The most amazing experience EVER. I've always wanted to skydive and unknowing of the skydive options in Kauai my husband mentions their ad and says. "why not....there's no better place than Kauai." ....and he was right!! My family followed me to watch me jump and were a bit skeptical by the trailer on the airport that their services are run out of, but it's nothing compared to their excellent services. Enzo and Mike are amazing jumpers. They both make you feel extremely comfortable and safe from the ground, the ride up, and once you land. I HIGHLY recommend Sky Dive Kauai to everyone. If there are any doubts, they should be washed away with this company. My husband, who also said he would never go skydiving ended up going with me along with my brother and sister-in-law....my brother....by the way...is terrified of heights and wouldn't even do the zipline there with us!! haha...... One look at the tandom jump with people slowly gliding down at the end and all your cares are set aside. The only scary part about the jump was actually signing the documents to jump. but lets face it, its taking a small risk but so is getting into your car everyday. The people that are up there with you strapped also want you and themselves to be safe. They're constantly checking the wind and weight of each person to make sure it's safe to go up. When my boyfriend and I initially arrived, Dave rescheduled us due to high winds for safety purposes. The team said the 5:45 am drop was the best drop of the day so we took it. They were right. It was AMAZING and the most incredible experience. The island was still, beautiful, and ours for a moment. Full disclosure, skydiving was completely out of my comfort zone. I can't imagine a better place to do your first jump than over the Kauai coast. Josh got me all signed up and was just kind of hilarious throughout (talking/singing to himself as he went about packing parachutes, editing videos, etc.). My jumping guide was Will, who did a great job of keeping things light as we ascended to jumping altitude (10,000 ft) over a 20-minute plane ride. He made the somewhat unnatural act of jumping out of a plane seem like a perfectly normal thing to do on a beautiful Wednesday morning, so when it came time to jump, I didn't feel any undue hesitation or anxiety. The experience with Skydive Kauai was very good! My wife surprised me with tandem skydiving for our honeymoon in October, 2020. It was the first time for both of us so we honestly had no idea what to expect. We had a very early 6:00am appointment. When we arrived, we checked in and filled out waivers that were honestly very scary and intimidating since every page reminded us of how dangerous skydiving is, but that was to be expected. The location, facility and planes aren't particularly fancy by any means and can be a put off initially, but the experience was well worth it. We were then set up with all the gear and given very brief safety demo. The instructors are all very friendly and knowledgeable and try to make you feel as safe as possible. The views of the island and ocean were the absolute best part of the experience. The whole experience takes less than an hour if everything is on time. If you want to skydive and can afford it, I highly recommend doing it on Kauai! read more

We got the most incredible views of Kauai from the plane and then floating above the island. The waivers are a little terrifying, but I'd rather they be honest. DO IT. You really won't regret it! I was the girl who said "not me!" about sky diving. I'm also the girl who gets nervous for every take off and landing on a commercial jet! I am also the girl that refuses to go to Six Flags because i don't like roller coasters. Here's the deal: sky diving is NOT like a roll coaster. There is no stomach drop like in a roller coaster. There is no being yanked/jerked around. Anyhow... so why did I decide to jump out of a plane? Well, I am here in Kauai with the hubby on my honeymoon and I figured if I am every going to go sky diving, it should be in a BEAUTIFUL setting so that the view is nice on the way down... my guy has gone twice before, but he said this location is the prettiest. I also figured, I should stop saying "I will never do..." because that's just stupid. If I can take the plunge into marriage, then I can certainly sky dive. BTW, they don't operate out of a school bus anymore; it is now a white trailer. The owner is a retired member of the US Skydiving team. He has even won some medals -- a gold or two I believe for formation sky diving! He started this business back 5 years ago and it has just been growing every year. This is also THE PERFECT HONEYMOON activity! The plane only seats two jumpers (tandem) so you don't have to share the plane ride with any other jumpers! They also take video of the jump, which I recommend you purchasing especially if it is your first jump. It was HILARIOUS to see my face as I realized it was time to jump out. It really feels empowering to know that you can conquer this fear. Plus the view is just unbelievable. You jump out over the coast line, so you see the amazing blue water and the lush greenery. (The plane ride was pretty too -- we got to see Waimea Canyon from up high.) Enzo was the professonal tandem jumper that took me. He really made me feel safe. Erin, my hubby, also thought highly of his guide, Mike. TIP: Go as early as possible because they tend to get a little backed up as the day goes on. TIP #2: Don't be freaked out by the overwhelming "You might Die!" waiver. The owner has to protect himself... but he obviously wants everyone to be safe. He lives in Kauai -- this is not a shady guy that is going to skip town. TIP #3: If you are NOT going sky diving, but your partner/friend is... be forewarned: they will try to convince you to go. I think it is all in good fun, but I saw one lady get a little annoyed by their persistence. So if you aren't going up, just realized you will be hazed and have a good attitude about it. They just want everyone to have a good time, its not to be mean. ADVICE TO DAVE, THE OWNER: We absolutely loved our video, but as soon as you can upgrade the video camera, invest in a high-definition camera... We think your customers would like high definition in their DVDs. THANKS! read more

This is a classic case of "Don't judge a business by it's gutted school bus office..." I call to make an appointment and get directions and they are super friendly and all but Tim was a bit distracted... as I'll find out when I get there... there's a good reason for that. They tell you that they are "on the right" and while this is true, what they don't tell you is that the entire operation is run out of a gutted school bus. This tends to put doubt into the mind of one who is about to put their life on the line. Never the less I signed the million waivers that clearly stated "YOU COULD DIE" and strapped in. You actually watch the guys fold up and pack the shoots right behind the bus... under the tarp... You will then proceed to the airplane that you are going to jump out of... which is a gutted small ass plane (see a pattern?) There is enough room for the pilot to sit and then 4 other people... and you sit on the floor, ass to crotch style, 2 on each side. Don't try and stretch your legs out.., won't happen, no room. As if you weren't scared about jumping out of a plane to begin with... the flight up is amazing. You fly right over the Waimea Canyon and the cost. Both times I've jumped I've gone in the morning as the sun was rising... there is no sight like that in the whole world. Then the moment comes, you want to turn back, but there's no room and no time and the guy strapped to your back isn't about to let you back out now! ARE YOU READY? I don't even think they wait for an answer because before you know it you are free falling at 250 MPH and breathing the freshest air and seeing some of the most beauty you will ever see. The free fall starts with some rolls and after the shoot opens you can do twirls and spins if you want. They will even let you steer. They take a DVD of your jump with a cam corder strapped to their hand and I highly recommend that you buy it... that's how I convinced my dad to jump with me. You can never relive that rush, but you can watch it over and over... Tim runs everything himself and is a busy man, but if you want the experience of a lifetime, call him up, make an appointment (like I said, early morning is well worth it) and throw yourself out of a perfectly good airplane... or one that's not so perfect ;-0 read more

Isaac, Matty, Wayne, and Dave (I could totally be botching the last two) were an awesome group of guys and helped make my first skydiving experience that much better. My brother and I were extremely excited for our first jump and Kauai seemed like the perfect place to do it--we were right. I highly recommend going early in the AM right as the sun rises because it's beauty like nothing else you'll see and no waiting in line for the folks ahead of you. You get to the field, meet the guys who are super nice, sign your life away (literally) and start preparing for the jump. Don't count out the plane ride up, it was incredibly scenic, peaceful, and got you in a great state of mind. The whole thing goes by pretty quick but that 30 seconds of pure adrenaline is mind blowing. WELL worth it and no better company to do it with. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My first skydiving experience and what other place than to do it in beautiful Hawaii! There is a 48 hour no cancellation fee or they still charge you,when you book it they take down your credit card. We actually decided the day before we were going to do it so there was no going back.. The first impression was totally sketch, it was basically a portable in the middle of an open field, but like the reviews day Don't just a book by it's cover. The jump itself is 229 + tax, and the DVD is 79 bucks it's like 109 for Pictures and the DVD, the total for everything will be $371 if you get the dvd and pictures. Plus they expect a 20-25 dollar tip. So I would say it would run you up about 400 bucks if you go all out. (Which crazily was more than my round trip ticket to Hawaii) So with that said, the price is rather steep, but they are the only Skydive business on the whole island so I don't blame them. The jumpers were nice, but you can tell that it's just a routine for them, which I don't blame them. You are jumping out of a plane 5-6 times a day to probably annoying tourists so being bright and cheery probably isn't a priority. I would say my safety is first, but they got the job done. Other than that the staff was super chill, nothing to really complain about. They have a porta potty if you need to pee and most likely you will. They also make you weigh yourself before cause if you're over like 200 pounds or something like that, you probably have to pay more. All in all, a great experience. The contract was probably the craziest one i've ever signed. TRY IT OUT for all you adrenaline chasers. read more

We were a group of 4 - 2 first time divers, and 2 more experienced divers. The crew was so friendly, and made us feel comfortable from the first moment we walked in. They were quick and thorough about the paperwork and answered every question (and concern) that came up with a smile. They say to anticipate up to a 4 hour wait, but we did not have to wait at all. The jump was incredible - a must do in beautiful Kauai!! Even while we were on the ground waiting to head up, the crew was so engaging and offered tons of suggestions for the rest of our time on the island. While we were in the air, they took extra measures to demonstrate the safety equipment, point out beautiful landmarks, and get us ready for the plunge. This team made an amazing activity even more special. I can't recommend this enough! read more

I believe this is the only place you can skydive from in Kauai. With that said, our (my gf and I) experience there was great. The plane that you ride in is very small, but looks awesome and was very smooth ride going up. The view that you witness as you descend back down to the ground is just breathtaking! It is a bit pricey, but worth definitely worth it. Pay extra for the video so you can relive that moment forever! Some advice for the ladies out there: DO NOT WEAR A V-NECK! I felt like my boobs were all up in the video. My mom even commented, "I'm surprised your boobs didn't fall out!" (which they didn't). If you do plan on wearing a v-neck, make sure the straps go across your chest and not under your boobs. Seriously. When the instructor deployed the chute, I felt my boobs at my chin. It's not a comfortable feeling, but it was also my fault for not being more mindful of this :) read more

Enzo really put my wife's mind at ease, allowing her to get really into it and relax, knowing that he would explain every step to her and amping her up for the jump. Total professional and amazing guy. Wayne was also great and really helped make the jump the highlight of my trip! The view is incredible, the guys you jump with are awesome. My only problem is the owner. I'm sure he's a great guy and I just happened on a sore topic, but don't tell him if you are from Los Angeles. He's from Orange County and doesn't have fond memories. I love Los Angeles. I've lived many places, and I choose to live there because it is so good to me and I love it so much. I totally dig it isn't for everyone, and I'm not particularly fond of where I grew up either, but MAN, he wouldn't shut up about how horrible LA is. For a solid 10 minutes, he went on and on about how the city I love is a dump and a horrible place to live. The group of girls I was with tried to smooth it over and look for common ground, but ultimately we were all incredibly uncomfortable. I think he realized I was not super happy about this halfway through, and he kind of trailed off....but the customer service could go up a notch there. Also, be ready to be sold some stuff. The jump is expensive and the price on the website doesn't include taxes/fuel surcharge (it does state this). Cool. It is still an amazing experience....but it helps to know that it is like 15-20 more. I also think 80 bucks for video from a jump that is already comparatively more expensive is a bit much, but he does offer couple deals if you can find them (and he honored it for us). It is 5 bucks to upgrade from DVDs to USBs. Photos aren't included if you get the video, that's an optional add on later. Looking at mine, I probably could have saved the money and just captured one or two choice shots from the video (they are different cameras, but very similar in content). My wife's picture are so full of amazing hilarious moments that I can't imagine having captured all of them. So your mileage may vary. He was reasonably cool about the sales (some might consider him a bit pushy, some might say he just doesn't want you to leave without a memory you will pretty much definitely want later)...but it would have dampened any other experience. When you're mainlining adrenaline and endorphins from an experience like no other though, you put up with little things like this. It's expensive, the owner might be cranky, but the view is insane, the instructors make you feel safe and energized (and have thousands of jumps under their belts). Do it. read more

We bring our friends and family to Kauai when we visit and I will be sure to let them know that if your looking to get a verbal beating, the manager Josh is your guy. He will roll out the red carpet of verbal coals and burn your self esteem. This is the perfect place to go if your looking for a sadistic human to walk you into a verbal stair case that leads to a pit of his lack of understanding. If you're a board lawyer looking to argue with ignorance, this is your guy. Josh, the manager, is probably the meanest person I've met in my life. I've worked hospice for the past 10 years. I understand the value of not taking life for granted and living life to the fullest. I had to cancel my reservation and did my best to keep as close to the 48 hours as possible as my husband and I value peoples time and work. I showed up the morning of because we were originally jumping as a party of 4 and the other 2 of our party were still jumping. I was there for support and also to take before and after photos for my sister. I was so excited for her. I have to wait another year before I can jump so I wanted to enjoy her experience. While I was there, Josh decided it was a great idea to badger me as to why I even booked if I knew I was going to cancel. I tried to explain to him my situation. I did not book to cancel. I was jealous that I didn't get to jump. He told me that, "I had no excuse not to jump." He made me feel like I was chickening out and that I had wasted his time. Even though I gave notice and they had no problem filling my spot. He told me I had wasted his time, yet the tandem jumpers stated they had a full busy day. As much as I tried to apologize and answer his questions as well as make him understand we honor small business and time, he continued to make me feel small. He got to the point that he asked us all to leave. My sister insisted she wanted to jump, her boyfriend kept his cool. He continued to berate me from the time they checked in to the time that they were getting set up. He continued to question and berate me for a good 30 minutes. Honestly, if I had not seen how well the pilot and the 2 certified divers were, we all would of left. The pilot let me check the plane which by the way is a beautiful little thing. For people who don't know planes you might think it looks sketch but that plane is beautiful/sound. This experience was completely ruined for me. My husband and I visit the island every 3 or 4 months. He lost 2 customers plus people who read this review. I really hope Josh gets sent to a customer service class cause that's all it would take. read more

I made my first jump 4/4/10. Awesome doesn't even touch the experience. Someone posted that the staff was "chilly", but I found just the opposite. Mike (who I jumped with), Enzo, and Dave...enhanced the adventure. They made me feel like I was a long lost relative! If it is your first jump...GET THE VIDEO !!! There is mucho sensory overload. You can watch the video, when your pulse slows down, and enjoy the experience again. Mike and Enzo are not only great jumpers, but they are superb photographers. Amazing experience for the first time Skydiving! My girlfriend and I decided to skydive on our vacation and ended up having an amazing time! The people are very friendly, safe, and accommodating! We had initially planned on jumping on a Friday but because of wind conditions they were nice enough to have rescheduled for the first jump on Sunday which is HIGHLY recommended if you want to watch the beautiful sunrise on one of the most beautiful islands while skydiving.
