I started coming to this salon randomly because it's right down the street from my house, and I've seen Abel, Katie, Madeline, and Heather for my hair. Today was the first time I've ever been charged extra for a "curl/flat iron," even though my hair wasn't curled or flat ironed at all. The haircut itself was nice, but the blow-dry was honestly really bad--it looked like I tried to do it myself and failed. I didn't say anything in the salon, but when I got home, my friends pointed out how bad it looked, which made me realize I wasn't overreacting. Overall, I do like this salon, especially for walk-ins. If I had to rank the stylists I've been to: Madeline is definitely #1--she did an amazing job with both the cut and styling, and there were no random extra charges. Abel also did a great job with my highlights. Katie and Heather would be tied. They're both very nice, but Katie cut my hair noticeably uneven--I even had coworkers telling me not to go back to her, which is why I stopped coming to the salon for a while. Heather did a good job with the haircut itself, but the styling was not good. I wouldn't have minded as much since I planned to redo my hair at home anyway, but being charged extra for styling that didn't turn out well is frustrating. I was actually going to ask to skip the blow-dry, but she said she needed to dry it to see how it laid and refine the cut. If it had turned out good, I wouldn't have minded the upcharge--but paying extra for something that looked this bad is really disappointing. And the extra charge wasn't explained it almost seemed like she was trying to sneak it in as she whispered to the receptionist to help her add the charge. This place is great, walked in on a tuesday expecting to have to make an appointment but they took me right in and even gave me some tea before my cut and style, even told me what was best for my hair. It was very chill and you get some nice views of the marina from inside. I had a good experience here and got exactly what I asked for but I have not had this kind of salon experience before. I asked for a root touch up and a a nice blow out for a wedding. Never have I had a root touch up (and there have been many) where the color was not pulled through at the end to ensure a smooth transition. I told her she could go a little darker and she went slightly lighter, after one shampoo I can see a line of demarcation. It is not terrible, I can live with it another 5 weeks, I don't see any gray but I will not return for this service. I was charged separately for a shampoo and blow out, from a different stylist. I wondered, had I not got this service would they not have shampooed the color out? The blow out and styling was beautiful. couldn't be better. I saw pictures of myself at the wedding hours later, and my hair looked great, at an outside wedding, no less. I got many compliments from people who know me well and it looked pretty darn. good the second day. This is very close to home for me and I will return to Katie if I ever need just a blow out. She did a wonderful job and got me out of the salon at the promised time. read more

They have a wide variety of services, workers, and clients. You'll see a variation from cute little elderly woman to trendy Dad to someone with a mohawk to California blonde babe. There is someone here that can do whatever it is that you need. The stylist that we see is Ky. She is amazing. She has connected with my teenage daughter and brought her hair vision to life. She never judges what she wants to do. She encourages her to stay true to herself, and not just do something typically cute, or trendy or mainstream. Jenna, you should refer to her as your ex client don't forget you told her NOT TO RETURN, you trying to justify your horrible behavior is even more disturbing. On your reply, you indicated that you wanted to provide some clarity. It would've been extremely helpful if it was clarity without lies. Correct I did not assist your (ex client) to the restroom. There was no need she's very capable of walking herself to the restroom. It's very difficult to ask a deaf person if they're OK in a locked restroom. Yes you asked if we should open the door and I said no because I can hear her moving around and I knew she was OK as for there being a key to the restroom am not sure if that's truly correct because your husband was trying to open the other restroom with a comb, and as far as you offering me, gloves and bleach, that's a LIE, you should have touch base with your husband before your reply, because I in fact did offer to clean up after my client your ex client, and he told me not to worry about it it's been taken care of. She took a little long in the restroom do to her cleaning up and changing her pants which again she's perfectly capable of doing herself I've entered A restroom after she's had an accident and there's always minimal cleanup. So let me get it right, by me refusing to barge in on my client, (your ex client) using the restroom and possibly embarrassing her even more, justifies you raising your voice, practically yelling humiliating, traumatizing her making her cry in front of your whole salon and telling her not to return. She was so sweet and left my hair feeling and looking great. She also gave me a head massage while we waited for the conditioner to work it's magic. I came in for a consultation with Araceli on June 4th hoping to get my hair cut and colored. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with her mannerisms and demeanor. I understand I may have been unclear about my hair preferences, but that's why we had a consultation--to explore options and clarify my vision. Instead, I left feeling disrespected and shaky. As a mom of three, finding time for myself is rare, so this experience was particularly disheartening. I had high expectations based on recommendations, but unfortunately, I had the worst experience there. I left the salon without any service done due to poor customer service from the stylist. She made me feel unwelcome and simply disrespected. She spoke very loudly and kept repeating, "Do you know what I am saying? You know you won't get the color right?" My hair has been coming in funky since it started growing back after cancer treatment in 2020. As fresh as the growth was, it also grew back a bit more brittle, and breaks easily at the ends. Anyways, yeah, totally haven't been happy with my hair and haven't really been giving it much care. I went in to Sky Salon on a whim, took a Saturday appointment that opened up. I went in with no ideas for cuts or style for my hair. I just knew I wanted all my dead, frayed ends to to get chopped off.... Hmm, maybe even some color, oh, I didn't know. I met with Lynn who was truly amazing. She sat me down and gauged my hair personality by my jewelry - big organic earrings, my profession - creative field, and maybe a few other things she learned about me through conversation. The more we talked the more she had ideas for this cut I didn't even think of. She started with a deep condition. When back at the chair, she talked me through my cut, first identifying the dead areas and working from there. Then she talked me through style. When she got a good groove going, she styled it and gave me a few more options to go even more funky, shorter on one side, a-symmetrical, different lengths. At this point, her work had already amazed, and I was trusting of her creativity, so I gave her the green light to continue with her masterpiece. Oh... and I don't know when was the last time I had bangs but felt I could rock it, so to meet me half way, Lynn gave me subtle bangs... and again schooled me on ways to style with or hide them. Epic turnout. I love, love my hair, and left with a happy shag, texture, volume, and a good shine on my hair. This truly was a great REFRESH for my hair. Sky Salon is amazing, and watched the other stylist at the various stations create. All seemed so talented and passionate about what they created. Jelena is my go to. She is a true color specialist. Anytime I stray she always revives my hair and has a knack for knowing what you want.
