Lunch special- chicken salad sandwich, broccoli cheddar soup, Caesar salad.

Sparkies, a phenomenal restaurant nestled within a strip mall. When you walk in you're welcomed with a warm smile from the friendly staff. As you step inside, you're immediately captivated by the inviting decor and the grand bar that lines the left side. Having visited Sparkies multiple times, I can confidently say that every meal I've had here has been an absolute delight. Today, we decided to indulge in their enticing lunch special, which offers a mouthwatering combination of a sandwich, soup, and salad for just $10. Where else can you find such a generous and delicious meal for just $10? The food arrived promptly, and each dish was a testament to Sparkies' culinary expertise. I opted for the chicken salad sandwich, accompanied by a steaming bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and a refreshing Caesar salad. Every bite was a delightful experience, leaving me thoroughly impressed and eager to return to this gem of a restaurant.

Phew. Beware establishments were the proprietorship is listed on the door, but the kitchen manager has been hastily scraped off. I ordered a sirloin steak and Bleu salad, expecting a nice manly meat slab on a bed of mixed greens. What showed up was 3 oz of raw steak and meteors of gorgonzola on a bed of curly endive so thick you'd swear it was a field in Gilroy. I table tossed it and tried a bite. I expected the tasty meats and Bleu dressing. What it came off as was an uncut choad that's so small that the ball hair coarse endive growing up the sides gags you- and as a bonus, the head comes back and you get the schmegma like blue cheese concoction as a parting gift. Mixed greens means a lot of things. This wad of late season stalky endive is not it. I've never looked at a companions arugula and beets and said to myself: I'm jealous. To wash this travesty down with, they brought me an alleged blue sapphire and tonic: which was actually some sort of gin with flat sprite. Zero bubbles, and sweet. Not for nothing, asked for a slab of ribs to go as I was starving, and got informed they were out of French fries. Not that I eat French fries, but what sort of Sysco centric kitchen runs out of fries? Please hire a food and beverage manager, or your restaurant is gonna die. The manager in congeniality comped a whopping $5. Used to be a decent place. Now it's just a glittery shithole.

Definite improvements!! In the past I've had some negative experiences at Sparkies (undercooked burger, overcooked steak) but in the last year or so we gave it another try and so far all our recent experiences have been good! So I'm back to recommending Sparkies again. Last night the three of us ordered the mozzarella wedges, and three entrees. All were very good. I had the ahi tuna bowl and it was good -- spicy and flavorful. My wife had the quesadilla with chicken and mango and it was good, and my daughter had the chicken parm sandwich which had a pesto on top of it. All in all, a good experience.

Had what was quite possibly the best ribs and fries I've ever had today. The fries were super crispy and tasty and the ribs were fall off the bone tender. I had them with honey molasses barbecue sauce which was sweet and a bit spicy. My husband had the jambalaya and thought it was delicious as well. Our server was fast and friendly. There were a lot of people in the restaurant for an early dinner so it was a bit loud, but not too loud for conversations.

We also really enjoy the food so the fact that they accommodate large groups really well makes it a well rounded choice for us. I ended up getting the Chicken Spanakopita and, as always, the Panko Encrusted Feta. I always fill up on their hot breadsticks (they are SO good!) that I end up packing up most of my entree for later. I did have some of the entree - the chicken is stuffed with spinach and feta. It was a great taste combination. The entree also comes with a side salad. In retrospect, I should have gotten that to go so I could enjoy it later. I'll do that next time. The feta appetizer was a chef's kiss - it is fried with panko breadcrumbs and served with honey drizzled all over. We had an incredible server who actually boxed up all our entrees for us so we could focus on our conversation and not clutter up the table. She was excellent!

We arrived around 2:30 on a Sunday and only had to wait a few minutes for a patio table. It was a perfect day to be in the patio but the fact that they have garage door type of windows also makes it even more open and gives you the feeling of being outside. The Highland House is part of a restaurant group so if you've been to one, you kind of know what to expect. They have fantastic bread sticks and if you don't try them with the garlic cream cheese spread you are certainly missing out! The food is always delicious and the portions typically allow you to bring a little home to enjoy later. our server in this day was very friendly and took decent care of us. We look forward to a return visit in the not too distant future!

The food and drinks are reliably tasty and consistent, and the service is fast and friendly. The expansive menu offers something for everyone-- classic bar fare with a twist, build-your-own pizza, lots of healthy options, and if you have any food issues, they can and will accommodate you. Some of my favorite menu items-- fresh & unique salads, wraps, and sandwiches, plus some of the best parmesan garlic boneless wings I've ever had. We've tried several different dishes over the years, and have never been disappointed. Their ranch dressing is a must-have add-on (even if you're just dipping your fries or wings... it's so good!) And they can really shake up a solid margarita! The building is huge, as it is an athletic complex with a games area, gym, and banquet center. The bar and restaurant space is in the front, offering plenty of bar, booth, and tabletop seating for both small and large groups. We avoid the nights when the corn hole/fowling area is being utilized because it tends to get so loud from all the people playing & cheering, you can't even hear yourself think! All in all, The Lift remains one of our go-to spots for a quick meal that satisfies! Bring your friends, hang out, watch a game, and grab some grub! :)

It feels like we are clubbing in here. Can't have a conversation really. The corn chips are not fresh, could be better if they were freshly made. I want the chips to be good. The elote seems to be mixed with the queso, which is really runny. It tastes better, but could be thicker. The guacamole is average, not a lot of flavor to it. Main food orders in after about 15 minutes after we were seated. The flautas are super dry, the chicken that is. The chicken isn't even jerky like, just bark like burnt. The lobster quesadilla tastes rather interesting. On closer examination after the odd texture of the lobster, it had the strangest layers to it, reminds me of the Krab. Something quite odd about their lobster for sure, comes across to me as imitation meat. Hard to describe how weird it was to me, has completely left me at a loss and utterly confused. Meat doesn't have the chew I expected at all, mostly disintegrated in my mouth without biting it and the odd layers really threw me off exceedingly. My husband asked our waitress about the nature of the lobster meat to Nikki. She asked the kitchen if the lobster meat in the quesadilla and enchiladas was real lobster meat. The kitchen of course said yes, it is. I wouldn't have expected anyone to say the lobster meat was imitation though. Such a strange meal and experience tonight.
