I had my son's birthday party here this past weekend . The staff and owners were extremely helpful and polite. They were actually happy to be there not like many other party place employees on SI that I have experienced. The facility is very roomy,the kids had so much space to play. When the black lights came on and all the rock walls glowed the kids went nuts! Experience: This place is OUTSTANDING! I can not believe I only found this climbing gym now; I would've been climbing for months! I came to Rock'em Extreme (RE) last week during my spring break and was in awe at all RE had to offer... Glow in the dark rock climbing was certainly a highlight!! Structure & Equipment: RE's largest room is equipped to serve both beginner and higher level climbers. In addition to the classic climbing walls, RE's largest room has a side section of "ninja warrior" style equipment (free hanging bars, angled ropes, and rope ladder). On the second floor there is a bouldering room with peg boards (where I spent most of my time). All of the equipment is safe, odorless and very clean. Management: Some how, despite everything RE has to offer, the headline of our visit was Larry. It is immensely refreshing to meet someone so invested in his clientele and their experience. Larry brought a level of excitement for the facility, and openness to inform us about its many assets, that is unfortunately rarely found. I am eager to come back and even more excited to see what amazing addition Larry makes next. I'd recommend Rock'em Extreme to everyone, and will continue to do so. read more

Love this climbing gym. My favorite chill spot on the island! The owner is very kind and a great guy! There's auto belays, manual belays, and bouldering. There's also monkey bars, a punching bag & gloves, peg climbing, and the owner also teaches self defense! The bathrooms are well kept & clean. Very spacious inside and don't have to worry about people being under your space. However, IF you have KIDS, please, for the sake of everyone's safety and health, please WATCH YOUR KIDS. Don't let them eat on the mats, or throw chalk all over the place, or do gymnastics and wrestling on the mats whilst people are climbing. Parents, please supervise. read more

Rock em Extreme has great potential to be an amazing climbing gym that could compete with gyms like Brooklyn Boulders but has not seized it. If you want serious climbing this is not the place to do it. Mostly full of little kids running around rather than climbers. Also clear that rock climbing is not the focus with all the other activities going on there. I wish it were different. read more

Loved the experience at Rock'em Extreme! We had a birthday party for three of my sons here during the last week in December. There were over 45 children ranging in ages from 2 through 10, and around 60 adults. The space easily accommodated this many people and, with so many children running around, it never felt crowded or cramped. The kids LOVED climbing the rock walls. There were several areas set up for the children to burn off all their calories jumping and climbing. There were suspended rings, cargo nets, rope climbs, monkey bars, a rotating rock wall, and two massive rock walls. They even had a second floor with balcony that overlooked the entire facility, complete with more rock walls and boxing equipment. The party was well under way when, all of a sudden, the lights went off and on came the black-lights. To my surprise, the entire facility fluoresced, giving the kids a one of a kind rock climbing experience. The owner, his wife, and his staff were great to work with. They were extremely attentive to all their guests, served the food and cleaned up promptly, and made sure all the kids got a LOT of time on the walls. A great time was had by all. The price was great and the value even better. The owner and staff took care of ALL the arrangements...we just had to mail the invites and show up to have a good time :) If you're looking for a fun time, a bit of exercise, a great place to have a not-your-run-of-the-mill party, or just a fun place to bring your kid, check out Rock'em Extreme! read more

Love coming here to rock climb. Also my son is taught by Larry in Martial Arts who is the best teacher out there. He works wonders with the children. He is very patient and kind! I had my sons birthday party here and all his friends had a blast! Don't listen to the bad reviews because the people who bad mouth this place are not happy with themselves and would never be happy with any place! Found a deal on groupon for this facility and decided to give it a try, it ended up being a really nice, fun place to rock climb.
