One of the best views of the LV strip as well as a nice spot for a cocktail and a snack. We were set up outside on the open deck and despite the chill, the heaters did OK to keep everyone warm. What a gem! I discovered it when I was walking through a more deserted area of the Mandalay hotel and came across a huge advertisement plastered across an entire wall that advertised its city views. The entrance is near the Michael Jackson theater and there's a small stand for it with the words Skyfall behind it. To the right are the elevators to the bar, which was one of those glass elevators that gave you a near view of the Strip. Once I reached the lounge, I was definitely impressed. The views were as good as they advertised and they had a balcony area where you could step outside to get some nice pictures. The lounge itself was trendy and polished. They had a great selection of unique and creative cocktails. I can't remember the name of the drink I chose but it had blackberries in it and was delicious! Would have had another but was running short on time before dinner. read more

Stunning views, stellar ambiance and just the right amount of attitude...ok maybe just a tiny bit too much attitude for my taste, but the view really makes up for it It's located at the top of the DELANO adjacent to Rivea. So a great spot to catch a pre or post dinner cocktail or three. I was lucky enough to get there in time for happy hour, so I tried a few of their signature drinks and was not disappointed! My best dining companion and Somm friend was able to join me for these cocktails, and unfortunately was given a little attitude by our bartender when he inquired about some Amaros...(even I noticed the tone). He was also told they only had one type of amaro, but upon further inspection of the bar contents we noticed his favorite Nonino Amaro that he would have preferred. I'm sure he and the bartender had some sort of weird booze knowledge dick measuring contest going on, but as an innocent bystander, I felt like I got attitude by association. But like I said, the views made up for any service hiccup, and might I suggest that you remember to take your phone to the bathroom with you when you go because the view from the potty is out of this world! read more

Rooftops are ALL the rage in Chicago so naturally I look for rooftops anywhere I go. Vegas included as I call it home. I'm not sure why I waited so long to come up to the Delano. Skyfall is the place to be for a relaxed yet stimulating night. Think date night, girls night that involves lots of catching up, needing to impress your tourist guests, special occasion. Yup, you read that right, it's also very much appropriate for a special occasion as it is for a relaxed night out. It's open seating and has an in indoor and outdoor section. I saw heating lamps (funny for Vegas) if and when the elements interrupt. There's ample seating in both sections as well as along the bar. A section was closed off for a "private event" when we went. Service was good initially but our bartender essentially forgot about us and we had to ask another to close out our check since we wanted to re-situate outside. No one approached us outside to Take orders but I'm not sure that they generally do that. We also got a lot of "I'm not sure" when we asked about the establishment being open the following weekend. I felt all staff should be informed. We learned they have a sunset special, I suppose like a happy hour and I am looking forward to checking this out. Skyfall is perpendicular to a restaurant as well for bites. Mixed crowd as far as age is concerned as well as dress code. We saw a gentleman as casual as shorts but most folks were dressed appropriately. Most groups were couples or larger in terms of size. My girlfriend and I weren't expecting it at all but were approached for conversation by two men at one point. I don't see this as the place for open mingling or scoping out the crowd as groups feel intimate. But, whatever floats your boat! It wouldn't hurt to call in advance if you decide to go as a private party or closure can often be anticipated. We got lucky since we did not call ahead. Closes at 2 so it makes a great pre-game joint if overpriced bevie's are your thing. Have fun and take in the unique view! I enjoyed it regardless of having the arguably best view on the strip where I live, so that says a lot! read more

This used to be MIX LOUNGE. I got a not on-the-menu cocktail bc I wanted something sweet and not strong. It was super delicious. I didnt get the name of the bar tender but he made the drink and it was terrific. Drink was about $20 - expensive but normal for higher scale Vegas lounge. -not roof-top but at the top of the Delano hotel. -patio access -bathroom is really cool since you are peeing facing the window looking out/down to the view of the Mandalay hotel and pool -there is a dress code (except they did not enforce it when I came) -ambiance: up-scale lounge. Not too crazy bc it is at the Delano. Good place to go if you wanna get away from annoying young people and loud banging music. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. STAY AWAY and go somewhere else. Skyfall at the MGM Mandalay Bay is the worst. Spent $100,000 over the past 4 days at this property for a business trip. People on my team had the Penthouse Suite. Here's what happened: The food runner Alex Blandon singled my friend out because he was Asian. Alex had a power trip and was over the top aggressive hitting his tray against things making a scene. He threw out my friend for trying to take a picture on the patio of the Las Vegas skyline with our work team that travels from all over the US for a Shoptalk work event. One of our partners hosted the event, but Alex didn't want to listen at all and was rude. He tried to blacklist him without any authority while Alex was on a power trip. Johnny the nighttime manager was not helpful and didn't put us first as customers at all. One of the worst customer experiences I've ever seen or been part of in my life. read more

I was able to make reservations for a Thursday for our party of 6. They were very accommodating when I called to report we were running about 15 minutes behind. When we made it over to Delano/Mandalay Bay via the tram, the Skyfall elevator up to the 64th floor was closed so we didn't get to experience the view during the ride up. I would say other than to get some great pictures of this fantastic view, this lounge was not our thing. The drinks were just okay and we were charged a $60 cake cutting fee just because we brought it in with us. We very well could've cut our cake for the birthday girl later having known this. That kinda ruined our night after having a great time at the TOK show and just wanting a place to go to have cake, champagne and a birthday toast afterwards. Our waitress was very nice however and it wasn't on her that I failed to ask about bringing the cake in before I made the reservation so no stars taken off due to service. I probably will not return to this lounge but I'm glad I can say I visited at least once. I have stayed at Delano and Mandalay Bay many times but there are too many lounges in Vegas to not be able to find one more to our liking. read more

They made as wait 20 minutes for near empty bar. Elevator broke while we were in it and we stuck for 10+ minutes going up and down. Hostess were unhelpful to help to accelerate the service or make it even. Though view are amazing and free. But after scary elevator experience, not much joy in it. Take at own risk. read more

One of the best views of Las Vegas Strip. We were staying at Mandalay Bay so we decided to go to skyfall for a quick drink before the concert we were attending. Best decision ever. Skyfall Lounge is on the 64th floor and it has a great view. We got there around 6 and it was still happy hour so we ordered the charcuterie and buratta and pop quiz for drinks. Great spot! We had reservations for early Saturday evening. The team here was cool about our party size and dress code since it was so early. This is one of Vegas's hidden gems! My husband and I live in Vegas and celebrated our wedding anniversary here, along with a few friends. The view from 64 stories (I believe!) is absolutely breathtaking but it's the service, food and drinks that blow us away. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Chris, our bartender. He is amazing! He remembered all of our names in addition to all of the other people around us and introduced us to other people sitting at the bar. Also, he is an INCREDIBLE magician! He blew us away with his tricks, all the while making sure everyone had a full drink in hand and was taken care of. Clemente, another bartender (I believe) was also was kind enough to take photos of our group in front of the best view of the Strip. The food was absolutely delicious and they have an incredible drink menu. Our friend is severely allergic to peanuts or any kind of nut (she carries an epi pen with her at all times) and the staff was very knowledgeable about what she couldn't have and was very nice about making recommendations and being careful with our food. We stopped by Skyfall to enjoy a late night snack. The outdoor patio offers romantic seating and heaters to combat the chill in the air. The view was gorgeous!!! The service was perfect. We ordered calamari, chick pea fritters and a tiramisu for a sweet treat. The calamari and chick pea fritters were oily, bland and boring. The tiramisu was almost completely cream and a pretty poor excuse for a decadent dessert. We excused all of this because it's a lounge not a restaurant and the atmosphere created a completely perfect way to end a lovely day. read more

A quick stop on date night for my wife's b-day. Tremendous views from the 64th floor. As locals, we took an Uber from the house. FYI they drop you in front of the Mandalay Bay so there is a bit of a walk but it is nothing and all indoors. When you arrive, you check in before going on a very scenic 64-story elevator ride that showcases the strip. We made reservations ahead of time (recommended) and sat at an indoor table with a small sofa and a tremendous view. We only did drinks but the service was excellent. We didn't do food but the table next to us did and it looked delicious. It was nice and quiet. A very nice start to a date night. Look forward to going back. read more

Gorgeous view of the strip. We enjoyed our night cap here Saturday night. It wasn't too busy so we were able to get a table by the window. They do have tables outside but it was a bit chilly. They close pretty early even on the weekends. Our server said it was last call at midnight even tho there hours are posted open till 1:30am on Fri and Saturday. Not sure why last call was so early but that was a bit of a bummer. Nonetheless we got another drink and went to another bar. I guess when your charging $20+ a drink they can do away with closing so early?? I think this used to be the restaurant MIX. Not sure what happened to the restarant part. My husband ate here for a business dinner and had the worst experience ever. We've been going to Vegas for years and have never had worse service than this at any other restaurant. It was not simple fixes like hiring more experienced waiters, it was their way of doing business. They offered the entire table wine, but my husband doesn't drink wine and when he asked to order a cocktail, they refused to take his order until after they took all of the food orders first, as a result, he got his drink moments before his entrée came. They brought a bread basket that didn't even have enough pieces for each person at the table to have one piece. They did not give any butter with the bread. They were oddly skimpy with the water, and some people were drinking only water and asked for a full glass and couldn't even get that. They insisted the chef would only cook the steaks to one temperature and did not want to cook it to each person's preference. The entrée came out with salad on the dinner plate rather than a separate plate, so the lettuce was warm and swimming in the juices from the steak. The list could go on, but needless to say there are so so many other better restaurant options. A restaurant like this that wants to put on the appearance of being high end, needs to do way better at their service to be convincing that they are actually elite. read more
