I normally prefer leaving positive feedback, but our Father's Day experience was too disappointing to ignore. I took my family of four for brunch, expecting their standard $20 per person rate. Instead, we were hit with a hidden price hike of nearly $40 per person. There was no clear signage about the holiday pricing, save for a single TV screen flashing ads too quickly to read. I saw the $20 advertisement on Facebook but am not on Instagram and that was the only place I found (two days later) the advertisement for the price for Father's Day. To make matters worse, the food quality was awful. Everything tasted like it had been sitting there for hours burning in the pans heated below by gas warmers. The biscuits were rock hard, the slider buns were completely dried out, and the bacon was burnt. The pancakes were stale and hard and the pasta/macaroni salad had been sitting out in an uncooled bowl with no lid. I couldn't even finish a plate because of the poor quality. Paying $160 for four people to eat a meal of this quality was completely unacceptable. I've had much better food McDonald's than this. Had the food quality at least matched the price, I likely never would have left this review. This ruined our family celebration, and although this was the first time we ever tried this place, we will not be returning to here again. read more

I will admit, our visits are primarily during football season but that being said, I imagine that nothing changes throughout the year. Food, all great. We have jumped around the menu and we are never disappointed. Dad loves the lamb lollipops. Now, we dont want to share the space but for the greater good we give this place a 5+! read more

Came here for a team lunch and to my suprise it was good. i really had no expectations for the food but hey decided to go for it anyway. our server was super attentive and helpful when it came to the specials. i had their chilaquiles nachos! delicious! the sauce is the star here. ambience it great for entertainment. Me and my friends went to the Cove bar and Grill right before we went to Murrieta Hot Springs for the evening retreat. We came here probably around 4:15 PM on a Monday night and we didn't get to leave until 630 service was really slow. Took a long time to get our refills but food was really good. The bartenders make stuff up about you to get you kicked out, The security guard Wes told us we were apparently pointing at the bartenders when we never even went up to the bar not even once, we didn't even buy a drink and he kicked us out it was our first experience there. Husband and I went in hoping to grab a drink or two and maybe some light bites. We sat at the bar and he got served right away as I needed to use the restroom. We waited 20 mins and no one came back to ask if I needed drink or if he needed a refill. Once we finally got the attention of a bartender we just decided to close out and not order food or another drink. Flight tacos the meat is tough and chewy felt like it was old meat. Shrimp scampi bruschetta was a disappointment. I was expecting better. Shrimp was small and had no flavor. The Cove can be fun.. but just beware if you go for karaoke and there is a game on, they will not start the karaoke until after the game.. and this is despite having TV's throughout the establishment. We went for Live Band karaoke that was supposed to start at 7 and it didn't start until after 8:30. Very disappointing when they kick the promoted music show to the curb for half of the scheduled time. It was scheduled from 7-10 pm. Thirty minutes late would've been acceptable. honestly, two stars is a stretch! My husband took me there for my birthday. He had heard that the brunch was great... Needless to say it was very very very far from great. It was the worst brunch I have ever seen. A two star hotel with breakfast included is better than this was I checked it out and asked if the food was going to be replenished and she said yes right now. So I went ahead and ordered the brunch. A friend of mine told me about this place so I finally checked it out. It's a Steelers bar to my surprise so I was very excited about that!!!! The food is not bad at all and the prices are pretty good too. My only knock on The Cove is that their beer selection isn't that great. They have a lot of those lite beers like 805, Modelo, Coors and so on. I'm a big craft beer drinker so it would be nice if they had some hazy's, or even local beer from Solaris or Aftershock. Great vibe, comfortable atmosphere, and a place you can actually relax and enjoy yourself. What truly stood out were the waitresses -- they were amazing. Our waitress, Nikki, went above and beyond not just for our table, but for everyone she interacted with. We had a huge hiccup as a family when my son accidentally threw away his retainers. The moment we told Nikki, she immediately jumped into action and literally dug through the trash to help us find them. That level of care and effort is rare. I have 22 years of waitressing experience, and I know a good establishment when I see one. This was our first time here, and I would absolutely come back without hesitation. But after my magic castle experience in Hollywood, and having their overprices rack of lamb which was nothing compared to the coves lamb!! Ok, so, I meant to write this review a couple of weeks ago and completely forgot, but felt compelled to do so because of the service we received. My husband and I stumbled upon this place on accident and decided to give it a go. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with menus and a smile. The server introduced herself as Maddy (I hope that's spelled correctly). She was an absolute DREAM server. We ordered multiple drinks from her as well as food, but the impressive part was not that she could serve us, but the genuine act of service with a smile. I have been a supervisor in the Food and beverage industry for 20+ years and there are very few times I've been this impressed with a server. She never let our drinks sit empty, she continuously checked on us and asked how we were doing. I can't begin to explain how impressed I was and how much I wish she was my employee. Thank you Maddy for giving 100% of your effort to your guests. You were truly a gem and I really hope the other employees you work with are at your same level and I pray your upper management appreciates your excellent customer service.
