I have gone to Sky Nails for the past few years, I go every other weekend. My past 2 visits I had requested a new full set of acrylic nails. In which I was refused. After my last visit 4 nails have lifted leaving my fingers to bleed and be in a lot of pain. Not to mention I also dropped nearly $150.00. I will no longer be going to Sky Nails. This is totally uncalled for! This should have never happened either. It is also not the 1st time I have had issues with this nail salon. I have gone to Sky several times and had a really good experience. Today I had a bad one... granted I was in a rush and asked to be in and out in an hour but what happened is not ok. The woman with glasses who did my nails kept chopping them shorter and shorter - doing a weird technique where she put my hands under lights after polishing each nail. There was polish on my skin, the nails are not even or straight across - and this is the result after I complained to her and asked her to fix it... my toes were done my someone else and there were no issues. The manager came over to see what she was doing after I asked her to fix them and there was no conversation with me. Then I got charged full price! There are some great people working here but today I had a really bad experience. My nails are super short, uneven and now I need to try to fix them up some more when I get home... what a rip off! I want to give this place another shot and be more careful with the person they assign me to but I'm not sure I want to take the gamble... read more

I just got my nails done here at sky nails in . The girl doing my nails was in such a rush and was aggressive when filing. Then after all the filing I washed my hands and she filed some more and then to paint them. I pointed out that there are dust pieces bubbles in my nail polish. She tried to just put three more layers of nail polish on. Then I still pointed it out and she got all mad and spoke in her language and took the nail polish off one nail. My nails look horrible and she knew I wasn't happy but she was rushing to get to the next person. She told me in the beginning if I didn't like something to let her know because she wanted me to keep on coming back. But when I with her my concerns she just got angry and dismissed them. I usually go to Lux nails and I am very happy with them, but I just wanted to get in and Lux nails didn't have an appointment. I am not one to write a negative review but I was very disappointed and how I was treated and now I'm gonna have to find somewhere else to fix my nails. Learn from my mistake and don't go there. Everyone was very sweet upon arrival. No issues there. I can't speak for everyone but Helen did my nails. The setup was very unprofessional, had my arm resting on a pencil box and got the acrylic all over my hands. Still picking it off a day later. When she was drilling she was continuously running over the tips of my fingers which hurt very bad. Four of them are rubbed raw, all of them are sore and one was cut open and bleeding halfway through. There are gaps in the paint (got french tips) and the lines on my thumbs aren't straight at all. More wavy. The paint is on my fingers as well. Still was charged full price and didn't receive any type of discount regardless of the fact that I was bleeding. Felt unsanitary at her station. Also after she realized I was bleeding she did say sorry but kinda brushed it off and continued to put different products on my nails and directly in the cut which burned and stung terribly. I let my daughter go into Sky nails with her friends. She had been saving up to get her nails done and was so excited. She was charged $82 for a full set. She was told because she was asking them to keep the acrylic thin and not thick and chunky that it was another $10. It says something about the integrity of taking money from a 11 year old. They continue to nickel and dime you. I was charged an extra $ for the shape. They are by far the most expensive location in Woodbury. read more

They are professional and attentive. Thuy is my favorite. She does quality work every time. This is a must do if you're in the area and worth the drive if you're not. Just finishing up a Nu-Skin pedicure with my favorite nail technician!! It is awesome. This pedicure goes beyond the deluxe and is well worth it. I am so relaxed and my legs and feet have "new skin!" The people here are extremely rude. I let my daughter go here to get her nails and toes done and they did a horrible job. Not to say they kept trying to charge her extra of stuff. This place is also very expensive in its self. My daughter's pedicure had chipped only shortly after she got it done. I've been getting my nails done here every 3-4 weeks for about 6 months now. I can say that with the exception of one nail tech, I have not had consistent quality work once. Either bumpy finish, polish outside of the actual nail, inconsistent shape, or peeling polish/top coat on a gel/dip manicure. For a dip manicure, there is no care of cuticles or nail, just polish change. And you're getting glitter whether you ask for it or not. Once I found a person that was consistent, I started making appointments with her. The first time I arrived on time (when they "open" at noon), she was already working with someone else when I arrived. I had to wait over 30 min after repeatedly telling the receptionists that I had an appointment with a specific person (which was confusing to them). The second time, I arrived a few minutes early, just in case that happened again, and was told this person was on vacation and I'd have to work with another person. Within ten minutes of starting with this new nail tech, the original person I had the appointment with came in to work. So the vacation excuse was a lie. Later during that same appointment I overheard the receptionist on the phone repeatedly tell people they do walk-ins only. This was not mentioned either time I called to make the appointments, when I showed up telling them I had an appointment, or on their storefront. I have had better quality and a better experience for a lower price elsewhere and I won't be returning after this last "appointment". read more

I would not recommend going to this place at all. The people here are ridiculously rude. The way they treat you is horrible but not as horrible as the way they do your nails. My daughter went in and her nails turned out very bad. They were all poorly shaped and her design was not done correctly. They also got access nail powder under her nail that dried into clumps that wouldn't come off. She got a pedicure as well, which chipped off right away and they weren't willing to fix it. I am newer to the area and didn't know of any nail salons so I used Yelp to try and help me find a good one. My mom and I both got pedicures today and we are so impressed with the job they did! We didn't have to wait more than 1 minute, the salon was very clean, employees were friendly, quality nail polish and a great selection. We are both very picky and both of our pedicures are literally FLAWLESS. We were blown away by the wonderful experience. I came here last minute-- they were so kind and were able to fit me in their schedule around 4:30 PM. The Gel polish variety was phenomenal. I've never seen such amazing colors displayed so beautifully. It made it very easy for me to pick out my colors since the nudes were swatched next to each other. I always go with nudes, but this time I went with a dark plum/maroon shade. I've never done anything like this before but VANESSA made it look so polished on my small fingers. Vanessa was super gentle with my hands and even though she used a fresh nail filer to file my pink, it did cut a layer of my skin. She stopped right away and apologized. She handled the situation so well! And of course I'm not the type to make anyone feel bad from making an honest mistake, I felt like she was super sincere and super careful afterwards. I don't blame her because my pink is super tiny! I am a perfectionist and I have to say, I WILL BE COMING HERE AGAIN! The ladies here are amazing! Wanted to try this place out due to the reviews. Called to make an appt for two pedicures. Ran late but they were very understanding and were able to get us in right when we arrived. Wide variety of colors compared to other salons I've been to. Overall the staff was nice and the pedicure itself was decent but for the price I wouldn't come back. The prices went up from their service menus online which is understandable (esp with Covid) but I would prefer to go to a different nail salon that is a bit more affordable with better foot massages. We got the plus pedicure for $38 and that was just for regular polish. For gel it would have been $20 more making it $58. I've gotten a nice regular polish pedicure done for $25 with gel for only $15 more. The nail salon is fine-just depends what you want/prefer in your nail salons. I have been here a few times for a basic manicure and it was fine. HOWEVER I booked for a wedding party and it was terrible. Everyone who went with a dip or acrylic nails were a MESS. On the dip they could not match the samples to the actual as in a sample that was in their book as red was hot pink. They sanded down the skin around my nail bed on 3 fingers to the point of bleeding and then tried cleaning it with acetone. On the other bridesmaids acrylics they were severely unevenly cut and not shaped the same. On top of all of that nails were coming off by the next day, even the dip was chipping and coming off. I called to have an appointment booked, assuming they would be super busy this weekend as it is the day before Valentine's Day. They were actually able to fit me in the same day. Staff was super nice and everyone was wearing masks. They also had me sanitize my hands before I touched anything which made me feel better about the safety aspect, as the COVID-19 pandemic is still in effect. The first woman who took off my previous acrylics from another nail salon was super gentle with my nails as the previous nail salon had filed my natural nails way too thin. I did end up getting a cut on one of my fingers from trying to get the previous acrylics off, hence the 4/5 stars. The second woman, who was the first woman's sister was super accommodating to what I had asked for and kept going back on her filing and painting of my acrylics to make everything perfect. While paying, the first woman even gave me $5 off. In total I paid $65 for a full set and one small "J" on my ring finger nail. All in all, I had a wonderful experience. Great conversations, nice staff, clean environment, and amazing nails. Truly the first time I've been 100% happy with my nails. read more

I had great service and my nails turned out beautiful, BUT they over charged me 20$ more than the price stated on their website, i had a previous acrylic set so i just needed a fill with gel polish. on the website the price states it is 35$ for a fill with gel polish, the lady never told me how much it would cost before doing my nails. when i went up to pay they told me it would be 55$. ALL i had was a FILL not a FULL SET. i asked why and they said it was because of the shape of my nail, i did have coffin nails before and i got the same shape again, 20$ extra for the shape of my nail is ridiculous. they just try to get the most money out of you as possible. read more

do not recommend. first, i wasn't greeted nicely. second, the person who did my nails was really short and quiet. she was like bored and was doing my nails like she was irritated. third, i asked her about her day and new colors they had and she DID NOT RESPOND but when other customers would say hi to her (which they were usual customers) she would reply. when i told her about leaving ONE nail longer than ALL the others, she said "that's how they are, we already went over this. you agreed it was fine" but i asked another lady on her opinion and to check them out and she agreed and said it was longer than the others. My 2nd time here must have been a one off unfortunate experience be wide every time since then has been wonderful, just like the first time. Kayla does an incredible job on pedicures. She's very personable and very detailed with her work. The shaping of my toe nails is always perfect and the length, too. The polish is applied to perfection and my feet always feel new. They have many polish color choices and do nice little extras like a beverage, nice music, and a hot towel at the end. Hmmm... 2nd time for a pedicure wasn't so hot. Polish is uneven and bumpy. Overpriced for the kind of service you get. I wanted to like this place because it's close to work. It was my first time there and will be my last. The lady (no name tag) rushed to do my nails. She barely filed or shaped them, said that cuticle care is not included. Nothing other than a quick polish dip and didn't make sure the top coat dried well before she was off to work on another client. I was very disappointed. I added a pedicure as well. My total was $94 not including tip. For $52 dip nails, it was a waste of money. I also went home with thick powder residue left over under my finger nails and skin area around the fingernails, which I've never experienced before.
