Obsessed with Sky Zones, my seven-year-old daughter takes to many locations across the country. This is the only location where she said "I didn't have fun" afterwards. Here's why. 1) Space: It's the smallest location we've been to with one medium-sized open room, a smaller room off the side, and a small waiting area. There are NOT slides or a toddler area. What they do have are a few obstacle courses, trampolines, a small dodge ball area where staff don't enforce rules, and few arcade games that rip people off. The foam square pits are shallow, and the foam pieces are falling apart. The entire space is run down. It also gets crowded so expect chaos. 2) Service: The staff at the front are friendly. 3) Price: Everyone pays over $20 for 90 minutes. Special socks are required so bring yours if you have them from a previous visit. If not, it's another charge. read more

My nephew and my niece enjoyed themselves and I had a good time too. I really loved the super trampoline. Check in process was easy and it was not too busy. You can just jump, play a game like dodge ball, or use the obstacles course. Plenty of space and things to keep everyone entertained. We have a monthly membership and have had no issues in stopping in for the occasional jump. My son wanted his birthday party at Skyzone this year and of all the places to have our party, this experience was the worst. It felt like no one was prepared for his party... there was no supervision on the jump floor (staff in the back room as soon as the manager left the building).... And I had to ask for even his name to be out on the party room door. I've seen others have parties there and it seemed much more organized so maybe this was an off day. 5/29/22; Where do I begin? I'm very irritated, but let me tell you the story. My son's dad was in communication with Defy staff & set up a SURPRISE bday party for today. He paid the $75 deposit knowing ahead of time we wouldn't have the full 10 people jumping. We were fine with paying the bday group price. The birthday fun was set up for 4:30-6:30 pm. The first hour was for jumping & the 2nd hour was for the party room festivities. I was jumping with the kids until they said on the loud speaker for our wristband color to take a hike. At that point (5:30 pm), our party room should've been set up. I go looking for my son's dad & he's at the counter speaking to management. WHY???? Because Defy staff allowed someone who had NOTHING TO DO WITH COORDINATING/PAYING FOR THE PARTY (his stupid, nosey, ignorant mother) come to them telling them that not all kids showed up in an attempt to get passes to jump another day. WTF?!?!? How dare she. The staff, without speaking to anyone besides this STRANGER, cancelled my son's party!!! Again, WTF?!?! No party room set up. No pizza. No drinks. Only the cake we brought in. When I tell you I could've knocked his mom into next week, I was really ready to. My son knew nothing about this plan, so he was having a blast just jumping. BUT I DID!!!! And they shouldn't be communicating with anyone besides the one who set the party up in the first place. In the end, they partially set the party room up for a FEW MINUTES for us to just have cake & their nasty Dole Lemonade 2-liter, but that's about it. I blame them 50% because this isn't the way to handle business. No one should be able to make changes to something that was already set up. She literally was a stranger to them coming in there pushing her weight around like she was important & they fell for it. My son enjoyed himself & I'm sure he'd want to jump again, so I'm giving them 4-stars in the end. I will deal with the meddling grandma later... read more

My kids love going to trampoline parks and I love that they get to burn some energy so it's a win win. The trampoline area is clean and has good sight lines. As a parent I also really enjoyed all of seating areas they had for parents and adults. You do have to have special socks to jump in so if you don't have the special trampoline socks be prepared to shell out a little extra cash for those. My kids really enjoyed the variety of activities: dodgeball, basketball, trampoline park. Ninja course area and rope swing. The only downfall was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. The bathrooms were dated and dirty at the time of our visit. Overall I'd come back here again and would recommend a friend. read more

This was our very first experience going to any kind of place like this. It was amazing! Everything was super clean. We went on the middle of a Wednesday, so it was super quiet! Which was great because I brought my two year old! I think the biggest stigma with places like that are that they can be dirty but this place is super clean... I was constantly seeing employees clean. The whole experience was really nice. They had us fill out some paperwork for safety and originally I was just going to get a day pass but right now if you buy a day pass, you can actually get a whole month for free so we ended up switching to that. At the end we jumped for about an hour and then when we left, my daughter started crying and the manager gave her a lollipop for free to calm her down it really made her day and made mine as a mom. Went to a birthday party at DEFY over the weekend. Lots of space and fun things to do for the kids, (all of whom get the required DEFY footie-socks as part of the birthday package, btw. Whew!) I like how much comfortable seating there is for adults who are not participating in jumping/obstacle courses/leaping off the 20' drop, etc. as well as lots of places to stand nearby your child if they're younger or you are super attentive / helicopter prone. Well lit and well-maintained indoor play place, clean bathrooms (at least the ladies room) extremely sweet and attentive staff. Get those waivers signed before the party starts and you'll be good to go. The party room is cute with suitable dining area for the 15 kid guests & their moms and a few dads. Pizza was provided as part of the birthday package. Vegan guests will want to bring their own supplies to feed their kids - that's what we did and it worked very nicely, as DEFY has a policy that allows outside food. This isn't the case everywhere so I appreciate it when it is. Our hostess made sure we were prepared and it was great. The drawback to going on a Saturday afternoon is that it is crowded and there is naturally some chaos as a result. The staff were good about cluing into issues and resolving them ASAP. Crowds aren't a dealbreaker for us on a Saturday afternoon, but just something to be aware of going in. read more

The manager we talked to (Jarett) is rude and has horrible attitude when addressing the customer; he refused to listening to the customer, and doesn't care about assuring that a customer will return at all. If you are in search of a fun way to burn calories this is the place for you. Jumpology brings out your inner child and forces you to literally jump to your limits. We frequent Jumpology due to it being a favorite of my little cousins. My entire family jumps from ages 5-55. This places gets your heart racing and adrenaline pumping. They have issues with honesty, in regards to true costs. My first surprise was the additional cost of gripper socks, that must be purchased from them. I believe they charge an additional $3.00 per person. I understand the need, but not the fact that you can't bring your own. Then there are signs displayed on the front door and inside, pay $10 for a 30 day pass. What they don't tell you is you have to pay Full Price for the admission, PLUS the $10 for the pass. So, it's not $10. And, no where on the signs is there any indication of additional terms - nada nothing! So, this was my first time visiting post COVID and name change. We had a great time. We went for a kids birthday, but not a party. The staff was on point and very helpful. As soon as you walk in they're guiding through the process of checking in and taking your temperature. The process was not difficult at all. I'm glad they have memberships now, which are very affordable and make sense if you visit often (like me). The girl that checked me in didn't attempt to up sell my purchase to a membership which was a missed opportunity because I wanted one by the time we left. The manager attempted to help me, but somehow the computer wasn't working and I was unable to apply what I paid towards a membership. He tried everything he could which was great customer service! I came into this location on a week day afternoon with 10-children ages ranging from 3 to 16 years old, the 2 youngest being special needs. We had a great time. The facility was very clean and well put together. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was something for everyone to do and the kids were completely wore out within an hour. There was a couple of other kids there but it was by no means busy. Socks are required but sold at a great price. They also offer great discounts to jump through Groupon. I was a facebook fan months before they opened and I really excited about this sport concept since there is NOTHING like it in RVA. $12 per hour during the week, and $20 for 2 hours. Me and and a several friends did a 2 hour session for $25 but it was on a Friday night so no discounts. We went from 8-9PM and then another session at 9PM Club Gravity for 15+ year olds where they turn off most of the lights and turn on a minimal strobe effect/flashing lights deal. The main floor is about size of regular high school b-ball court?? the whole floor is made of trampoline material and some of the walls have trampolines so you bounce off the walls! Cool, i know! there are also punching bags/soccer balls hanging from strings so you can try to jump HIGH and reach for them too. There is also a basketball area so you can try to dunk which is also pretty neat. They also have a small dodge ball area where you can jump AND play ball which is really fun and super crazy! They also have a foam pit where you can jump and do tricks/back flips into a foam pit. Alot of the kids were doing double flips and weird stunts and it was fun b/c it was really safe. ***NOTE *** You should probably only go for ONE hour. I was WIPED after about 20 minutes and had to take it kinda easy for the rest of the night. Definitely went to hard initially and you gotta take it easy. Lots of fun, cool concept and really brings your inner child out. The only downside is that there is ALOT of kids and sometimes you just wish you had people who knew how to jump and respect your 'personal' jumping space. read more

I wrote a review and gave the place 1 star. We went and I was destroyed by the check in process. EVERYONE needs to sign a waiver. I get that, even if you are watching - some wonky kid could crash into you and there are a LOT of people who like suing. However, they forced everyone to do it on a very click happy/crappy web app that was continually crashing and finally croaked. The lines trying to get signed in were hugely obnoxious and ate into our slotted 1 hour time frame. But, the kids had fun. They had so much fun that they begged us to return. This time, we breezed straight past the kiosks and they just had us sign in on paper. Wow - that works! Straight in, paid, did the legal shield for them and then the kids just had plain ole fun for an hour. They love bouncing, jumping, jump dodge ball, jump into the pit, etc. It is now their go to place. This place is awesome!! You can jump all you want on the flat surface, curved surface, jumping dodgeball, jumping basketball, and the foam cube pit! My 2 year old was scared at first but loved it so much age didn't want to leave. $12/ hour went quickly and I guess it's not a bad deal for that much fun but could be costly for families with multiple kids. This place is run by an unethical, inhumane, UNPROFESSIONAL franchise owner named AJ. He lied to me and mislead me for over 60 days for a (party down payment) refund that didn't equal $100. I tried to work with him requesting my refund he promised to me but time and time again, nothing was issued. Instead today, I was given more run arounds, told to call corporate for an issue he can resolve, and decided to start hanging up on me when his staff tried to put him on the phone. His staff gave my son's bday cake and cupcakes away on the day of the party. By the time, he attempted to resolve the issue more than half the party was gone. We were given the party room late. Our kids were never given the proper treatment of putting their belongings in the movable cart. It was the worse party experience ever. The pizzas were borderline cold after waiting and the sodas were warm. Then the staff acted confused about giving our stuff away. Don't worry by the time they completely destroyed our party, we were singing happy bday with the next party's cups and decor being placed on the table. Make sure you hold on to everything you bring in the facility because they aren't keeping up with your stuff and all promises are lies! My kids love this place but I will NEVER give them a dollar because they don't deserve it! You could've done the right thing but you want the customer to go on a goose chase. I've always heard about this place from my nieces and I finally decided to come. I have to admit, I had a great time here. My friend and I came here on Friday night (9pm-10pm). During those hours, you have to be 15+. That was a big plus because we didn't have to worry about little kids jumping around us. I'm not going to lie, it was a great cardio work out. I'm in pretty good shape and jumping around for 15 minutes non-stop wore me out. During the time we was there, it was the Jump Jam hours. Everything was dark with flashy lights and music blasting. Jumpology is the best trampoline park in the Richmond metro area. They offer slack lining, obstacle course, and other tests of jumping skill. All other places don't offer any of those extra perks. The staff there is fun helpful and polite! Great job y'all. The only thing I'd suggest is that the dodge ball section get the actual old school red rubber balls, then we can separate the men from the boys lol. These young punks don't know the agony of your face cinching up after catching a fast one to the cheek. It lets you know where you stand in the pecking order on the play ground. Please know before you go there to not only watch the children or child you brought but you should also jump...nope that's a lie. I went with some teens & THOUGHT I could hang with them & oh did I. It was fun, til 35 hours later. My body ached like I was in a car accident & did those teens I went with hurt...not even a little. We came to Defy on a Tuesday in the summer. The entire back section was closed (the trampoline pits and the separate big trampoline). The area next to the ninja obstacles is also closed and empty. One of the ninja obstacles has no obstacle, so it's a pointless foam pit. Basically the only areas functioning are the dodge ball court and the open trampoline area. C'mon, Defy! I finally made it to Jumpology, Ive heard so many kids raving about it. It was fun, but it was a bit crowded. They have everyone wear colored bands and when your time is up they announce it based on the color of the bands. I was surprised that adults were jumping with and next to really small kids. I was just waiting to see a toddler pop up in the air accidentally. I can see why they make everyone sign waivers... I didn't witness any injuries but Im sure they happen. I would still go back since my daughter loved it so much. I just wouldnt bring a toddler. read more

What a great place to go "jump!" Seriously, this place is great for kids and even greater for parents that just want to let it all go! Be sure to wear socks for hygiene reasons of course. Waivers can be filled out at the facility and take usually 1-2 minutes to do. The restrooms are clean and there are options to host birthday parties. Its best to go during the day as there are fewer people there which means more space to play/jump. The average cost per hour depends on the time of day that you attend. For example, I went this past Saturday 5.9.2015 at 12:30pm and it was $12/hour. I would recommend that 1.5-2 hours is just enough time to jump as you will work up a fierce sweat. Sections of Jumpology include an obstacle course, dodgeball section, basketball section, trapeze section, foam pit and free jumping area. The staff are nice and consists of teens/young adults. What an amazing place for the while family! It is extremely rare that there is entertainment that both my 10 year old and 16 year old enjoy. I so happy I found this place. The price is quite reasonable and the fact that they limit the number of people in each session sure does make it a more enjoyable time. It was not too crowded. I love jumpology. I typically only come when I'm babysitting my niece and nephew because it's such a fun activity and it normally wears them out! LOL. It's a trampoline park but it includes things like a ninja course, basketball and dodgeball sections and a tight rope. In the past, you had the option of jumping for an hour or thirty minutes. They've recently changed it to only being able to jump for one hour and I feel like that's pretty bogus for out of shape guardians like myself. You're stuck paying $12/13 when you're going to be sitting down majority of the time. On the upside it definitely encouraged me to get back into the gym. read more

Pricing is suspect with this place. I paid online for an hour jump for 2 children. When I went back to extend for another 1/2 hour, they charged an additional $10. The cost for an hour and 1/2 jump is $21 (this was a holiday). But I ended up paying $24. The manager couldn't understand my explanation of the fees. Neither could the cashier. I'm out of $6 to their gain. But their loss is that I will take my business elsewhere. There is another place in Short Pump that offers more activities and honors the posted pricing. read more
