What can I say this place is THE BEST! First let me start off by saying the owner is an absolute sweetheart. I found this place 4 years ago when I moved from Miami, I was looking for a place that did 3D nail art. I found Sky Nails on yelp and tried them out and have been hooked ever since. I even moved to Antioch for almost 2 year and still would drive to see do my nails here because I love and trust them so much. EMILY is THE BEST! I have been to over 100 nail shops in my lifetime. I love nail art and I am always trying new talent. There is no one out there like Emily. She can hand paint ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING on your nails. There has been no nail design on Pinterest that I can bring her and she cant do. She has no much patience and the steadiest hands. She will draw every detail possible and she takes pride in her work. I recommend EVERYONE I meet Sky Nails. I have brought so many new customers I am their walking billboard. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Yes they can get busy at times, you may wait a few minutes past your appointment (its understandable) but I promise you that when it is your turn you will be treated well, have great nails at the end and they will take their time with their work. I have had a full set last me up to 8 weeks without not one nail lifting or breaking. I have friends that now drive from Concord just to see my girl Emily. The pedicures are to die for. There is NO PLACE that charges $25 for a pedicure with hot stone massage and paraffin treatment included in the price. I went here before a party to get the works done.. I was very happy with my pedi and eyebrows.. But the full set the GUY put on was terrible.. They were crooked and I didn't have time to have them taken off and redone so the next day I went in to have them taken off and they actually charged me for it.. I was very disappointed.. This has been my go-to place for a while. I hadnt noticed them until one day I wad going to the salvation army and I saw their 20% off banner advertised. Everyone that works there is fabulous. I mean just absolutely amazing. Super clean and precise. Last night I went in for a mani/pedi by henry and he always does an amazing job. Great massage and such a perfectionist! You know you're getting a good service when you go to other shops and you're wishing you had gone to sky nails. Henry also does amazing designs! Not just your typical nail salon stripes and lines but really cool stuff a la wah nails (if you're not familiar, google it! You'll be amazed!!) overall just an amazing shop and great atmosphere. Well I made an appointment for three people to get mani pedi. We got there ten minutes before appointment and still had to wait. Which I do not mind. Then two of us sat down and they waited 25 minutes before anyone started to help them. This place does this all the time and their not even that good. So after reading the Yelp reviews I thought Id try a new place. I went in to get a gel fill and a pedicure. One thing that really bothered me is the way the nail technicians hopped around from customer to customer. Why did three people give me a pedicure? I didnt know who to tip and I wasnt about to give 3 tips to 3 ladies who did a 1 person job. Another thing I absolutely hated was the way the woman who did my nails was fighting me on what I wanted. She wanted the shape of my nails pointier than what i usually get, she wanted to use silver for my nail design and when i told her i wanted color she huffed and puffed. Then, she told me she was doing two nails on each hand when i asked her to do one on each. Why should I have to argue with a service Im paying for?!? AND THEN! She didnt even let the gel dry all the way! Now, the only reason i know this is because two days later my nail polish chipped, and because i was going on vacation i went back to get it taken care of. As she was filing down the polish she could see underneath that it was never dry all the way. I would have fixed my other nails but i simply didnt have the time, and I had already paid them once. All my nails look bumpy. So beware, (apparently black and white polish take longer to dry) Oh yeah, also got my brows done when I got my nail fixed. Shitty job. Thats all i have to say. read more

I walked in on a Thursday around 3:30pm and got seated right away. I had 2 ladies help me. The younger one spoke better English but the older one did more of the work. It didn't matter. I didn't think much communication was needed. I told them I wanted a pedicure, no one tried to up sell me a mani/pedi. I picked a color off of their wall and she went to work on my feet. The massage felt good, the hot stones were interesting but kind of whatever, but the parafilm wax was amazing. I can't remember exactly how much I paid. I want to say $22 which is pretty fair for like an hour of work. They gave me a frequent flyer card at the end. If I purchase 10 services that are more than $20, I get $5 off at the next visit. They do a really good job at doing your nails/toes as far as not rushing & using a paint brush to clean it up. Hot stones are nice too. I got a gel manicure & their deluxe pedicure with the 20 minute foot massage (as advertised) Wow, the lady was horrible with the foot massage. I was wondering within the first 5 minutes like "geez, when will this be over?" Such a waste. Me not liking to be mean to people of course tipped her 20%. Honestly, it breaks my heart to have to update everybody on my used to be favorite nail salon but it is just not up to par anymore. I used to come once or twice a month with my mom ever since they opened years ago. I even brought family members, girlfriends and my boyfriend but it's just not the same anymore. They are so money hungry that they over book the appointments and when they do get to you, the whole experience feels rushed. The last three times I felt uncomfortable and the environment was just tense because there were customers who were waiting way past the appointment times that they made, the phone was constantly ringing without it being picked up and the service just wasn't as attentive as it used to be. Even though my nails looked ok, I rather go somewhere with a great nail experience and ok paint job. We all work hard for our money and even though we may think getting our nails done is part of the norm, it's a luxury that all of us deserve and rightfully pay for. I used to love this place and I don't appreciate not having our business appreciated. It's a local business who should appreciate the local customers. I hope you find a better place to work at Emily! If I could rate zero stars I would! I've come here a few times with no problems except the waiting a little while, but today was a huge disgrace. Did a regular pedi and a gel mani and it looks like a little kid did it. What the hell! Toes are not filed right (crooked) and this older lady took more than 2 hours on my pedi. I dont know why it took so long because it's all jacked up. Looks worse than what I came in with. She messed up the color while putting on my flip flops so she touched it up sloppy and even got color on my foot which she didnt clean off. Gel pedi was so so. She missed some spots. And I went in with my niece to get her a simple mani and at the end she said "can you just color her nails on your own because I dont have time." Me and my mother have gone here many times and at first were excited about the pedicure process they use. They massage your legs with hot stones, put your feet in wax bags and put hot towels on your legs. The calf and foot massage is mediocre at best. They sort of just run their hand over your leg repeatedly, not much pressure at all, so I wouldn't exactly call it a massage. Also, their organization is horrible. We called for a 2 people pedicure and I started at least 20 minutes before my mother, so she sat in her water for that long and it got cold. Then, I finished long before her. Her pedicurist took another client while in the middle of doing my mother's toes and she then had to sit there for another 15 minutes. meanwhile I had been done for at least 20. In total, we were there for about an hour and 20 minutes when the actual pedicure take around 35 minutes. Also, they barely speak any english and it is all very uncomfortable. Even if I wanted to complain to them or ask for a different experience, they would be unable to understand what I was asking for. Don't come here. read more

I had been here once before years ago and got a full set. I left unsatisfied because there were soooo many bubbles in my shellac! Never went back...until yesterday. I thought I would give them another chance as they are so close to my new home. I made an appointment for 5:30 for a full set. I walked in and two girls looked at me like I was serving them divorce papers. When they finally decided to stop giving me dirty looks they said it would be a bit. I waited for about ten minutes, no big deal. I sat down and from the other reviews and pictures it looks like Emily was the one i dealt with. She was very quiet but whatever I thought maybe she was over it, I was clearly the last appointment of the day. Again, I wasn't concerned I just wanted a good full set not a social visit. She works on me for about 10 minutes then says she is going to be back. She goes and finishes two other people while I wait and listen to the inapproriate music they have on. I sat there thinking I should run but she had already glued the nails. I was stuck. I wait and wait and wait. When she is finally done helping everyone else she comes back to me. Then the worst part of my experience happens... SHE PICKS HER NOSE RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE while she is holding one of my hands. This place is awesome!!! I had a problem at another nail salon and the ladies at Sky fixed my nails and were sooooooooo incredibly nice about it. They had a half hour til close and still fixed them! I made an appointment and went back in this morning I am totally impressed by the ability of the nail techs! I brought a picture of what I wanted and she did it! Love these ladies!!! Based on the pedi I got I would give them 3.5 stars, it was good, it's just that I am picky, and my regular nail salon does a really nice job, but I didn't feel like driving to the Crocker-Amazon neighborhood in SF. I called ahead and they said they were free, I went and they helped me right away. They don't have a lot of nail colors, but I don't mind since I usually go for the French pedi. For the price, the treatments included in the pedi are great:pedi, regular wash/brush, cuticle cleaning etc, warm lotion foot massage, hot stone foot massage, warm towels, and paraffin. Since this was my first time, I was not totally relaxed, I was waiting for something to go wrong, but towards the end I was impressed. I appreciate their private 2 hr parking lot, there is plenty of street parking as well. I also got my eyebrows waxed and found their price very competitive. I would go back to this place. read more

I've been here 3-4 times now and they are consistent with their services! I have yet to get my mani by the famous Emily, but all the girls are really sweet and do a great job! The place itself is a little run down. Massage chairs barely work and are SUPER loud. If you can get passed that, you'll love it here!! Overall I have had good experiences at this nail salon. I love the pedicure process. Hot stones- nice massage & warm wax. However the nail polish I've noticed is a little on the chunky side. Like it's been sitting to long. Gel manicure was great & has held up well! A good variety of colors! My only complaint is that I always have multiple women working on me at the same time. Just literally left this place. Went from being excited that I was finally gonna relax and get pampered to just plain irritated and upset. Let me back track to 1:30 this afternoon when I called in to make an appointment for two for manicures and a pedi. Here what I thought was gonna be smooth sailing walking in and getting pampered turned into walking out fuming. Not only did I walk in and not get greeted by anyone but I was looked at by more than one employee with not even a "hello" mind you I was sitting there for about 15 min before my appointment. I understand it must be frustrating when your getting clients back to back but that's a business. When it turned 4 I decided to get up and say something as I told the lady doing some other girls nails who had just walked in she said " ohh I'm sorry were busy and I didn't see you walk in" I'm sure you didn't lady but 2-3 of the other employees did. I just simply turned around and walked out probably one of the worst customer service I have received from them. And yes I have came here plenty times and it saddens me to say I will never return and or recommend any of my friends or family. After going there for so long I would at least expect a simple "hello we'll be right with you". Man customer service now in days doesn't mean a thing to people. Ladies and by this I mean everything working there word of advice you should also have someone greeting your guest and know that if there is not enough time in the day to assist everyone it's ok to say no! So let me start by saying ..I am one of the pickiest people when it comes to my nails ....so by saying that hopefully you can follow trend ...I use to go to a place in San mateo which was my TO GO place and to me the best ...but you also pay for what you get ..they were on the pricey side and they started nit picking every penny so I was a little turned off and being a 8 year customer. ..ok so I moved and now I went to a place in Millbrae tried them out for about 6 months they were all nice ..sweethearts but my nail polish kept chipping and I kept going back ..oh by the way I only do shellac ...so it was a pain and my nails kept breaking with them and I never had a problem with the other place...soooooo leads me to this place. ...so there were mixed reviews here but my daughter swore by this place knowing how I am ...I bit the bullet and came in ...I did a pedi and a mani shellac and well ..guess what they are GREAT! I asked them and explained what I like and they did it ...and gave me some tips (advise)....the pedi was nice and they used the hot stones and they also used parefin which was part of the pedi ..WOW! ...I had to pay an arm and a leg for that before. ..so guess what they have a new customer. ..I met Jojo and lisa and Emily all very nice....happy customer. read more

I really like this place, but they do tend to be very busy so I would make an appointment even though they take walk ins. Tam is the owner, and is very nice. She makes suggestions about what is best for your nails, not what will make her the most money. I used to get acrylics done here, and they were very nicely done. But I got tired of them after having them for over 2 years and took them off. I came in to get a Shellac manicure, and my nails were very thin and short because of having the acrylics on for so long. Tam did my Shellac and really took her time. She told me next time to not get any paint on my nails at all and just to let them get healthy. The REGULAR spa pedicure here includes parafin wax for your feet and a hot stone massage. I don't know any other place that includes that for around $25. They take credit cards but prefer cash and if you pay a certain number of times in cash they give you a coupon for like $5 off your next service. read more

Easily one of the beat pedicures I've ever had. Everyone is kind and the place is clean. Not only is the pedicure great, but you get a nice rub down with hot rocks and also get to let your feet soak in hot wax leaving them SUPER soft for quite a long time after.
