I asked to be moved more inside and we sat down. The girl from the wait staff sighed loudly when pouring our water glasses. Very rude. Then, we noticed three other tables with couples didn't have food. They took looked miserable. My husband said to me this place was a far cry from what we expired months ago. I opened my menu and it was badly stained and grabbed another. This was worse than the other as the page was ripped in half that I couldn't read the appetizers. How can you present this so poorly to people? We overheard more than one wait staff complaining loudly that someone was late in arriving. We assumed the kitchen was backed up, hence their unprofessional complaining and ill planning for the holiday. We opted to walk out and leave. They were visibly happy to see us leave. Awful! We will NOT be coming back. We had a wonderful time across the street at Salty Dog and were treated like valuable patrons; not ignored.

I walked to the back of the restaurant and there were 2 people who didn't say anything to me, they just looked at me like "Why are you here?" - It was 6:45PM and there was no one else in the place. They weren't very welcoming either. I asked the woman if she could help me; "What's good to order here?" NO ANSWER just a strange stare. After this crazy, insensitive, uninformative conversation, I got the house rice with lamb. I asked her to please put extra lamb in the container, which she could have, but she filled it very sparingly (she was being cheap). I went home, put the food in bowls I have and ate. The house rice was very good, and the lamb was tasty, but it was very gelatinous, boney and had a lot of cartilage in it. Like the cheap pieces of meat you would get from the butcher. I wasn't very happy with the salad either, it just looked off. They gave it to me in a piece of aluminum foil, which I though was pretty weird. I got some very strange dressing that tasted off also, so, to be safe, I threw the salad away. Needless to say, I will not be going back. I would have done better at a Halal Meat cart with a lamb and rice for 8-9 dollars. I hate to say it, because I hate giving bad reviews... But this place was awful.

We started with samosas, two types; vegetable and chicken. These savory pastries were packed with well season veggies and chicken. The crust was light, flaky and perfectly crispy. The Lamb shanks was so tender, the meat fell of the bone. The spinach and paneer, a homemade cheese, paired well with the shank and vegetable fried rice. This spicy concoction cut through the heaviness of the meat dishes like a butter knife. The combination of flavors complimented each other and balanced the meal perfectly. The chai tea is a must. The original, smells and tastes like warm caramel. The "Kashmir chai" is an acquired taste. Less flavor intense than the regular chai but the pretty pink color adorned with shaved pistachio was a hit for the kids. If you still have room, carrot pudding, basil seed sherbet, assorted fudge and sweets are at your fingertips. Prices are reasonable, won't break the bank. I guarantee you will enjoy the experience.

No taste at all with at least 2/3days cooked old meat and properly uncooked naan which taste rubbery. I had nahari here many times. I believe ownership and chef has been changed.
