I frequently visit Sky Box Grill & Tavern with my friends and husband, and we absolutely love this place! I come in both during the day and at night, and every experience has been great. Paige is normally my bartender, and she is AMAZING! She is always on top of everything, super friendly, attentive, and professional. You can tell she really takes pride in her job and genuinely cares about her customers. It can get a little warm inside sometimes, but we just ask DON to turn the air on, and it's great. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is fun, and it's super convenient being so close to home. We love this place and will definitely continue coming back! My personal experiences from my last visit, service from bartender named Paige has ruined it for many regulars, to include myself. Four Reviews have been made with FOUR regulars names and last initials to uplift her, which raises eyebrows. At times, once the shift is over for her she'll sit at the counter and drink, in which words start flowing about everyone in that place. Lots of the regulars decided to walk away from this place due to this behavior. As of today, August 8th 2026, my wife and I (retired 3x combat, decorated Marine, wife, RN over 20 years, were kicked out and told we were 86 because our friendships with others who aren't welcome there). We decided to leave. Wife and I decided to stopped coming due to this bartender. She went out of her way from her job at this establishment to call and message my wife to make rumors about me drinking there. As a worker you have to stick to your job and stay in your lane. The service is disgusting and the bathrooms are horrible. Don (owner) yells and uses cuss words at the cooks and bartenders, Alysha, Veronika, and Aracely would constantly come out of the back office crying trying to service us with tears down their eyes after Don yelled at them. This isn't the military, what a shame to see someone who "served" treat civilians like garbage due to this beliefs. He drops the "F" word every other sentence and treats the staff like garbage as if that's ok. This isn't a place you want to come and visit, it's a shame someone who calls himself a "veteran" doesn't know how to handle real life. Also, he runs to stater brothers to get supplies as it SHOULDNT be allowed. As you can see pictures of his staff walking in with a cart full of beer. He'll go get bread, steaks, veggies, alcohol, as if it's okay. This should not be allowed from an establishment. He'll go get beer then charge it at his price! The restaurant is military and law enforcement friendly and has numerous prior military and law enforcement patrons. I've celebrated two great Marine Corps birthdays there. Don's also creative with the entertainment. We've participated in two murder mysteries. He has karaoke and numerous other events. His staff is great too. They take time to get to know you. This establishment needs a lot of work. What a shame of what this has become. Paige is the worse bartender/ server there and has made everyone so uncomfortable that we decided to stop coming here. There's no need for fake reviews on here when you can clearly see the evidence. We wish this establishment held each other accountable and look themselves in the mirror and realized maybe they're the problem. My beer (a draft budlight) was flat and just not worth the price. The Mac salad was fine, but nothing special. I will say the food was pretty good. They did have a lot of options, considering it is a bar mostly. Looks like from what I could see.They have specials certain days of the week. I will say the service wasn't great. The lady that I had. She wasn't very attentive to any of the guest.She kinda seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. Just kinda like a stanky attitude with my two guy friends and then most of the time it took long to get what we needed because no one was paying attention; checking in. I will say that the seats outside are dirty. Tables didn't seem to be wiped down very well. The drinking prices are decent. I could honestly save myself the trouble and go somewhere else. When I tell you sky box is the place to be I mean it. I been going to my local bar for years now. The drinks and food is also on point. My favorites are chicken Caesar salad, calamari, Bloody Mary with Tito's, and for beer Mango Hef When I have family visiting I always take them there to have drinks and food, and they always have a good time. Customer service from the bartenders is always pleasant. I know the owner Don and he always try's to have different special to get people in, but in my opinion the marketing could pose to be better. I've been living in the area for over 20yrs now and have been to the Skybox off and on since. My first experience way back in the day was that it was a nice local tavern for drinks and dinner. Like I said been there off and on and then about 3 yrs ago my son stopped and picked up some hot wings to go. When he open them up you could smell that the chicken was already bad. You could smell how rancid they were even after being cooked. Haven't gone back since until today. I read the reviews and how good they were so I'm figuring new management. I figured I'd give it another try. I ordered the fish and chips to go. When I got home I opened the box and it had 3 pieces of fish that were just a little bit bigger than egg rolls. The fish ( I'm hoping it was fish) was a bit to mushy for me. Never had mushy fish and chips. Then the fish fell out of the batter, never had that either. I didn't have any drinks so can't comment on that. I will be driving a bit farther next time I'm in the mood for fish and chips. read more
