a sandwich truck parked in a parking lot

Alright people. It's time! I've been wanting to try Skyscraper Sandwiches FOR YEARS. It's been too, too long but today's the day! At Hops on the Hill over the weekend, we tried some big a** sandwiches. I couldn't decide between the Broccoli Rabe or Pastrami Grilled cheese - two sandwiches I've drooled over seeing on social. The Pastrami would have been the classic choice knowing what they do best, but that broccoli rabe called my name. When done well, it's done well. The NY rye it came on was delicious! Paired perfectly and the broccoli rabe was cooked very well. I definitely feel a sauce would have taken this sandwich to the next level. The hubs got the Pastrami Cheesecake which he devoured. It was HUGE. The pickles they came with were also the perfect compliment! As a pickle girl, I wish I could have ordered more on the side. We'll see y'all again soon, cause I definitely need to try this whole menu!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on one of their sandwiches after following them on Instagram. For about 10 or 12 bucks, you get a massive doubled decker sandwich. Definitely worth checking out if you see them in your area or at a festival.

I really enjoyed the pastrami grilled cheese, comes with an onion jam. However, it could've used a little bit more meat. Their pickles are also very good and fresh. I've had the truck twice now and it was good each time. I have not tried any of the other sandwiches yet but they do look delicious. Staff is friendly. Would definitely recommend trying them out! Found out that you can get a full pickle (which is very large) for $2.

Really fricking delicious sandwiches! These things are cooked with love and cooked to perfection. We booked their truck for an event at work; they showed up early and were really professional and friendly. I love that they have vegetarian options, and really good vegetarian options at that. When I ordered they gave me a buzzer that goes off when the food is ready, I thought that was really cool and super efficient. I ordered the portobello sandwich with Swiss and broccoli rabe, it was SOOOO good. I love the bread as well so it was a pleasant surprise that that's their main bread they use. If you see them out somewhere or need a food truck for an event, give them a shot!

We placed orders for 12 of us over the phone today, we went to pick up the goods around an hour later. I got their Italian Sandwich this time. Previously I've had several of the salads. I think collectively my office has had their entire menu. From sandwiches, to salads, to pizzas, to lasagna and more. Every single meal has always been super fresh, where all you can hear is "mmmmmMmmmms..." My lunch was served on a freshly baked Italian hoagie roll, filled with roasted peppers, ham, tomatoes, mixed greens, capicola and provolone cheese. In addition to each and every single ingredient being super fresh, this was also a very large portion. I could have easily shared the other half with someone else, had it on another day or ate it right after the first portion... which one did I do? The restaurant it's self is little and very cute, it was full at 12:00 o'clock today. If you're looking for a quick and fresh lunch or dinner around the Wethersfield area, Lenoci's will check each of your boxes.

The girls were lovely and patient with those that didn't know the menu. Offering specials and favorites alike. For me the multiple tables of Italian men eating their soup and bread lunch, while catching up on the gossip is something you do not see nowadays. Again a lovely spot.

It was tender, juicy, flavorful grilled chicken on fresh bread with some absolutely kicking honey mustard. I will 100% go back to this place because The sandwich was near perfection. That being said, the service was seriously subpar. By that I mean, both slow and particularly unwelcoming. In addition, I feel the need to mention that we chose to stay there to eat, and both the tables and the salt and pepper shakers were absolutely filthy. So, despite the fact that it wasn't a perfect experience... their menu is really extensive and the food is delicious, so I'm sure we'll visit again sometime! Maybe we will order ahead and get our food to go!

Happy with them! The italiano was good I just wasn't crazy about the bread and I'd add spicy brown mustard and extra cheese next time. The turkey ham bacon grinder was good just needed pickles (which I added at home) and the chicken bacon wrap was perfect. Service was a young lady who was very nice in store. Also! They had blue raspberry popsicles!! I've been looking for these and craving them for almost two years now, I would come back for those alone but also the sandwiches.

I love the really huge booth! I like the vegan options too! To start it out, I'm having a Saratoga sparkling water. I've never seen the smaller, plastic bottle versions. I like this stuff! They serve seasoned popcorn as a complementary item. That's different. It's quite fresh and very good! For my first drink, I'm having a Cosmopolitan. This is made with Tito's Vodka, cranberry juice, orange liqueur and a little lemon juice. I like the floating dried lime wheel garnish. Nice glass. This tastes perfect! For my first item, I'm having the Caesar Salad. This is made with little gems lettuce, shaved Parmesan (light), brioche croutons and Caesar dressing (light). Well, it's not tossed so I think I scared the cook when I wanted light dressing. Croutons are nice and soft. I like the dressing. This is good! For my next item, I'm having the Beyond Chicken Nuggets. These are eight nuggets. I've never had these before! I'm having the Mango Szechuan sauce and the Szechuan dry rub. Let's see what this tastes like! These are good! I taste sweetness but not very spicy. For my entree (burger), I'm having the The Great Beyond Combo. This is a burger made with Beyond Italian Sausage, pickled jalapeño, raw red onion (raw? Who the heck actually cooks it?) and Dijon aioli on a sesame seminal hero. I want it as spicy as possible. The Combo includes an order of cole slaw. It is all served on a warm, green metal plate. The cole slaw is served in a cold little bowl. I like it! I can taste the heat of the sandwich. Well, a little of it. It tastes great though! Yummy! For my last drink, I'm having a Chai Old Fashioned made with Evan Williams bourbon, chai, sugar (do they actually muddle a sugar cube? Nah!) and Angostura bitters. This is different! Chai and bourbon! It is served in a big, huge glass with a single, large, square ice cube to slow the dilution process. Great garnish! A star anise! If you eat it, there is a licorice taste. That's very original! Good job! What a great meal here!

They have some cute holiday decor, and on each table they have a bottle of wine. The waitress who came to serve me appeared very limited in English. I told her I'd like a slice of the Bread Pudding, and I pointed to it in the menu. She told me "no" as she pointed back to it using her pen. Ok. That's disappointing. I noticed they make fresh juice from strawberries, mango and other fruits. I told her I'd like the strawberry juice. Again she pointed to it and said "no". Why did I come here, everything is "no"? I told her I'll have the mango juice. She finally said "ok". She asked me if I want my juice with aqua or with leche. I told her aqua. Wouldn't it be a smoothie if it was with milk? I also wondered what kind of response I'd get if I asked for the flan. "No" is the answer to that! Shortly after, I heard the blender running. My juice was delivered to me. It came in a large beer mug, and was filled to the brim. This was so tasty and truly mango! I finished my juice and waited forever for the bill. It wasn't that busy there were two other patrons. I asked for the bill, both of the waitresses passed by me at least ten times before I finally got the bill. While the juice was very tasty, they had nothing else that I was interested in, while all of these things are in the menu. The checkout process was very slow. I will not be stopping by Toby's again.

I was expecting more of a take out vibe, but that was not the case. I ordered the butifarra sandwich (I think they only have sandwiches on the weekend? Not sure). I honestly wasn't sure what I was ordering, but when I got it I believe it was similar to shaved pork loin. I honestly wish I got asada for meat because I am not the biggest pork fan, but everything else on the sandwich made it come together! They gave me a green sauce that she told me to put on the sandwich and she wasn't wrong!! It was DELICIOUS, I wish i had 5 more cups of it! The Portuguese roll was also so soft and fresh. It was great. The staff was all very friendly! There was an older man there who greeted me and waved me over once my food was done (didn't take longer than 10 minutes from ordering to me going out the door). Was it Toby?! Maybe! I can't wait to come back and try the Lomo and Ceviche!
