Make sure you stop by on a Friday night to take advantage of their amazing prime rib deal -- starting with a soup or salad, and followed up with a generous portion of perfectly cooked prime rib, baked potato, and roasted veggies. A meal so large i always have leftovers! The dinner isnt the only great thing here... the servers are so kind and make me feel like a regular, even though ive only been here a few times. Rosie was my server this time and she was amazing. It was a busy night in the restaurant. I would've been stressed and overwhelmed, but she was so graceful.. like a swan floating through a calm lake. It was like she was telepathically connected to us; as soon as my drink was empty or I was ready for a take out box, she happened to be walking by and ready to help. I felt like a true guest at the restaurant and really enjoyed my dining experience. I showed up more than an hour before closing on Father's Day and was turned away, so I cannot comment on the food. The place looked clean, and what I could see of the food looked great--so I am giving credit where it is due. My recommendation: visit about two hours after they open or at least two hours before closing, just to be safe. Friday, 5-15-2026: I'm glad we came here with big appetites! We ordered the usual breakfast fare of scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, and toast. It was delicious and hearty. Much to our delight, it came out fast & hot! Our server was sweet & friendly. I'm so sorry I forgot her name but her customer service was unforgettable. She took great care of us. The interior was a lot nicer than we expected. I felt at home because I was a jet engine mechanic in the Air Force but retired as an Aerospace Propulsion Superintendent of an aircraft maintenance squadron. I know the owner is a Navy veteran and I love supporting veteran owned businesses. We came away impressed now we need to bring the entire family! read more

Good food and a down home atmosphere. There's entertainment on Friday night and karaoke on Wednesdays. Friday night is prime rib night. The prime rib on Fridays is better than the local steak restaurants. Service is great as well. I'm looking forward to trying more on the menu in the future. read more

My husband and I came here for a quick lunch date, I was skeptical at first as it looked a private airport terminal, but I was wrong. The cafe was very cozy, welcoming, and clean, service was stupendous and the food was great. It was fun watching the planes take off and land right next to us, a very unique experience. Tried this place since it overlooked the airport. It's a very cute looking place but the food was very meh. Their cowboy Benedict seemed interesting but it was just too greasy for me. The country gravy was also on the blander side. Service is kind of slow, which I understand given the busy brunch rush, but was not super personable either. I'd rather drive a bit farther to try other brunch places in Murrieta and Temecula. The best part is the value though - you get a lot for what you pay for! read more

One of my favorite go to restaurants. I absolutely love the cowboy Benedict for breakfast and for lunch I love the patty melt. The reason for 4 stars vs. 5 is because they used to have the most delicious fries (beer battered, soft inside crunchy outside). They no longer serve these and now serve boring steak fries. The service is mostly great. I go there mostly because it is at French Valley Airport. It is fun to watch planes take off and land while enjoying a meal. read more

French Valley Café is such a solid spot. The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and the service never misses a beat. The vibe is chill, and one of the best parts is watching airplanes land while you eat. There's plenty of seating inside plus a nice patio if you want to enjoy the view. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are fair for what you get. My favorite part of coming here is the manager who works the bar. Her energy is always so positive and welcoming, it sets the tone for the whole experience. The bathrooms are located outside the restaurant but still within the same building, so it's not a big deal. Finally got a chance to try this restaurant. My pulled pork entree was better than I had expected. I almost finished the dish except for a few pieces of potatoes left behind. Service was a little better than average. Ambiance was ok. I think this experience is considered a check-off-the-list-of-restaurants-I-wanted-to-try experience. French Valley Café is such a fun and unique brunch spot, especially if you're bringing kids along. The prices are pretty affordable -- a little cheaper than some other brunch spots -- and the portions are very generous. We ordered the kids meal for my grandkids, and it was basically an adult-sized plate. They got the pancakes with a sausage patty, and it came with about two full-size pancakes. Definitely more than expected for a kids meal and great value at under $5. I ordered the Travelaire sandwich, which includes grilled chicken, Swiss cheese, bacon, and avocado on grilled sourdough. This was very, very delicious. The portion was huge -- I was only able to eat half and saved the rest for dinner. It also came with a side of fries, which made it even more filling. One of the best parts was the view. Being able to watch the planes take off and land was such a nice touch, and my grandkids really enjoyed that. It definitely adds to the overall experience. The only downside was the wait. We waited about 30 minutes on a Sunday. That said, it was still worth it -- especially if you're taking kids. I visited French Valley Cafe recently with my mom. It was difficult to spot from the outside- but for anyone looking for it- simply go into the airport main entrance right in front of the plane statue. Inside I found the aviator decor to be throughout and was pleased to be seated in a booth with view of parked planes and would see a few arrive during my visit. For dishes I chose from the lunch menu the deli sandwich combo with creamy chicken noodle soup. From the breakfast menu- My mother had the liberator- two poached eggs over canadian bacon and grilled english muffin topped with hollandaise sauce. As far as taste - its what you would expect from the dishes. Nothing remarkable - I have had better. And while my mom enjoyed hers- she ended up having a hair in her dish. I will give them credit in that they courteously remade the two muffins, eggs and all. But the appetite was lost and we boxed and took it home instead. As far as returning- I would simply for the view and to bring the kiddos to watch the planes . read more

We love this place. The French dip is AMAZING!! The meat is so tender. The cheese is melted perfectly. The dun is soft and perfectly dunkable. The auju is salty and savory!! The BLT with avocado is also bomb! This is a cool cafe near the neighborhood. You can watch the planes and eat some pretty good food. The food is affordable! I meant to take a picture but I forgot! I was hungry. My partner loved that they had vegetarian options. Food is mostly burgers and sandwiches but there are other options as well. The service is great too! You can sit inside or outside. Only downside is that they are renovating bathrooms atm so you have to use porta-potty's if you need to use the bathroom. Hope they get this fixed soon! read more

This cafe is a perfect spot to bring your family. My toddler loves coming here to watch the planes. It's my go to spot to meet up with family or just have a mother daughter date. The food is always good, and the kids meal is such a great deal. The biscuits & gravy are my favorite from here, but honestly the breakfast burrito and sandwich are really good as well. They seat you quick and customer service is always friendly. First time at French Valley Cafe in Murrieta, CA. The restaurant is inside the French Valley Airport. It's nice to see small airplanes depart or land while you're dining. We stopped at restaurant for breakfast after a Middle School graduation. The wait time for 9 people was 1 hour on a Friday. We waited in the bar area and enjoyed a few drinks while we waited for our table. Once we got our table, we waited another 30 minutes or so for our food to come out. The service was very slow on drink refills. Had we've been a smaller group, I would've stayed at the bar because the service was much better there. I give restaurant the following rating: -Ambiance: 5/5 -Service: 3.8/5 -Bartender: 4/5 The Hashbrowns lacked seasoning. The steak on my steak and eggs plate was tough. The pancakes were just okay. 3.5/5. I did like the freshly baked biscuits and enjoyed the Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup. I tried the chicken fried steak and that was pretty good too. 4/5 The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. If you've been to a Cracker Barrel Restaurant, the breakfast is very similar to that. The French Valley Café is housed within the private commercial airport. It is a moderately sized venue with plenty of food choices available on the breakfast, brunch and lunch menus. The waiting area outside gives you the feeling as if you are waiting to board a plane. While waiting, we enjoyed watching through the wide clear windows, observing commercial planes parked on the tarmac. The wait was not too long and our servers were great. We liked the design inside the space, with lots of hanging miniature aircraft, props and aviation crafts. It reminded me of the Aeronautical Museum at Balboa Park in San Diego. The food is tasty and they serve generous portions; overall, everything we ordered was delicious. It offers good quality food at an affordable price. Note: if you are traveling with toddlers, bring snacks and things to do. The wait for food might be a little long, but the kids menu and food is pretty yummy! This cafe is so unique and I'm glad we finally tried it. There is a lot for the kids to see and do if there is a wait - there's huge windows to see the planes and helicopters take off and land, but also the restaurant is fun with decorations appropriate for a place inside an airport! The kids food was surprisingly super tasty and a good portion. Our entrees were also equally tasty and well portioned.
