I would love to like this salon. Unfortunately, I have had no luck getting through to anyone at the salon. I have called several numbers and no one ever answers. I have been trying to make an appointment with Elvia and I have emailed her and left a voice mail to no avail. So, I have to say that customer service is lacking greatly. I just moved here and saw the reviews for Elvia. So I contacted her via email and she responded right back. She even contacted me again when there was a cancelation so I could get in sooner. I got there and she was on time no waiting! She was super nice with a light touch and took a few minutes to talk with me and take a close look at my hair. She gave me suggestions and then went over how much she would take off to make sure I was comfy with it. She dry cut some then not only washed my hair but scrubbed it and put in a hair mask for a few minutes b/c she said the shampoo I was using was clogging it. She was right! Then she finished cutting and styled. I felt really comfortable with her and at her salon. I will definitely go back. You can tell she knows what she's doing and my hair looks ten times better even days later. I have wavy long layered hair. Charged $60 plus I added tip. So slightly pricey if you're a student like me but I understand why she charges that much b/c she's good and deserves it! Ok that's all for now :) read more

Elvia is AWESOME. She is so attentive and does a great cut. I've been there twice and both times she's spent at least 15 minutes giving me advice on how to take care of and style my hair. Plus she gave me the exact cut I asked for! Even a trim that gave the illusion that she didn't shorten my hair! Plus she's cheaper than most of the salons around here. Double plus: she works on Saturdays and I got an appointment for two Saturdays away when I emailed her. I am a new M-F 9-5 girl so I have a new appreciation for places where I can get Saturday appointments. read more

Skye Salon is awesome. I'm a 19 year old college student and I have been seeing Elvia since I was approximately 12. She helped me through my awkward pre-teen phase where my hair transformed from being really straight to curly. My mother did not know how to handle and style curly hair, but Elvia completely saved my transformed hair through a very precise but still natural looking cut while explaining different hair products and easy to do methods to keep my, then, frizzy hair under control. Since then, every hair cut I have had from her I have adored. she makes my hair lay correctly and frame my face while still keeping it up to date with current trends. Recently, I went to another salon in the city (Public Barber Salon) impulsively, and that resulted in a complete disaster full of butchered hair and uneven layers and bangs. (lets just say I cried for days and am still regretting going there four months later). Anyways, after trying to let that horrible hair cut grow on me and having my still hate it week after week, I just knew I had to go see Elvia so she could work her magic and perform a miracle on my disastrous hair. When I went in, she was charming and sweet as always and sat me down, listened to me drone on about how I hated my hair and why, then she suggested what had to be done. She needed to cut off 3 more inches of my hair (if you saw the cut you'd understand why) to make it fuller and how I would like it. And since I have complete and utter trust in her abilities, I readily agreed even though I really am missing my long hair. Yes, my new cut would be a lot shorter, but Elvia did exactly what I wanted and needed and now my hair is even where it should be and much more manageable and it's growing out superbly. I lost a total of 6 inches when i just wanted a trim by going to the other salon in the city, and I am never making that mistake again. I will always go to Elvia and never act impulsively again because she knows what she is doing, explains mistakes that other stylists often make and makes sure you leave looking infinitely better then when you walk in. I just came from Skye Salon, and I was serviced by Antoinette. She is amazing!!. Not only was she warm, and extremely curteous. But she knew exactly what she was doing!!. I moved to CA 3 years ago, and I have gone to many stylist. Some of which, could color; some that could cut; others that could straighten, but Antionette does it all. I have very cury hair, and its extremely sensitive, but I left the salon "completely satisfied", and impressed with all the extra things she provided. Noemi is the greatest! Not only does she get my hair, which is wavy but she does a fantastic job at cutting it just right. If you have wavy or curly hair, you know how hard it can be to find a person to style it just right where your curls look nice. Noemi also does an excellent job at coloring my hair. Every time I go see her, I get compliments from men and women! Just the other day, I had an older gentleman tell me how nice my hair looked; the best part of it was that I hadn't styled it all, it was just normal. I CANNOT say enough good things about Elvia! I have quite wavy hair, that is very curly (ringlets) underneath, giving it an awful goofy triangle in the back and extending on the sides if I get a less-than-perfect haircut. In the past the has led me to even try to fix it myself with at-home cuts.... not good. BUT with Elvia everything has changed. She cuts curly hair dry, which is revolutionary and something I have never had anyone do. She totally understands the "wedge" that curly hair can make, and know exactly how to cut hair to avoid this. She has given me several trendy, shoulder-grazing cuts, has great style suggestions, and perhaps best of all is calm, responsive and really, really talks with you before she makes the first cut. She has cut my hair dry, then washed, dried, and styled it, showing me great products and styling tips but never pushing anything. She is easily the best stylist I have ever been to.
