She provided education around what the options were (I knew nothing about window treatments), and also made great suggestions about what would look good in our home. The sales person knew her stuff and made great recommendations, the office staff followed up regularly to update us on our order and schedule an install date, and the installer was neat and efficient. We had a quality issue - related to the way the blind was manufactured - and Skyline came to inspect it, ordered a replacement, and kept us informed while the replacement blind was being made. Without a doubt the best company I've worked with since buying our house over 3 years ago. Everything from the initial contact, to the quote to installation was flawless. We didn't even go anywhere for a second opinion after meeting with Jennifer. She was so sweet and helpful and not a pushy salesperson at all. We ended up going with shutters on our first floor and wood blinds on our 2nd and 3rd floor then changed our minds and wanted to change one of the coverings to shutters after installation. They let us swap out to shutters only having to pay for the price difference and installation for the shutters. Could not recommend them more!! read more

Skyline installed blinds in our condo back in May 2018. We decided on the honeycomb shades and they helped us figure out what would look best on our sliding glass door as well. They were great when they came to our house - not pushy at all. Installation went well and everything looks great. A couple weeks ago, the pull-string to raise up the blinds wasn't working well. We called Skyline and they came out within a few days and updated the pull-system without any issues. We are very happy with our service and would buy from them again. read more

I'm pretty late in writing this review but thought I would post my review now while a did a few others....I still remember my experience very well. Before working with skyline I met with two other companies and they didn't seem interested in taking me on as a client. Chrissy was so different. She came in with such a great and upbeat attitude. As a first time homeowner I knew absolutely nothing about blinds and shades. She sat me down for a few hours and explained all of my options. What I really loved and what made me choose skyline is that after looking at my condo, she had an opinion. She told me what she thought would look best while other companies just told me to choose what I liked. Her recommendation was beyond perfect and I have received several compliments. What made me appreciate this company even more is when I made the first payment, it didn't go through. Rather than call me with a snarky attitude Chrissy said, "Hey Sara just wanted to let you know the payment is kicking back to me. Would you like to give me another card?"I really value her wording and giving me a chance to figure out why my card wasn't working. Professionalism at its finest! Skyline has been wonderful to work with from start to finish. About two years ago we worked with them to design and install window coverings throughout our newly renovated home. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient, and timely. Recently, when I sent them an email with questions about how some of our shades were operating, they sent someone out, at no cost, to take a look. A simple part was replaced in one of the window coverings, everything was leveled and adjusted while he was here, and everything looks and operates like new. Absolutely amazing customer service. We recently moved from a condo to a house in the burbs and needed window treatments in 10 sets of windows. We got quotes from 3 different places and found that Skyline's pricing was pretty competitive; when we were wavering between two different companies, Chrissy even gave us a small discount for paying in cash. We were very satisfied with both the customer service, responsiveness and recommendations Chrissy made. We bought different Hunter Douglas blinds, including the sillouette, wood blinds and woven wood ones. Although we've only had them for about 3 months, we're very happy with them, especially the sillouette ones. They look very elegant, yet simple. Also, the installation went quickly and smoothly. The installers were very polite, efficient and friendly, even taking off their shoes to avoid trecking dirt into our house. They explained how to use each type of treatment and gave some tips for troubleshooting in the event the cords got stuck. Overall, we were very pleased with the service and product and would recommend Skyline for window treatments. I will say that one downside to one of our window blinds is that the we covered two side-by-side windows with one set of horizontal wood blinds so they are very heavy; the result is if you try to make them go up or down, sometimes the blinds get stuck. In my view, one advantage with using Skyline is that it is a small company/business owner so the result was that not only was the price competitive, but I felt that the service was more personable, that the owner cared about finding you treatments that you liked and that looked good, and that she spent the time needed to make sure you were happy with what you picked. (Chrissy made multiple trips to our home, and made recommendations and revisions to our proposal when we changed our minds). read more

I received quotes from all of the major companies and Skyline stood out with their professionalism, knowledge of the Hunter Douglas product, and their ability to help me pick the best solution for my needs. Not to mention, they were the cheapest because they don't charge sales tax. It has to do with them having installers that work for them as employees versus the competition that subcontracts the installation. Everyone I worked was so nice and helpful. We give Skyline Window Coverings 5 Stars because they were so great, and reasonably priced. We had a small project in our bedroom, and we knew we wanted Hunter Douglas shades, so we priced out 4 different companies and Skyline came in with a fair price and they were not too pushy. About a year after the project was completed, we needed one of our shades to be adjusted and Skyline was very responsive and came back to our condo within no time at all and no questions asked to make the adjustments! She really knows her products and has good sensibility of what works and doesn't work for various windows. She was extremely generous with her time, and educated us on all the window treatment options that would work in our new home. However, she did not waste our time by discussing products that were not suitable for us. My only problem was that the options discussed were all so good, it was tough deciding which product to go with, a good problem to have. Jennefier was also very good about following up with us and sending us more photos to help us in our decision making process. I cannot believe how they have transformed the room. They are so nice that they literally bring a Dyson hand vac to clean up after they walk on your floors. I just moved and have a whole house to redecorate and wouldn't think of using anyone else. I am usually a "do it yourself" window treatment person who orders inexpensive blinds online, but knew that wasn't an option for the shutters. I now see the advantage of having them do ALL of my blinds. The cost for their in-home custom really wasn't that much more. read more

I can't say enough good things about Skyline. We had a smaller project - French doors with transom and window blinds in a small bedroom. After much deliberation picked Hunter Douglas duettes for both the rooms. We solicited 3 price quotes. One of the other vendors was just not good and even misrepresented to us that one of our color choices was not available. They had just neglected to bring it in the samples book. Long story short, Skyline gave us the best quote, so much so that I was able to get the power option for the French door blinds for the same price as the unpowered option quoted by the other two vendors. The service process went smoothly as did the actual install. Jason is clearly passionate about his product and takes pride in his work. He spent a fair amount of time tinkering during the install to make sure everything was just right. Jason and Mike are a well-oiled team and did the work efficiently and effectively. Additionally, and what I really liked, was that Jason solved two seemingly intractable problems for which the other vendors had no solution: a door handle that would be hard to open without damaging the blinds and how to fasten down the blinds at the door bottom so the blinds didn't flap around when the door open and closed. I'll spare the details of the proposed solutions that were made, none of which were satisfactory. Jason had a vendor who customizes extensions for door handles so there is more space between the handle lever and the blinds. Problem one solved. Jason also, on his own initiative, installed small magnets at the bottom of the door and blinds so that when the blinds are lowered they are held in place by the magnets. When the blinds are raised by the power mechanism, the magnets allow them to pull away and raise up. This obviated the need for me to have to bend down and unlatch fasteners or to simply allow the blinds to flap around. Problem two solved. I couldn't be happier and plan on using Skyline again this summer when we will replace our 17 year old wood blinds in the living room. Highly recommended without qualification. read more

I have to say, I didn't even purchase my custom shades through Skyline Window Coverings and they were amazing! I had a simple question about mounting the balloon shades I purchased because the company I bought from forgot instructions, mounting brackets etc. I called up a random Chicago company, (Skyline Window Coverings) hoping someone would help me. Jason answered the phone and easily could've turned me down considering I didn't even buy through them. He was amazing! He just asked me to send a few photos of my shades and he'd help me out as best he could. He responded immediately and walked me through what I needed to do.
