We went in here today to eat around 2pm and what a disappointment! This supposedly went under new management a few months ago; and they BLEW UP the menu. We used to LOVE their burgers; they now have 3 to choose from, that's it. Their menu is so small now. They don't even have cheese sticks!! We ordered some fried pickle spears and a pop. Food was Luke warm and bland. Ordered the spicy chicken sliders. Basically they were frozen chicken Patty's "salted" with some sort of hot flavored spice. By salted I mean lighted dusted. My chips didn't even come out with my meal. Bartender had four other people at the bar and barely said a word to me. Had to finally flag her down to ask for my chips. Walking in under new management I had high hopes until I did not see the pool table. What in the world where they thinking even everyone at the bar was talking about times we've ran our tab up playing pool and now it's gone. The whole point of going here is to get ok food and beer while playing pool. I ordered the classic smash burger it was missing flavor it was very bland and I wasn't happy. There's no real reason to go they made the menu smaller and few options. Enough said if you want better food and non skunked beer go across 59 because the only thing that this place had going for it was the pool table. This restaurant is a waste of time, went here for dinner with my husband and his family to grab a bite and celebrate, we arrive at the restaurant at 6:09pm, we did not leave the restaurant until almost 8:40pm. We had to ASK for refills on our drinks, appetizers took about an hour and our food took almost 2. I understand that they only had one cook but we were never checked up on, the food came out wrong, and when we asked for boxes we had to literally ask for the bill after waiting 20 minutes for it. Stopped in for a drink and had the best Bloody Mary EVER!!!! This thing was packed with celery, bacon, olives , cheese and donuts!!!!! Great spice and the rim had a delish seasoning as well. Guys, we were an incredibly understanding group of people. We all have worked in the service industry at some time of another, but c'mon.... You got 3/7 orders correctly, then charged us for food we didn't even have. What also gets me, is that it took over 2 hours to get our food, when we were 7 of the 12 people in the establishment at that time. We understood, we were a "large" group and didn't complain....until 2 hours later, when we got frozen solid chicken. Then there was absolutely no apology, no nothing. Delicious food found here. We had a Chicken Caesar Wrap served with fresh housemade Yukon Gold chips and a cheeseburger with tots. Everything was prepared to perfection. The Minestrone Soup was homemade and delicious. It was full of fresh vegetables in a mild broth. Brian, the Manager/Bartender is friendly and attentive to patrons. Two ladies sitting near us recommend the wings and coconut shrimp. They say the Friday night fish is something you must try. Between the excellent service and tasty food, Skybox is a winner! Server started off by not writing down any of the order. Brought out the wrong food, and after 10 minutes returned with the same plates asking if we were sure it wasn't right. Upon re-explaining the order, the order delivered was missing the appetizer. The burger was dry, tasted like a frozen patty quickly tossed on the grill, and missing two of the specific add ons requested twice. My daughter and I came for lunch the other day. I ordered the buffalo chicken soup, it was awesome!!! The waitress was super nice, Allie..maybe Ally. I've been eating hear since they opened the place. My favorite was no longer on the menu, buffalo chicken wrap. They were nice enough to make it for me, anyway. It was AMAZING! I'm not even quite sure how to describe this place. Apart from the food having zero flavor, I want to address the staff. The bartender was clearly wasted. She was continuing to do shots the entire time we were there. Her clothes did not fit her and she looked like she just rolled out of a dumpster and had scabies. She was swearing at the top of her lungs the whole time we were there and couldn't be bothered to check on us. The worst part was the vape hanging out of her waistband on the back of her way too small shorts. The waitress was wearing an oversized sweatshirt that said hot mess on the back and did not take her hood off the entire time, probably because she looked too high to function. Just seems to me like there should be some sort of standard. I know that times are tough as far as staffing goes, but I felt dirty after I left there. Scrap the whole darn staff and start over! Absolutely the worst experience ever. I order from this place on DoorDash once a week and decided to go in for the first time last week. Came in with my Husband and two kids. The place was dead there was one couple eating at a table and maybe 3 patrons at the bar. We sat for 20 minutes and no one said a word to us. I usually wouldn't even wait that long but loading up a 6 week old and 2 year old isn't the most fun so I waited. The worst part is the bartender clearly seen us and made eye contact with me several times.. she never said a word. Not even hey let me go tell the server you're here, or hey she's here alone it may be a minute. Nope, just stared at us and said nothing. Additionally, why was the server in the back for 20 minutes. If you're the only server you should be popping out to check that people haven't walked in. I have spent literally $70 a week here which this bar clearly needs as it's dead and completely filthy. Decided to stop in for a couple drinks, big mistake. As soon as we walked in my shoes were sticking to the floor. We found 2 seats open at the bar, nothing was there to indicate someone was sitting there. The bartender who was very nice took our drink order, about half way through them a lady in a rude tone said "Ummm Excuse Me, we were sitting there." I apologized and started gathering my things as she stood glaring and then said something about her phone that had been on the edge of the inside of the bar. Meanwhile there was another female there in short shorts literally leaning over the bar with a man seriously drunk slurring still being served with a puppy jumping back and forth on their laps. While it's a bar the offensive language was much. While cashing out noticing just about everyone at the bar already had been over served. So yeah will never be back more because of the other customers there and lack of control over the bar. read more

This was my first and last time there. Our family went for the all you can eat fish fry. After our food came out, our waitress Marisa apparently decided she no longer had to wait on us. Drinks NEVER got refilled. We were never asked if we wanted more fish or if we needed anything else. She had other tables near us, but it almost seemed like she was hell bent on not making eye contact with our table. It wasn't until a member of our party finally had yelled after several attempts to get her attention. When she approached, she did not ask about drink refills or more fish. We asked for the bill and left. I know they were busy, but I heard several people ask if they could help her and she refused every time. On a side note, the food was amazing. read more

Not sure how they got my last review removed, so I'll add it again for the sake of the community. We were new to the area so wanted to try all the new places, so we stopped in. Noticed that it was under new management so they must have had problems before. Well, like most of the other reviews back then, service was the biggest issue. Service was really slow, our orders were incorrect, food was just meh, nothing special. Now if the service was great/good, might consider going back to try different food, but we could hear everyone around us complaining about the service as well. Wanted to try a new place with my son for breakfast and decided on the Coney place in the plaza catty corner to the Skybox. We ended up leaving there since every booth and table full and nowhere to really sit and wait for one to open up. Place is pretty small. Headed to the Skybox again since we had somewhere to be in the area and didn't want to drive back into White Lake or head down M59 to Hartland. It was a little after 11AM today/Saturday. The place was pretty empty with just a handful of customers sitting in the main area and bar counter. Concrete floor by the waiting area benches just past the front door vestibule was disgustingly sticky. I noticed the carpet on both sides was still pretty dirty/gross looking, too. Either rip it out or hire a service to come clean it at LEAST quarterly. But the damage looks to be done/permanent. Service was congenial enough, but sloooow throughout. Definitely slow enough to give me enough time to notice the not so clean table (probably 'cleaned' half-assedly with an already dirty rag) and allowed me to touch the blinds covering the window by my booth (dusty to the eye, built up, and sticky...which means no maintenance dusting is taking place). I was kind of dreading receiving the food. Table next to us with a party of about 6 or 7 with a child seemed to have somewhat lagging service as well. Thank goodness for all of us it wasn't slammed. Server forgot my soda after bringing my coffee. Coffee was super mediocre tasting, almost bad, and definitely not a fresh pot. Never understand places who go through the trouble of adding a breakfast/brunch shift, but fail on important mainstays like coffee. At the very least give me a piping hot cup so that when I add my creamer it doesn't taste like I just let it sit for 10 minutes. Anyway, the Farmers omelet I ordered was good and the red potatoes were cooked well, but not a smidgen-seasoning of salt was on them. My son said the pancakes were tasty, although they still seemed a little dry. We got the kids order which consisted of 3 normal sized looking pancakes. Truly, 3 mini pancakes, 2 normal pancakes, or 1 large one shaped into a Mickey Mouse head would've sufficed for a 5 year old (and probably cut down on Skybox food costs). They have the activity mat with crayons to keep the kiddies occupied. Out the door, the bill was just under $14, which seemed a little bit low. Not sure if my soda was comped (was asked if I still wanted it after I started digging into my food after I'd place my order for everything at once). In a nutshell: Seems this place is in stasis with no real ambition to improve on things. Another last resort restaurant in my book. read more

Stopped in on our way home the morning after a concert at the Palace. The place was clean and not overly crowded (it was a Sunday afternoon). We picked a seat and ordered, a California Reuben for me with beer battered fries, and an order of chili cheese fries for my wife. Big Plus for this place was the popper that allowed you to have a bowl of fresh popcorn at your table to munch on for free. I'm sure this helps the drink sales too! Our food FINALLY came (it seemed to take longer than it should have), and I bit into the Reuben with enthusiasm. Unfortunately, it wasn't very good. The turkey was way to think sliced and smokey, and the cole slaw was almost tasteless. Not a good start. The fries we're pretty good, but my wife's chili cheese fries were pretty bad. There was a heaping mound of the things, but the chili was the same chili you'd order in a cup (which I wouldn't do in this case), and the overall flavor was just sort of "blah". Been there, tried the food, and won't be back any time soon. I'm sure they have a loyal following, there will just be two less in that particular category! read more

Chicken wings were under cooked, wonton wrapped cheese sticks were undercooked, potato skins were undercooked. Waitstaff was useless and couldn't comp the food. Great food but horrible Bloody Marys! Mine tasted like spicy water with a splash of tomato juice. The waitress had them add more tomato juice and it still tasted the same. Would have been nice of her to take it off my bill. I didn't ask her to, but with it sitting at the edge of the table and me telling her it was still awful, you would have thought she would have.
