Don't come here if you want to be laughed at for simply asking for a top coat. My regular nail tech had forgotten to put the rest of my top coat gel for reasons, and I had noticed when I was driving back to my house. I decided to go here since I've been here before(PEDICURE), and I simply explained my situation they told me it would be $10 I said perfect! Didn't think this situation would be weird at all considering this establishment has many services not just acrylic and pedicures. This women started coming up and I already knew she was gonna ask questions and I answered, she then starts speaking in her language and all of them are laughing which I found uncomfortable. It shouldn't matter if I go to a nail tech and come to your establishment to get something fixed. It's just like if someone's hair needed fixing so they went to a hairstylist. This made me extremely uncomfortable which made me want to write this review, Zen 2 Nails make sure yall talk shit when the person leaves not right in front of them thank you. *There has been multiple reviews regarding their disgusting behavior. I've been to MANY nails salons and I would put this one on my top three WORST experiences. I came in looking for a full acrylic pedicure. I had already had acrylic on my toes prior so I needed a removal before called in ask for a price they said an extra 10 for removal (fine by me). As i'm getting my pedi I noticed she's not doing a soak off and she's just using the drill. She ends up breaking my big toenail so I asked her to do a soak off (which makes her upset). She starts the soak off on my big toe and continues to drill the others to the point she OVER drills damaging my nail plate. After the first foot I told her I don't want to get a full pedicure anymore just do the removal (I had been in the chair for 45 min at this point). She gets to the other foot and she didn't care about really removing anything at this point and cuts me DEEP with the drill. It's bleeding non stop and she keeps patting it with a cotton ball and it keeps soaking through. SHE THEN TAKES ACRYLIC POWDER AND PUTS IT ON MY CUT!! I know some salons use a medical powder for cuts to stop bleeding but that's not what she used!! It was burning my toe to the point it started throbbing. After everything when it came to checkout they upcharged me 20 dollars. 15 for removal and 5 for the water they soaked my feet in when I didn't even get clipped toenails or lotion after the soak. Never again. BEWARE of this place UPDATE: Since the owner responded (using same generic response she uses with all bad reviews) I wanted to shed light on the fact that she was there at the time of this incident and yelled at me when I had said they were up-charging. Honestly the best nail salon Ive found in California since I moved here 5 years ago. I repeatedly go get special pedicures and they rush me out, barely massage or give my feet attention and then drop near $100 it is so infuriating. Then I tried this place and the man who did my pedicure took his time and it was literal perfection. So many additional luxury touches like the weighted shoulder pads, massage time where they actual massage and use pressure points to ease pain. Let me start by saying I'm the pickiest person ever and went to 12 different nail salons in the area before committing to Zen 2 Nails. That being said, after I moved here 5 years ago I left LA and the hope of ever finding the quality of salons until I came here. I even took notes on every salon in town, you name it...I tried it and after giving each one 2 chances (some 1 because of making me either bleed so badly or way too expensive), this was the only one I've been going to consistently now for 4 years. The salon is clean, quiet and every technician is kind and efficient and does a great job. The two that I consistently go to are Jeanie for gel nails and Helen for pedicure. Helen even makes sure that she is so careful with my ingrown nails that have always been so painful and horrible to me and never hurts me or leaves me in any pain. Jeanie's gel nails last me 3 weeks easily. It's clean and well taken care of with tons of options for nail colors and services! My little daughter even comes with me sometimes and loves Koko and Vanna who are patient with her and do a great job! You can't go wrong coming here and honestly won't be disappointed! My suggestion is to book online! They even text you to remind you of appt and make it easy to cancel or switch days etc. Don't waste your time, money or sanity trying a million places if you want a good, affordable clean salon this is it! read more

Yes yes yes!!! Came in for a pedicure after booking online and so very glad I did! I got the spa pedicure with added massage time; at first, I was concerned the pressure wasn't tough like I'm used to but it did not need to be! My feet felt so amazing for the next few days, like she removed some unknown internal knot that must've been bothering me. It was quick in time but not rushed which made it even more pleasant. I can't remember the woman's name (truly wish I could), however, she was the older one in the crowd and clearly experienced. I didn't have to talk, though I did chat up another woman from Alaska visiting. My feet hadn't had a pedicure in a while and went from boots (Alaska) to flip flops on desert grounds and we're not so great until I left there. Made an appointment for a set of "dipped" nails. I am a newbie and I've admired them on friends. The technician was not the most pleasant and continued to text her family the entire time. Not that I need a full conversation but, be somewhat present...sheesh. She "handled" me by pushing and pulling my hands in whatever position she needed. I had initially requested they not be too long, as I needed to adapt to using my laptop and other tasks throughout my daily life. She was a bit short when explaining that she "could always take away but not add" so she would leave them longer in the beginning. When she completed the filing and shortening stage, I asked if that would be the final length...she became irritated and asked, "still too long?" I said, "just a little, could we perhaps shorten them a bit?" She asked, "which one?" As if only 1 or 2 nails needed shortening. It was obvious that she was pressured to get to the next client, so I pointed out the 3 nails that were visually too long and figured I'd do the rest at home. Once home, I realized I had a LOT of correcting to do. Too long, too wide, too thick. At a quick glance, yes, I have nails on and they are a great color. But let's be honest ladies...once we get our mani's, we like to make sure they look good! This is not an inexpensive treat, so it would be great if I didn't have to do half the work! read more

The woman who did my mani/pedi dug her nails into every n single nail multiple times when polishing hands & feet. I should have asked her to stop but didn't want to be THAT CUSTOMER. Not a hygenic way to do nails - use a tool! And even with that, I still have polish on skin with every nail. $22 for a manicure that didnt even use soap in the soak and $33 for a regular pedicure. I had the $60.00 collagen pedicure. My feet hit the foot bath at 1:32 and my pedicure was over with polish on by 2:16. Although it was a nice pedicure I don't feel it was worth the money. I made an appointment for a regular manicure and a gel pedicure. I picked out the colors I wanted. First, he did not cut my toenails short enough I brought this to his attention and he proceeded to file. The pedicure color was a rich coral. When he applied it, the color was very light. The girl sitting next to him suggested another color with a sparkly top coat. It was not what I was wanting Then the girl started my manicure. She suggested a different color then the one I selected. It was a very opaque color. Within 2 days it was chipped off. Then my two big toes were hurting because they weren't cut short. Out of frustration I cut them myself. Of course, that chipped the polish. I called to have this fixed. They told me to come in and they would fix. When I arrived she told me to pick the color. Number 1, I didn't know the color since it was not the one I originally selected. I said I wanted a different color. She proceeded with removing the old polish, etc. She was very unfriendly, by the way. After finishing I asked what I owed her figuring it would be no charge, and I was prepared to give her a tip. She said $25.00. I said what the heck, this was not my fault. Another technician, I presume the owner, said because I changed the color there was a polish change charge. WHAT??? They had to remove the old polish anyway. I said I won't be back. Very horrible customer service. Very bad attitudes. Talking in their native language and laughing. Terrible experience read more
