Absolutely loved Slackwater! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and inviting, and the whole experience was great from start to finish. Our servers were super friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful, and it's definitely the kind of place I'd come back to again and again. Great food, great vibe, and great service -- highly recommend!

We had reservations here on a Thursday night before a show at Hale. They were very quick, so we didn't have to stress at all about timing. My one complaint is that we made our reservation for 6:15, but at 5:55, I received a text that my table was ready and would only be held for 10 minutes. That means our table would be given away if we didn't arrive 10 minutes BEFORE our reservation time. The pizza is fantastic. Which I kept saying to my party through bites of pizza. It is the crust that makes this pizza. It is a little sweet but not in a dessert way. It has the perfect chewy bite. I was impressed. I never eat pizza crust, not ever, but it was good enough that my dogs didn't get their usual crust treat. We tried 4 different pizzas and I would recommend any of them.

Slackwater has to be my number one favorite pizza I have found in Utah so far. Nothing beats the fluffy, crispy, and cheesy calzones! The buffalo Chicken Sandwich is a close second though. I've never had a bad experience. Waiters are always kind. The only bummer is the wait. It's so good the place is always packed. Plan heading there earlier than when you want to actually eat. I love the live music at the Sandy location - such a vibe. Slackwater also has a fantastic beer menu where I fell in love with my favorite beer!

Slackwater is a lively, upbeat pizza restaurant with a great beer selection, great atmosphere and great food. My family stayed down the street at the HGI in Sandy for 5 nights for my son's soccer tournament and we visited Slackwater 3 times. Pro tip: join the waitlist on Yelp! Even during the week, the wait was 30+ mins each time. Food was great. We tried a lot of different pizzas - we got the Chicken Bro-Do, Hot Honey DP, Tikka Masala, Taco Camarones and Margherita. The airy artisan crust is the same on all pizzas and is delicious. I would recommend them all outside of the Camarones which felt a bit underwhelming as there was very little shrimp and flavor was flat. The Citrus Morita dry rub wings are incredible. We ordered these every night. The Morita chile sauce I would throw on everything. Super fresh and flavorful. It had the right amount of heat . The breadsticks are really good. Same bread that they use for the pizza and stuffed with a ton of cheese. Marinara sauce that comes with it is top notch. The Diablo sticks are spicy just to be spicy. The sauce isn't good. We switched to regular marinara. Would recommend staying away from these. Service is great. Everyone is very attentive. The staff definitely give off a chill energy but are focused, alert and friendly. This place is a must if you're in the area. Hope we can make it back someday.

No 9 on the list of best restaurants in the USA according to Yelp! My local friend raves about it. It was packed when I went in to pick up my order...all very positive signs and the expectations were high. I got the monthly special pizza..."Spring Fling" which was great. The crust was a little sweet as well which was unique. The Caesar salad was not that good and a little listless. Service was very disappointing sadly. From the time I placed the order on the phone to when I picked up the food, the staff was curt and dour. Not sure if that's their shtick but it was not for me. They did not giver me napkins or a fork so had to go back and ask for it which I did...nicely. They gave it to me with zero words and with a grumpy look like I was bothering them. Maybe they think they don't need to be customer-focused, given how popular they are. Not a good sign if you ask me, hubris never ends well.

We love coming to this place! My cousin from out out town stayed over and when they asked for pizza and wings, I knew this place would rock their world! They drove in pretty late so for the first time, we got ours to-go. I will say, in the pizza box the pizza did look way smaller compared to when we dine in. But we ordered our usual 2 tiki masala chickens ( it is the #1 pizza for a reason) the cardiac arrest , and the jala-berry seasonal wings. The pizzas make look small, but they are very filling. 2 men and 2 women and we still had a whole pizza left! The seasonal wings were so good! The poppyseed sauce on the wings was the cherry on top! I will say, I wish the wings were bigger or had more meat. Each wing had probably a finger full of chicken. But it was still delicious!!! Even as a Togo order they did not disappoint! I ordered during peak hours thinking it would take a while , but they had it all ready to go in 15 minutes which was impressive for a Friday night! If you love pizza and want to discover new flavors, slackwater should be your #1 choice!! If you love curry, the tiki masala should be your first choice! If that seems weird to you , just think of The bread of the pizza is almost like the naan bread .

We recently had a meal here along with our entire volleyball team and their families. I was impressed at how they easily handled such a large party and was also impressed with their variety in food and drinks! Everyone found something to eat and they seemed great adapting to all kind of palates and allergies. I had the half soup and sandwich and a light beer. Would totally return to try other yummy sounding food on the menu.

Been a while since I left a review. Besides their endless beers, nothing has changed! Parking lot is huge but this place is ALWAYS busy!! Thursday night we had a 25-40 min wait for 2, but they check you in w text so you can hang at the bar etc. and it went by so fast we didn't even have time to pick a beer at the bar haha before our table was ready. I haven't had a bad pizza here yet either! And I love the size cause it's not too much pizza but also not too little. Goldilocks pizza I guess love love love! Still one of my fav places to bring out of town guests! My friend loved it!

Line waiting wasn't too bad especially when you can use Yelp to get in line ahead of time. Pizza--sweet fluffy bread crust. It's fun to try but not my ideal for a pizza. It had more of a bread feel to it than a crust and dominated the pizza rather than completing it. The crust edge was also very large in relationship to the toppings middle. Grape and Gorgeous flavor was delicious. The spin-art dip was thick cheese and surprisingly needed to be more dippable to enjoy. Limited artichoke flavor, mainly cheese Service was all over the place. We waited about 15 min for our check. Understand that it gets busy here but 15 min is quite excessive to wait.

I've been to this location a few times now, most recently after going to an aerial class with my Yelp fam. I first went to the location in Ogden before it moved down to Salt Lake County. I love the unique flavor combinations of pizzas. I also love that they have GF and vegan options as well. Our service this past Wednesday was great! We were seated pretty quickly, even on a somewhat busy evening. Our server was attentive and patient with us. He definitely took care of us that night. All of the pizzas we got were delicious! The wings at Slackwater were great too (my husband always gets wings if they're on the menu, and these did not disappoint)! They also carried Shades Brewing sours, which we were excited about. We did spend a few minutes outside, next to the fire pits, finishing off the night in more conversation on a cold night.

We came with a group of six on a Wednesday evening and only waited around 15 minutes, which was nice. Our waitress was wonderful, super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the California Sunrise and liked it. My husband enjoyed his Iron Horse pizza, and everyone else seemed happy with their meals. However, we specifically chose this spot because they offer gluten-free options, and two of our friends are gluten-free, including one with serious celiac disease. Unfortunately, he got sick about an hour later, likely from cross-contamination. It was really disappointing and potentially dangerous for someone with severe celiac, so just something to be aware of if that applies to you. I really hope the restaurant takes better precautions in the future.

Absolutely amazing dinner at Slackwater. Traveling from Cleveland, Ohio and my group stumbled upon Slackwater for dinner. Amazing, robust menu, pleasant knowledge service and absolutely delicious food! I had the butternut squash soup and butternut special pizza. YUM! I'll be back!!
