I've had the opportunities to visit the Poodle Room again this past Saturday. We were hoping to catch the 9:00 pm fireworks display, but it was coming from Fremont Street and not the city sponsored large display. Outside that, which has absolutely nothing to do with the venue, other than they have giant windows with clear views of the strip, I'm sure fireworks here are fun. I enjoyed some light bites. I had four crispy tacos with shredded beef. They were insanely tiny, like you can wrap your hand around the taco. Certainly Tapas style, yet, extremely delicious. The shell was the crispiest thing I've had lately. My husband ordered the Steak frites. It came with thick cut fries and served with chimichurri sauce. Everything was delicious, The steal was prepared exactly as ordered and it was seasoned to perfection. The also shared a Mezze plate with the couple that invited us. There was hummus, and two other dips, pita, grilled veggies, pickles, and lots to munch on. I actually didn't partake in any of that, but it looked well thought out. We all tried a variety of drinks. I had a mojito with my tacos and prior to that I enjoyed the Aperol something or other Martini. It was frothy and slightly sweet. Truly delightful. Mojito was a mojito and well prepared. There were lychee martinis, passion fruit mezcal that my husband had, and well...maybe I can't remember because I had too many drinks. The service is phenomenal. Better be at the price point of membership and otherwise. It was a chill night, no celebrities jumped out and surprised me other than the poodle on the toilet seat in the bathroom. Haha! Our experience at Poodle Room was disappointing to say the least, especially as hotel guests who received an Amex Platinum invitation. After checking in at Fontainebleau, we passed by in our travel clothes with our luggage and displayed our invitation while asking about entering LATER that evening (LIKE AFTER WE CHANGE). We were told the venue was fully booked and not accepting walk-ins. Which contradicted what Fontaine Bleu receptionist said. We went back and unfortunately got a different receptionist I and they said it's VIP only, then why give us the card!?! Just five minutes later, my brother went over after checking in. He was dressed nicer because he planned to go to the club that night, and he also displayed the invitation. He was told they were accepting walk-ins. The difference in treatment was frustrating and made us feel like we were being judged based on our appearance. If there was a dress code, they should have simply told us that instead of saying the venue was fully booked. We changed for the evening and returned, and were then allowed in by a BETTER hostess. Later, we saw the prior hostess inside a nearly empty venue with only around 10 to 12 people, where she gave us a distant, cold look. The issue was not having to change clothes. It was being given what appeared to be an excuse rather than being told the actual policy. Just basic respect. For a venue at this level, I expected more honest, consistent, and professional treatment of guests. Don't expect the hostess with blonde hair inside to smile or not give you dirty looks. That's part of their "elevated" experience to feel unworthy. However, the bartenders and drinks were great. We asked them to make custom cocktails base on what we like and it was amazing! Service from only them were great. Would never come back. I can get the same quality, same ambiance, and BETTER service elsewhere. read more

I have been staying at the Fountainblue since they opened. Fountainbleu is my favorite hotel to stay in Las Vegas. This time they invited me to the Poodle Room. The front desk had informed me that there is to be no pictures to be taken and that it is very high and the decor is beautiful. I ended up visiting after I went to LIV nightclub. When I arrived at the Poodle Room at 1:00 am on a friday night, the gal at the front (the gate keeper) looked at me with her resting bitch face up and down and said, "You can go back to your room and find something business casual we have a dress code!" The rudeness, the resting bitch face, the up and down was so rude. I don't think people are even this rude at Excalibur or even at the clubs in Las Vegas, especially when your a girl. This experience really turned me off. If her job is to keep people away from the Poodle Room she did a great job! After much thought...I figure...is this even worth arguing or complaining about? ....getting rejected to go into a bar with a bunch poodles statues sitting around everywhere in a over priced bar? (maybe they did me a favor.. saved me from wasting my time and money) Can't see this place being around for the long term especially if they have resting bitch face girl working the front, Seriously...you want people to dress up, no pictures.. or videos...nobody even know how much the drinks are etc or what to expect...besides these pictures from yelp...seriously... ? read more

I came here for a private event party at nighttime. The FontaineBleau is the tallest hotel in Las Vegas and the Poodle Room is right there at the top. Let me put it this way. When you go in the elevator your ears will pop. This is a good thing because the views are spectacular. I wish my photo was better but the reflection on the glass window has distorted it. But rest assured it's amazing to see all the lights from so high up. The bartender and the waitresses serving the hors d'oeuvres were professional and classy. This whole place screams class. The bathroom is fancy. As fancy as they come. The bathroom attendant gives you a cloth towel to dry your hands, and once dried, it goes into the bin. Cloth towels! I'd say this place is notable for the high class luxury and amazing views. Be sure though to take a Sudafed prior to coming so you can be sure your ears don't stay plugged from the elevator ride up. read more

It's a private club which is a must do if you live in Vegas I was fortunate enough to go into this cute bar and have an espresso martini. I also was surprised to see the poodle on the toilet. A good place to dress up and look good. A little like the Playboy Club of yesteryear. A private club, where you need some VIP status to get in. A gold America Express member is one way. The view really is gorgeous. As is the whole place. I went on a quiet night, but on a busy night, the plan is to feel like you're among the rich and famous. 29 bucks for a watered down drink rubbed me the wrong way. On the other hand, the expense is part of the appeal. After all, this is Vegas baby, the place where money flows like honey off a spoon. If you like the taste and feel of a margarita, don't get that here. It didn't even taste like a margarita. Try the Old Fashioned, with the extra large ice cube. A nice presentation. But also a little weak for an Old Fashioned. The giant poodle sculptures add an odd but original feel. I hear that the women's restroom have interesting poodle sculptures in each stall. Even the bathrooms are gorgeous. Although, at the men's urinals, there is no divider between you and the adjacent urinal, so that's somewhat lacking in privacy. But maybe I'm interpreting it wrong, and this is another opportunity to show off. If you get my point. When I become a billionaire, I'm going to have a private party there. These days, I'm trying to get by on slightly less than that. Our waitress was gorgeous, and her mini mini skirt added to the Playboy Club feel. read more

Because we were staying as guests at the Fontainebleau through the Fine Hotels and Resorts program, at check-in, we were offered entry to the Poodle Room, an exclusive cocktail lounge at the very top of the hotel. There are other ways to gain access but I believe they involve memberships or dining in one of their high-end restaurants. Even with the invitation, you'll have to make reservations. And make sure you plan ahead because we weren't able to reserve a spot the same day as our check-in. You can either do it through a form submission and wait for an email response or you can ask the Concierge to assist with bookings. We tried to see if they would let us bring more people with us but unfortunately, they said no due to space (there was plenty of space when we went). Concierge also informed us that the dress code was casual elegant. The check-in counter is located in the hallway between the lobby and casino. The hostess will provide a sticker to cover your phone cameras (no pictures or videos!) and direct you to a private elevator that goes directly up to the bar. At the top, another hostess asked whether we would like sit in the main bar area or in the den-like area to the side. We picked the latter for a quieter, more secluded experience and got to enjoy some pretty amazing city views. The cocktail menu has some delicious drinks and if you're feeling hungry, they even have food options too. Prices are what you'd expect from a cocktail lounge in Las Vegas. Overall, a very cool experience but not something I'd go out of my way for. The no cameras rule enhances the exclusive experience but there wasn't really anything there that felt like it needed to be exclusive. The views are amazing though! read more

Live jazz or curated DJ sets. Floor-to-ceiling views that whisper "you've made it, baby." But don't get it twisted, it's members only, invite-only, or you better be rolling in from Ito Sushi with a $800 omakase & drink, and a look that says "my outfit costs more than your rent." Pre-game tip: Slide into Tangier Whiskey Bar downstairs or Bar Ito with Bartender Danny is a magician in Superman mood , warm, charming, and pours like he's trying to erase your student loan trauma. Then upstairs you go, to the land of poodles, martinis, and NOT a single damn selfie (oops, I did it again). That's right. They slap a "NO PHOTOS" sticker over your phone camera like it's Area 51 in there. Mine's still stuck on, and now my phone's just a $1,000 coaster. But honestly? Kinda iconic. Pros: * VIEWS. Like, you could spot your future from here. * Mid-century glam décor that would make Frank Sinatra rise from the grave for a Negroni. * Live band music, bougie vibes, and a dessert cart that rolls deeper than your ex's emotional baggage. Cons: * You can't just stroll in, unless you're Beyoncé or booked Ito. * Dress code? If you even think about Crocs, they'll send you to the Excalibur. * No photos, no videos, just vibes. And therapy later when you realize you couldn't record it. But if you're in, you're in. And it's worth it. Because what happens in the Poodle Room? They serve great cocktails and if you're hungry you are able to grab a few bites. As you sit, you are approached by a waiter who offers you some scrumptious chocolates. Unfortunately, the vibe doesn't match the aesthetic. While I understand the exclusivity aspect of this bar, it doesn't justify the staff being pretentious, dismissive, and unfriendly. We waited quite a while before being served, even though our waitress was standing at the bar talking with other staff for at least 10 minutes before acknowledging us, despite the bar being nearly empty. When we finally received our drinks, they were disappointing, and when we politely raised our concerns, the waitress seemed annoyed and uninterested. The staff could really benefit from customer service training to improve their friendliness, attentiveness, and professionalism. With better service, this place could easily live up to its potential and create an amazing experience that matches its beautiful setting. With that being said, I won't be a repeat customer. Visited the Poodle Room on Saturday, August 22, and it fell completely short of the exclusivity and luxury this place is supposed to be known for. From the moment our waitress approached, we were treated like we didn't belong. There was no greeting -- she just walked up and said "Do you want any food, the kitchen is closing soon?" before we'd even seen a menu. We were never brought water- we had to ask another waitress who was walking by. She tried to take my drink order while my husband had stepped away to look at the alcohol selection, and when he came back and asked about a specific liquor, she told him to just walk around the bar and look for it himself. We also noticed several open tables with a view -- they had later reservations attached but were sitting empty while we were there -- and asked if we could sit at one in the meantime. She said she would look into it, then never came back to follow up. She didn't try at all, and it showed in every interaction. We were genuinely excited for this experience, and instead we were made to feel unwelcome and like an afterthought from start to finish. read more

My husband and I stayed at Fontainebleau for one night and we luckily got an invite to this exclusive room. The place was quite difficult to find for its discreet and unlabeled location. Upon checking in, the hostess put stickers on our cameras since there are no photos or videos allowed at all. I liked this policy since it made the experience more private and intimate. It was a grand place with a stunning view. The menu offered a long list of drinks and tapas. We only had time to grab a cocktail but I'm glad we got to experience it! read more

This lounge is so amazing. It's on the top floor of the Fontainebleau Casino. It's a very swanky lounge. If given the opportunity again I would definitely go back. I did not get any of the food. Awesome bar with amazing views and tasteful drinks! Dress code is business/smart casual or trendy and when you arrive you will see exactly why! When I first arrived I was offered a welcome cocktail made with gin that was clarified. I have never had a drink like this (albeit I was skeptical) but it was suprisingly very smooth which went along with how sheek this establishment is. We received a tour of the lounge (courtesy of Jo Ann, sorry if I spelled that wrong) and it's pretty mind blowing with the different rooms they have available to in order to suit your vibe. You can even reserve rooms for your own event, get together, etc to create your own vibe! They all have a separate theme and with their own unique style and some even have DJs. The main room can either have live music or a DJ which compliments the luxurious atmosphere very well. I would love to describe the places but they want to keep it exclusive as even before entering there's a sign that says no pictures or videos but it's really impressive what they have done with the place. Not only that, the drinks are mixed incredibly with an extensive list of cocktails and spirits to choose from! You barely taste the alcohol yet you know it's there if that makes sense. Even the Ito room had all kinds of Japanese whiskeys I hadn't since I was in Japan. If you do get in, the Mika and Flauna and Fauna were amazing drinks that I tried! You'll thank me later if you check it out. It also helps with having such friendly (and respectfully attractive) hostesses, hosts and service staff and management keep the vibes going. Lastly, and one of the most important points, are the incredible views. I did not realize how tall this hotel and casino was until you get up there and see how short the other hotels around are in comparison. You can get an amazing view either looking downtown or over the strip so pairing these views with an amazing cocktail was worth every second. I also love the different variations of poodles you see in this places. It's just really so unique and different, I am still pretty blown away by it. All in all, this is an incredible experience so if you have the opportunity (or membership) to go, it's worth doing! read more

Remarkable experience! My wife and I were invited to attend Poodle Room during our recent stay at Fontainebleau; a perk being an American Express's Fine Hotel and Resort guest. We decided to start our Saturday night at Poodle Room with cocktails and small plates, and ended up staying hours later because the live music, ambiance, and cocktails made for an incredible time. We tried the Hamachi Sashimi, Pigs in a blanket (whoa!), Short Rib plate, and desert cart-- all of which were 5/5 or 10/10; whatever your scale, these were perfect. Cocktails were on point and 'hittin hittin' so we had several ;). Service was great and also very much enjoyed the cigar room, the patio out back, and the views from restroom and the den.. Would prove all of this to you, but they do not allow photos/videos, which I really appreciate. Really hoping for another opportunity to visit Poodle Room again in the future. read more

Though, you wouldn't come here for a dinner, per se, but pre dinner.. like if your dinner reservation is at 10pm, and you go to Poodle room at 8:30pm while everyone is getting ready and Poodle Room is your rendez vous point. OR if you've gone to dinner... Like an omakase and you're still starving because 12 pieces for $240 doesn't fill you up... Such a beautiful space - the view alone is AMAZING and what makes it even more alluring is the secrecy of it all! No pictures allowed and it seems like the less people know of it, the better. We toured the space in the afternoon when the restaurant/lounge were not open, so I can't speak to the food or service, but considering it's the (a) Fountainebleau property, I'm sure it would've been fabulous! read more
