This will be somewhat of a multi review, as I will be comparing the Sky Bar to the other bars within Graton Casino. The Sky Bar itself is an okay experience, the drinks can be a little pricey ($12-$15) for both volume and what alcohols are used, and the drinks aren't really well made either. The bar is located in the middle of the casino, so it's pretty loud. I have some hearing issues, so it was sometimes difficult for me to communicate to the bartenders, unfortunately. The bartenders themselves were nice, not the communicable type, the "just make the drink and ignore you" type which I have no issue with, but others might. (To clarify, I don't think they ignored me because of the hearing issue, I noticed that most of them did not speak to any of the patrons other than to ask if they wanted another drink) Compared to the other bars in the casino... There's infinitely better options. The G-Bar has a better selection of drinks, is a little quieter, and larger screens (to watch the World Cup!). The Pool/Lobby Bar is a little cheaper, has a wider selection of alcohols AND has arguably the best bartender in the entire casino, David, who is incredibly skilled and has made the best drinks I've had in the casino. The 8-Bar has a quieter atmosphere and some Asian alcohols (which most of the bars here do not have), but is a little pricier. The Boathouse Bar also has a wider selection of alcohols, and the bartenders are flashier when making drinks (not my thing, but can be a positive for some). I think you could go to any other bar and get a better experience. read more

I'd give Sky Bar a 3.5/5 stars. However, this review is dedicated to a specific bartender. I don't know her name, but she's a heavier set caucasian female with dreadlocks. This woman had the audacity to confront me about not tipping her on my first round of drinks when my intention was to go back to her on my second round and provide a tip. After I bought the second round of drinks for a group of my friends she told me not to do that again and to provide a tip and how I broke her heart by not doing so... You don't know me and you don't know what my intentions were. I'll be back, but trust and believe, I won't be having you serve me or the folks I bring. I don't know whether I should be surprised or not but well over 5-1/2 years from my last review and this place is still the same, and that's not a good thing. Bartenders only pay attention to those patrons sitting at bar stools. They do not take drink orders from those sitting at their tables in the bar area nor do they take drink orders from those standing at the bar trying to place an order. I know, I know, one might say "why don't you just sit at the bar stool and place an order?" Well one would if there was room but once people plant their butts on the bar stool they don't leave for hours and hours. So my adventure into this establishment yesterday with a friend after walking around and playing some of the slots was a royal bust instead of a royal flush! No service, no drinks. Most of the time, in these casino bars, you expect a little impatience because they're so busy and it's understandable that you get small drinks for slightly higher price points. I asked John for a highball and I suppose he didn't know what that was, he may have been new to bartending and could pass for a young 20something. He called over Marta, whose tired eyes and damp tone told me her shift started 40 years ago. She curtly informed me, "a highball is just a glass. What do you want in it?" "I... I'd like a highball in it please" I stammered, too shocked to take this any further, and I told this seasoned bartender the two ingredients that were in this classic cocktail. I sipped on this and for lack of anything else to do, I half-watched a football game on the TV and listened to one staff member scold other staff for not cleaning their sections' tables. After 30 minutes, I managed to get a water from the very busy John. Soon my friend arrived and I ran off to tell the harrowing story of the highball that almost never was and got a champagne glass that happened to be filled with champagne. read more

Beautiful, elegant and luxurious area in the Graton Casino. Good place to begin your time in the casino. Sit down, look around, have an adult beverage and pick up on the vibes. They hire attractive and professional bartenders which adds to the glam. I had the Moscow Mule - Delish! Hubby ordered a Tanqueray and Tonic. Nice and strong. They didn't have any happy hour specials so the bartender recommended another restaurant in the casino - that's another story. Excellent ! read more

Just want to give a shout out to Olivia Bar Mmanager at the Sky Bar for excellent customer service. She went above and beyond to get the UFC fight on all tvs which were late to be on as well as pick up all glasses that previously were there for a long duration of time. She personally apologized and made sure our table and area was clean as well checked on our group. She did it all with a smile and made our time hear worth coming back. read more

I came to this bar for my birthday and I was disrespected by the bartenders and Bar manager Olivia who is pregnant. I asked Olivia for assistance when one of the bar tenders was very rude and unwilling to make the drinks that I requested. She snatched my money out of my hand and was extremely obnoxious. As I asked the bar manager for assistance she responded very unprofessionally telling me that I have an attitude which I did not as I was only asking for assistance. Olivia the pregnant bar manager was very rude to my party discussing us to her other staff saying that we had attitudes. We were racially profiled and I will be sure to get the word out because this behavior is unacceptable. read more

Cool bar inside the casino. Too bad the Bartenders are rude and they shld wear different uniforms. Burgundy booby showing shirts are awful. The drinks aren't very good either. I ended up ordering a champagne which was Korbel and they had no champagne glasses available cuz they were dirty. Bartender copped an attitude cuz I asked her to clean one for me. She then stated they dont have any. But two ladies at the end of the bar had champagne flutes. So your lazy and a liar. Great service NOT read more

Service sucks good luck trying to get a drink or even a smile. i ordered a vodka rebull and i watched her open a new redbull to make the drink and leave it on the counter. after i finished my drink i asked if i could have the rest of the redbull and she charged me $4 for the half used redbull. BECAUSE I am a bartender i don't understand why she would do that because I wouldn't charge my guest for a half used drink i'm probably going to toss anyways. Beautiful bar and great dj on Saturday nights. It does get crowded and I didn't drink but staff seemed great. I didn't deal too much with the bartenders , but saw staff often clean up tables and take empty glasses. Security was also making rounds. Prices are $$ for drinks. read more

If I could give it none I would! Glen and tony the managers wouldn't let my bf in bc he had a Jordan shirt on and said it was sports attire! But everyone else wearing Jordan (basketball shoes ) which is also sports attire can go in.. this is bull.. you aren't vegas stop trying to act like you guys are. Bar in center of Graton casino. Apparently this bar is trying to be high class and kicks out everyone with a hat or attire that does not meet their dress code. Even if you just ordered a drink, at 5:55 pm in the afternoon with Giants games on all screens, no hats on and no improper attire or they kick you out. Really? Suns out 90 degrees outside, giants are playing When I complained they told me to go online and submit a complaint. I'll submit it here instead. Start your dress code at night, like 10 or 11pm. Casino is out in the country but trying to be Vegas. I'll spend my $6 on a beer somewhere else. Btw no free drinks even when gambling. read more

My bartenders names was Rebecca and she wasnt friendly at all she seemed flustered and overwhelmed. I also wasnt aware if the dress code since I wore my usual attire consisting of a hooded jacket. I was told to tuck it and only to sit and feel like I did something wrong considering the poor attitude of my bartender. If you want better service I do not recommend this bar. It's really quite stupid to me how you aren't allowed to order more than 2 drinks an hour. I only had 2 and the girl cut me off. I wasn't drunk either, but the stupid part is I could just walk a couple extra feet to the next bar and buy one there. Really dumb rule especially when your celebrating someone's birthday and you want to get all your drinks at once cuz the girls are impossible to get there attention to order another one.
