more

I truly can't say enough about Jenny and the team at Vinny Nails - I am a regular customer who has been visiting this location now for over a year. The salon is beautiful, sparkling clean, and recently updated. Jenny stays on top of nail trends, regularly updating colors in basic polish, gel and dip options, and beyond that, she is exceptionally skilled in the art of lash extension applications and a wide variety of other facial treatments. I found Jenny and her team from a word of mouth tip, who told me that she was "The Best Kept Secret in the Desert" - but it seems like the word is out! I'm just super happy that I followed up on that tip. I have also received mani/pedis from Kevin and Ann, and I always get so many compliments on my lashes and my nails while I'm at work, or out and about. What's more, everyone at Vinny Nails is incredibly attentive and responsive to every request I've ever made. I have never left feeling anything other than thrilled with my results. To respond to "Rosio I." who left a one star review below mine, I would just like to state that I was actually in the salon the day that her visit took place. I was in the back room having a lash fill, and I overheard the entire exchange. Rosio began her visit by badmouthing practically every other nail salon across the entire desert, and then began barking demands for "square, no round, no, square, no, round!" nails. It was so bizarre. She seemed like she just wanted to avoid paying for her services by pretending to be dissatisfied no matter how her needs were addressed. The final straw for me was when she began making very thinly veiled hostile, racist remarks to the staff involving language. She was really ugly and vile about it. I wish I would have gone up front and said something at the time. Honestly, people - your nail technicians are not your servants, they are skilled professionals who deserve to be treated with respect. Perhaps if Rosio could learn a couple lessons about good manners and respect for others, she might not have such an impossible time getting her nails done. read more

My friend recommended me to Jenny so I called beforehand to see if she was able to do a fullset acrylic nails, she said yes and I said ok be there in 12 mins! When I got there another man began to do my nails and I said I thought Jenny was supposed to do my nails, then he asked her and she said no! Whatever, I let him do my nails either way. I specifically told him I like my nails natural and thin. My nails are still on the thicker side. He was very nice but I wasn't amazed with his work. He recommended me a pedicure and he said they give the best massages unlike other places that barely massage and the other man that did my pedicure did the bare minimum! He barely even scrubbed my soles. I go to a specific place for a pedicure that is $23 and this place charges $25 for a regular. Definitely not worth it. When it was time to pay they charged me $43 dollars for a simple square one color with glitter short fullset! I come on yelp and Jenny answered questions to prices saying simple fullsets are $32! Are you kidding me? Don't waste your money unless you want to get ripped off! I could only say I liked that they had a wide variety of colors. I honestly never write reviews but definitely felt the need to express my disappointment with this nail spa. I recently moved into the area and it was around the corner from me so I called yesterday for an appointment. I was told I could come at 12:30 for a pedicure. I arrived on time, was put in a chair to soak while waiting. Obviously they were too busy to honor my appointment time, after 20 minutes of waiting I was told it would be another 10 minutes to which I complained, mentioning that I had a busy schedule therefore I'd booked the appointment at 12:30. Almost immediately they were then able to pull a technician who was working on another patron. I chose the $40 pedicure which includes callus removal and informed Michael that I had a bad ingrown. He worked a little on that toe and I thought he'd removed it but wondered why I didn't feel the pain usually associated with having that procedure done. The pedicure was quick and not very thorough. He started working on the bottoms of my feet immediately after applying the callus remover gel. It was not left on my feet for any length of time, also there was very little time spent on callus removal process. I'd also like to add that the temperature was warm in the salon, despite 95° outside, the door was wide open and multiple ceiling fans were running, I was uncomfortably warm. When I got home I noticed there was a smudge of polish on one of my toes as well as several of the cuticles. Also, toenails were not filed smooth, evenly. Despite the callus removal and sugar scrub my feet did not feel at all soft. AND, sure enough, I soon realized that the ingrown nail was still there in my big toe and painful! I just got through with the painful process of removing the ingrown nail which is what prompted me to write this. So including the tip, 50 bucks. Again, I don't write reviews but I won't be going back. Waste of time and money. read more

After reading other Yelp reviews I decided I had to try this place myself. I'm so glad I did. I come to the desert a couple of times a year and invariably need to get my nails done. After many mediocre and somewhat substandard experiences I happy to report my experience at Vinny Nail & Spa was awesome. The salon was spacious and clean. I was greeted by Cesar offer some bottled water and lead to my pedicure massage chair. It was a great pedicure that included a hot rock massage. Tina who did my gel nail manicure took great care in making sure I was happy with the results. I don't think I've ever had a better paint job as she helped mix colors to get me the exact color I was after. My nail tips we carefully painted as well. I was so pleased that I asked about their other services and ended up having Tina wax my brows. She did a great job shaping them. The salon has only been open a year an a half and I hope will be here for many years to come. read more
