UNFORTUNATELY he doesn't understand how to wear a mask. His MASK WAS ON HIS CHIN not covering his mouth or nose NOT ONCE! We took city buses everywhere all over the city for nine days and every driver and every rider was properly wearing their masks. We were impressed with this. Way to go San Francisco. MUIR WOODS is a must to visit. You truly need more than 90 minutes though. We were told by GEORGE that the staircase to the right in the trail is an hour walk. We must of misunderstood him, for that trail is a few hours and we turned around when we asked other hikers how much further. They said it was not an hour trail and to turn around. We did and barely made it back within our 90 minutes. So don't take the long right staircase unless you plan on turning around. It was quiet and gorgeous and we were alone most of the time on the trail. Seems the tour lost two international travelers. They never came back. GEORGE called the company to inform them of who was missing. He waited at least 15 minutes or more past the time we were to leave. We hope they made it back safe.

Of all the times I've been to the Bay/Oakland, I've never taken the Ferry until now. If you've…read morenever been and not sure how it works, let me tell you what to do to make it way easier on yourself on your first Ferry ride. 1. Download the app SF Bay Ferry 2. Look at the schedules. Tip if you're taking the Ferry to the SF Giants game, look for the baseball next to the schedule. This Ferry line drops you off right at the ballpark with very little walking. 3. After the game, look for the Special Events Ferry, that takes you back to Alameda/Oakland after your late night event. 4. Pay via apple pay or load your credit card 5. Cost is $4.00 That's It! Super Easy When arriving in San Francisco, you'll arrive at Gate G which is close to Mission Street. There is a Marketplace at the Embarcadero with shops, restaurants, cafes, and photo ops. The ride was quicker than I thought and the breeze and views are way cool. I got some great shots. There's a lower and upper deck on the Ferry and concessions on the lower level that serve alcohol, coffee, soda, specialty drinks and snacks. There is a place for bikes but be educated knowing that passengers with bikes are the last to embark and depart off the Ferry. I did have to wait for a very long time on the line at the turntable to go back to California though... might have been about a 30 minute wait, but once we were riding on it back to California St, everyone on the car was cheering & having such a great time. The cable cars are iconic & they're a must do when you are in SF!! *** Friday -,My experience riding around on the cable cars today was so much fun but I actually didn't get to ride on this line until later today! A stop at the top of Nob Hill is just a block away from where I'm staying, and so we bought a day pass ($15) because we figured we'd be able to ride the rails at least twice. here were a lot of people waiting to ride, and several cars passed us by because they were too full, so we ended up crossing the street and taking a different and less crowded line which didn't take us exactly where we wanted to go, but we were able to connect to the F line and get to our destination. We were able to pick up a car on this line at Union Square and it toted us up the hill to California Street. It was a short & bumpy, but fun ride. So I'll leave a review for the other line as well. We road scooters up just after they started but got to here like 4 songs! We road back to Union Square, it was totally worth the $60! We bought the round trip through the app! If your wirh a larger family or want round trip I highly recommend the app & 1 day pass. 1 way trip is $9 but the all day on/off all the muni transit & cable cars was only $15 each. Oh yeah, if you get in without paying, they'll stop & out you off! Get to walking! Someone tried to use an expired ticket in the app, they stopped like a block later to make them get off!

BTW get the GO city card it will save you a ton of money. This tour was phenomenal. We did a full two hour ride the first time around and then did our hop on hop off. These buses come around about every 15-30 minutes so you are never waiting too long for one and stops at all the places you would want to see in San Fransisco. The tour guide was so funny and knowledgeable about the history of the city so we had fun and learned a lot. I recommend this to anyone wanting to see the city as a whole before exploring it on foot. This service makes that easy and fun.

Horrible experience…read more I have been living in San Francisco for 10 years and never had the desire to ride this before, mostly because I had never heard anything good about it. Unfortunately, my experience confirmed everything I had heard. My child loves trains and buses, so we decided to give it a try to make him happy. We waited for two hours, and then out of nowhere they announced it was delayed. When someone asked how long the delay would be, the staff said, "I don't know." It was extremely frustrating -- isn't it their job to know what's going on? If they had been clear from the beginning, we would have left, but we thought it might only be a 10-minute delay. Almost 40 minutes later, they said it was closed and they didn't know when it would reopen. They mentioned there was a "free bus" around the corner, but people were fighting just to get on it because it was the only one they provided. Just a reminder: each ticket costs $9, yet no one explained anything or offered help. Unfortunately, I didn't learn my lesson. Wanting to make my child happy, we tried again another day. I honestly hope my child never asks to ride it again. After waiting another hour, just as we were about to get on, the man taking tickets told me -- in a very rude way -- that he would not accept my ticket and told me to move so others could get in. When I asked why and what he meant, he just repeated, "I'm not taking your ticket. Move." No explanation, no help, just rudeness. My husband told him we would buy another ticket, and even then he refused to let us on -- despite the car staying there for another 10 minutes. Completely unacceptable service and an awful experience overall.

The information inside the guide is simple but useful, it highlights neighborhoods in SF that tourists wouldn't normally even think about and this is important for tourists who want to get the full SF experience. Lastly, and this might sound odd, but I like the ads. IT highlights locals businesses that I wouldnt have normally thought about, and I like when money in San Francisco is recycled within the city, it creates long term relationships between vendors and local businesses. Great guides, thanks being a great part of our local hospitality culture!

In the city for the weekend, we booked the tour on Saturday and were told to check in at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday. At that time, the gentleman at the desk told us that we would take the ferry to Alcatraz at 11:00 a.m., the city tour at 3:00 p.m. and the walking tour at 5:00 p.m. The Alcatraz portion went fine. We had a couple hours to kill after that, and then went and took the city tour. As another reviewer mentioned, the bus is a school bus (stickers for school bus rules still attached at the front of the bus) with its top cut off. The seats/benches are not precisely built for comfort! I have re-named this portion the Psychedelic Bus Tour because it was so bizarre. We, too, had Timber as our guide, an aging hippy who was apparently a professional photographer (and insists you let him take your photos if you want them to turn out well), a bit actor and now a tour guide. The tour was unintentionally hilarious -- and would have remained so throughout the three long hours had one been drunk or perhaps on 'shrooms; however, after two hours everyone on the bus was looking for an escape route. First of all, the only stops we made were at the Palace of Fine Arts and the Golden Gate bridge, both of which occurred within the first 30 mins of the tour. We were then regaled with the driver's stream of consciousness ramblings about anything from a new bike trail ("Oh, wow, I hadn't noticed that before!") to comments about pretty young women on the street (all spoken over the loudspeaker so that the women in question could undoubtedly hear as well) to police activity near the Disney museum ("Look at that -- three police cars! I wonder what's going on there. We definitely don't want to stop here!") We were also subjected to his politically incorrect sociological views, such as the "fact" that there are "10-12 reasons" that people become homeless (this as we were stopped at a light in front of Golden Gate park where said homeless were happily smoking pot) and, while driving through Chinatown, the observation that one thing the Chinese know well is capitalism! Ah, and we were also introduced to a transgender club (with a warning to the gentlemen that pretty ladies might not be ladies at all) and a topless club. And there were children on the bus!!! Lest I forget, in the middle of the Golden Gate bridge, on went the radio to a local 70's/80's station and we were 'treated' to such best-forgotten hits as Janet Jackson's "Nasty Boys" and Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight". I'm telling you, a drunk would have had a blast on this tour; me, being all too sober, not so much! As for the walking tour, well, how were we supposed to be there at 5:00 p.m. when the bus tour lasted over three hours??? We were dropped off at 6:15 p.m. and had obviously missed it. Since we left San Francisco that same night, there was no way to do it on another day. In fact, we weren't even told that we could do it another day, which strikes me as rather unethical, seeing as how the man we originally checked in with had to have known that the bus tour was 3 hours long and would overlap with the walking tour. All in all, I'd recommend that others book the tours separately. The bus tour definitely isn't for families, but a group of college age kids or single (drunk) adults might get a kick out of the guide's bizarre ramblings.
